You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife,
nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey,
nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
Torah: Exodus 20:17

For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

1 John 2:16-17

Let’s start with a couple of basic truths as follows:

Coveting is one root of moral failure.

Comparison is the root of coveting.

Let’s look at some examples from the Holy Bible.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel.”

The children of Israel had just experienced a tremendous victory at Jericho (their first battle after crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land). They decided at their next battle, which would be at Ai, that they take lots less men to battle because they had learned from spies sent out that the people of Ai were few. However the Israelites suffered terrible defeat at Ai.

Joshua fell on his face and cried out to the LORD. God answered him, “For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.” “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”

Joshua called out (through revelation) the tribes, families, clans and households in the camp of Israel. It was found that Achan had taken a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels and hid them in the ground in the middle of his tent. He had taken the “accursed things” that belonged to God. Notice that in the original Hebrew―and depending on the context―what is “devoted to God” is “accursed to man” when stolen from God.

So all Israel took Achan―with his sons, daughters, animals and tent … and the “accursed things” he had stolen―and burned them with fire after they had stoned them.

In the Garden of Eden, Eve was tempted by Satan. God had instructed Adam: “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Satan tempted Eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which she did. “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”

NOTICE THIS: You can talk to God. He understands the situation. Ask Him for help. When you are tempted with coveting or lust, learn to say to the LORD, “Jesus, do you want to do this with me?” And, if you can’t ask that questionor feel uncomfortable asking itthen you know NOT to perform the action.

Just because it feels goodor looks gooddoes NOT make it good. In Genesis 3:6 we read that Eve thought the fruit was:

Good for food

Lust of the flesh

Pleasant to the eyes

Lust of the eyes

Desired to make one wise

Pride of life

But in 1 John 2:16 we read that, For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” And in verse 17, And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

When the Holy Spirit was poured out on Jesus’ followers—on the Jewish Holiday of Pentecost—the people in the Early Church decided to have all things in common and share their goods in community with one another. They were so happy that the promised Messiah had come to pay for their sins on the cross-stake and was raised from the dead after three days. They were ALL Jews who followed Him … plus maybe a few unkown Gentiles.

Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.” (Acts 2:44)

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.” (Acts 4:32)

Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.” (Acts 4:34-35)

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. Andhe kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.

Ananias and his wife, Sapphira,coveted the praise of others and fell prey to the pride of life. They wanted to compare themselves with the other believers—to be seen as sharing in like manner—while holding back part of the price of the land they sold. They did NOT even have to give the price of the land …it was theirs … but they wanted to look like the others who were sharing 100% … and therefore they lied to the Holy Spirit.

It’s easy to see that coveting and lust are bedpartners. It’s also easy to discern that the antidote―basically, the solution―to COVETING is contentment.

Now godliness with contentment is great gain.”
1 Timothy 6:6

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.”
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hebrews 13:5

The other bedpartner―LUST―can actually be removed with a good dose of faithfulness and self-control.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law. Those
who belong to Messiah
have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not become conceited … envying one another.”

Galatians 5:22-26

Coveting and lust are basically stealing: wanting what is another’s. There are, also, some other areas of coveting that are often overlooked.

Coveting can involve stealing from God. Stealing the glory―or the credit―that belongs to Him.

Lack of respect for your neighbor … or another person or entity.

Doing what Satan does: desiring to be like God. When Eve desired the fruit of the (forbidden) tree to make one wise, she was the same as attempting to sit in God’s throne.

Contentment is the antidote to coveting.
Faithfulness and self-control are the antidote to lust.

“You once walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the [evil] spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.”
Ephesians 2:2

When it comes to character, play offense!
Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill lust of flesh.”
Galatians 5:16

If you have NOT received the POWER to WIN over coveting and lust,
Pray this prayer …

“Lord Jesus, I need help. I know you’re there. Please save me and forgive my sins.
Give me the POWER to walk in the Holy Spirit and to serve you here on earth.

Take me to Heaven when I die. Thanks for hearing me!”

The devil does NOT want you to have this information. Print a copy.
File with your important papers so that you will always have it available.
If you don’t need it now, you will some day. This teaching has you covered!

Action is the process of doing something to achieve an aim. Actions speak louder than goals because what one does means more than what one plans. Goals are good, but without action they are infertile and sterile . . . they are uninspired and uninventive. I believe in setting goals, and I have taught the importance of goal setting for 50 years. However, there are times in your life and ministry where you will have to FORCE YOUR SELF to take . . . or possibly, maintain . . . action. That is what this podcast teaching is about!

I want you to burn the following scriptures into your mind:

“Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.” [2 Chronicles 15:7]

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. [1 Corinthians 15:58]

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” [Galatians 6:9]

There is a time to rest, there is a time to heal, there is a time to reflect, there is a time to regroup . . . however, let God lead you in these times. Be led of the Spirit in these times just as you are in the days of battle. Never quit! As we discuss in the book The Art and Principles of Christian Warfare, we only regroup so that we may advance in battle more powerfully and effectively.

Recently I have been studying the life of King David again. I felt as though I were with him. I almost cried when reading and reflecting upon the consequences of his sin. It is plain to see where David’s problem started:

“And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.” [2 Samuel 11:1]

Lust, adultery, murder, fourfold judgment on his family: these were the results of NOT going to war at the time of year when the other kings went to battle. In this teaching, Goal Attainment: Actions Speak Louder than Goals,” I am going to help you make sure that NEVER happens in your life.

It is interesting to notice that things turned around for King David after HE turned around. In 2 Samuel 18:1-4 we read that, “David numbered the people that were with him, and set captains of thousands and captains of hundreds over them.” David then split the warriors up into three parts under the leadership of his top three generals, and said to the people, “I will surely go forth with you myself also.” But the people said to him, “You shall not go forth (with us) . . . for you are worth ten thousand of us . . . it is better that you aid us from the city.” And David answered, “What seems best to you I will do.”

Notice that David’s intent was to go to battle with his army; this is what is important: the intent of the heart. He had learned his lesson the hard way. Never stop fighting, at least in the intent of your heart. You must MAINTAIN a “warrior” mentality. You must have spiritual and mental control of the situation at all times. Even in times of “R and R” (rest and recreation) you must maintain a warrior attitude and be listening to God for instructions about the future battle(s).

Your job is to constantly appropriate victory through faith as you listen to and obey the voice of the Spirit for the glory of God.

This is a message for many of God’s People. Is this YOUR experience? You …

Have not fulfilled your heart’s desires in your life’s calling (including ministry desires);

Are not enjoying your work (including ministry); or,

Have been (or are being) beaten up by the enemy (and, sometimes by God’s children).

Whenever asked about the secret of his success, real estate developer and billionaire, Donald Trump, always answers, “Do what you enjoy!”

It’s true. We must be excited about our work . . . especially Christians and those in God’s work.

The purpose of this teaching is to both CHALLENGE you and HELP you:

Enjoy your work;

Do what you want; and,

Maintain victory so that you can always take action.

Be the person you always wanted to be . . . make it happen!

King Solomon said, “There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul [enjoy] good in his labor. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.” [Ecclesiastes 2:24]

Many people are “stale” and not on the cutting edge because they do NOT enjoy their work. They love God but are lacking the anointing to be a “new sharp threshing instrument.” [Isaiah 41:15] The enemy’s job is to get you discouraged . . . and then to lose your vision.

If this describes you, I have some good news for you. If you will do what I teach you in this message, things will begin to change. Do some fasting, get alone and seek God. Then, in the Spirit, tear down the walls that are limiting you. Take your authority and BELIEVE GOD for the things you once desired! Get back on track. Don’t give up and don’t take LESS than the best! Let me repeat that:

Fast, get alone, seek God;
Tear down the walls that are limiting you;
Take your authority;
Believe God for the things you once desired;
Get back on track;
Don’t give up; and,
Don’t take less than the best!

Remember, if you don’t quit, you’ll win … but if you quit, you can’t win!

There was a movie several years ago titled Stuck On You which starred Matt Damon and Cher. It was about two brothers who were Siamese twins. Finally, the brothers realized they needed to be separated (physically) in order to do what each brother wanted to fulfill in his lifetime. They reached this decision when one brother asked the other, “What is that thing you want to do MOST in the world?” And then he challenged his brother with this admonition: “You have to do it!”

Let me recommend eight (8) steps to take in order to help get you out of your “desensitized spirituality” and into the vortex of God’s anointing:

[1] As much as possible, stop all activity for a while, even ministry.

[2] Get “loose,” relax, and enjoy God.

NOTE: Many times you will be tempted to start a new ministry or outreach right away (while relaxing in your time of rest). That would be like shooting yourself in the foot while you’re walking to the hospital. If God has given you NEW ideas or directives, take skeletal notes (or even copious notes if you feel the necessity). Then store the notes for the future time of implementing the project(s). You will find that, as you’re relaxing in the sunshine of God’s love, an abundance of ideas will come to you.

[3] Take time to dream.

As we studied in the Introductory Module, Albert Einstein, perhaps the greatest mathematician and physicist of the last century, had two (2) major assets:

A childlike questioning character (like a four or five-year-old); and,
An intellectual capacity to think beyond.

In the first part of the book, The Art and Principles of Christian Warfare, I ask the question, “How long has it been since you’ve asked your Heavenly Father some childlike questions?” Questions like:

What can you do to reach every nation and tribe for Messiah Yeshua?
What is the KEY thing you can do that will impact nations the most?
What are new ways to market the Good News?
What are some secrets of the universe that nobody knows?
What do you [God] like about me [yourself] the most?

How long has it been since you:

Discarded all your ideas about how to minister?
Researched new trends and cultural evolutionary movements?
Asked a lost person how they would reach the world for Christ?
Studied the ants?
Studied seeds, climatology, and weather patterns?

[4] Know who you are. Read through the epistles; learn once again WHO you are in Christ and WHAT you have in Christ.

You have to come to the place, once again, where you KNOW the calling and destiny that has been designed for you before the foundation of the world.

True holiness, and also true Biblical prosperity, is to KNOW that you’re working “hand-in-hand” with God to shake nations for Christ.

[5] Meditate.

Find the scriptures (rhema) that speak to you concerning your calling and destiny and dwell on them. Speak them to yourself.

See yourself doing the things involved with your calling and destiny. Image them upon the screen of your mind. See the places and the activities and then THANK God for their fulfillment. Receive them by faith.

Thank God,

[6] Change your environment (and maybe your friends).

This is why God sent his servants into different areas, sometimes as a result of hard-times. It’s a lot easier if you do it for yourself, with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Imitational faith, the copying of ministry styles used by others, results in not only lack of creativity, but also “inbreeding” in the Body of Christ. Study more here >>> about Imitational Faith.

Be yourself . . . be original!Don’t be afraid to be different. Study the lifestyles of God’s servants through the centuries: in the Bible, and throughout Christian church history.

[7] Re-evaluate your goals.

Which ones have been accomplished?

Are there any goals that you feel you should scrap for now, or permanently?

Which ones are not accomplished yet? Ask yourself:

Why are they not accomplished?

Where are you in your time line, or schedule, for their fulfillment?

What action will you take to implement them in a timely fashion?

Are there any new goals or projects God wants you to undertake?

If so, do they fit into the general scheme of your other goals?

Are they completely separate from your other goals?

[8] Make your plans fit into God’s plans.

The GREATEST ADVICE I can give you concerning your plans is as follows:

Cry out to God and tell Him you want to be used greatly by Him … that you don’t want to come home to Heaven until you’ve fulfilled, with excellence, your calling and your destiny.

And remember the words of King Solomon: “He that fears God will come forth of them all.”

We are to fear God . . . NOT men, demons, or anything else. The enemy knows that if he can get you to fear anyone or anything other than God, he can cancel your fear of God and thereby void the operation of wisdom in your life . . . at least temporarily until you become aware of what’s happening.

You have to “shut off” the ideas of fear and replace them with IDEAS OF FAITH. Use visual thoughts when you have thoughts of concern. You will eliminate most of Satan’s attacks on your mind. You will also destroy Satanic activity in its tracks!

When you have thoughts of fear, replace them with VISUAL THOUGHTS. So when you have thoughts of fear . . . about your family, your possessions, your health, your ministry . . . replace them with VISUAL THOUGHTS. See the Holy Angels ministering to, blessing and guarding your family, your possessions, your health, and your ministry.

By visualizing your thoughts, you can even add emphasis (power and potency) to them by decreeing them. Use the Holy Angels in your thoughts . . . see them helping you. See the BLOOD of Christ over everything God has given you by birth, adoption, and assignment. To help you with strategies for success and goal attainment in the LORD’s work (or any work whose goal is to help build God’s Kingdom) I recommend the following book: The Art of Christian Warfare: Rules of Engagement.

Want to help us build God’s kingdom and do EXPLOITS in Israel and the nations?

The Art and Principles of Christian Warfare was written in Africa and in the Republic of Mauritius over a four month period by Prince Handley. It includes such topics as:

  • Stratagem and tricks of the enemy.
  • Guidelines for interactive ministry.
  • How to operate in foreign cultures and countries.
  • Secret powerful truths of ministry.
  • Organizing ministry trips in other countries.
  • Exiting ministry trips.
  • When and how to work alone.
  • When and how to work cooperatively.
  • How to reach whole nations by yourself.
  • Warrior mentality and diversionary tactics.

Plus many other specific guidelines in the art of Christian warfare.

There are several strategies, tricks, and diversionary tactics of the enemy to halt, hinder, impede, nullify or destroy your ministry.

You must always be cognizant of this fact. There is a devil who has planned stratagem, and who has forces (spirits) of intelligence monitoring your plans, your progress, and your private relationships.

Do NOT be afraid. We will instruct you as to how to obtain and maintain the victory … continually!

However, you need to be aware of the various stratagem of the devil. My purpose in writing this is so that you will be able to recognize his various tricks. If you know ahead of time how he works, then you will be able to resist and FIGHT as a strong warrior.

It is important in warfare to KNOW your enemy … and to know HOW the tactical aspects of his warfare. Below are listed several methods of attack used by Satan. Some of his methods are:

  • To get you to quit.
  • To get you to cancel an engagement or speaking / teaching. Ways the enemy uses to get you to do this are as follows:

A. Someone near you [associate, team member, driver … or family member of the same … “hanger-on,” mixed multitude, etc.] is doubting, scoffing, heady [education versus the anointing] or high-minded.
B. Someone you’re teamed with is not being honest with you, or being “sneaky” and using you.
C. Other speakers of different doctrine scheduled in the same meetings with you.
D. Being hurt emotionally, spiritually, or physically. (See #5 below.)

  • Diversionary tactics.

A. Having you meet an attractive member of the opposite sex (single or married).
B. Opportunity(s) to make lots of money, or “quick money.”
C. “Quick roads” to ministry success.
D. Fame: going for “your” name and NOT Jesus’ glory. (See #4 below.)

  • Pride

A. People not treating you right, or, respectfully … and you may feel that you deserve better treatment (which you may).
B. Living a lifestyle for “show” or above your means.

  • Emotional disappointment(s), “broken heart,” or very rude action(s) on the part of others.
  • Prolonged goal attainment or unaccomplished desire(s). Many times when we experience the “death of a vision” God brings resurrection; however, if a person is NOT persevering in faith, discouragement can set in.
  • Death of a loved one.
  • Lies, false accusations (or, true ones), or gossip.
  • Not being used, included, or recognized. Being “shut out” by your peers or others, either purposefully or unknowingly.
  • Another person, or people, being promoted or recognized and you know they are NOT worthy of the recognition.
  • Sickness. You must claim and receive your healing. Go in faith unless the LORD tells you to stay.
  • A combination of any of the above.

SUMMARY: Walk DAILY in faith, pray in the Spirit, stay in the Word, obey the LORD, and keep your heart in forgiveness with love.

  • The Holy Spirit will always be leading you in the OPPOSITE direction of the devil.
  • The Holy Angels are assigned from God to protect you.
  • There are many promises in God’s Word to give you victory.

Do NOT be afraid. Fear immobilizes the Body of Christ. Remember the old saying: “Fear knocked at the door, faith answered, and no one was there!” Speak this scripture to yourself often, “For I have not received a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind (or, self control).” (2 Timothy 1:7)

I have prepared a complete unabridged edition of my book, The Art of Christian Warfare – Rules of Command.

It is available in both e-Book and Paperback formats. This book is a must-read if you are serious about serving God during these End Times we are entering. (Click on the link above for order information.)

Remember … we are in a war … but our Leader has already WON it for us. Keep your head up and your faith working.

You can reach LOTS of people for Christ by doing a “Review” on Amazon about these NEW two books: New Global Strategyand The Art of Christian Warfare.

The Art of Christian Warfareis a companion book to New Global Strategy. It is much more focused on church planting and building disciples … and also includes “tips and suggestions” for the Christian worker: on and off the field.

NOTE 1: New Global Strategyis ONLY available in e-Book format because I placed LOTS of links (probably weeks of study in it) to help train the Christian missions director or worker. (Less pages – 37 – but lots of links).

NOTE 2: The Art of Christian Warfareis a manual and guide for global missions—it will get the job finished. See the contents. This book has the LARGEST amount of free pages view (for a book of this size) of any book we have ever seen on Amazon. It is 95 pages and available in BOTH eBook and Print format.

A Review for both books will be appreciated. These books will effectively prepare Christian workers for global outreach in the last days. Thanks for your help!

P.S. – We did a perusal of the available books on “Missions” online and they are generally too long, too expensive and too NOT Spirit Baptism oriented.

I want to talk to you today about “Don’t Let the Little Dogs Bother You.” I delivered newspapers at the ages of 11 and 12. I would start collecting from the customers on Thursdays so I could pay my bill on Saturday morning and then buy a hamburger and go to the movies. Usually on the deliveries I would throw the folded newspapers onto the porches from the sidewalk. This was not always possible, so sometimes (especially when I wanted to collect money) I would have to go into the yard. Lots of times these yards were fenced because of mean dogs.

God always protected me. Near the end of my morning route, about sunrise, I had to go to a home where there was a very mean red English Chow. On the corner just before I would arrive at this house, a white Boxer (dog) would meet me and finish the route with me. The boxer kept the Chow from bothering me and hurting me.

The dogs that were the most bothersome were the little dogs. They would snap at my feet and legs and many times grab hold of my trousers with their teeth. However, I learned just to shake them off. I have found through the years that it is the same way in the Christian walk: shake the “little dogs” off. The “little dogs” represent the people who lie or gossip about you. When people lie or gossip about you, just shake them off.

Situations that arise where people gossip or lie about you are usually from either of two sources: a vindictive spirit or a spirit of jealousy. It may even be a loved one who performs such actions. What you have to realize is that the “instrument” – whatever or whomever is the channel through whom the attack flows – is just that: an “instrument.”

A “gossip” – a person who gossips – is defined as “a person who likes talking about other people’s private lives in a chiefly derogatory manner.” The Holy Bible also talks about “busybodies,” which in the original Greek means “to meddle, to work all around” and sometimes refers to the “curious arts” or the “works of Satan.” The devil is actually the source of gossip, whether true or false, and merely uses – or works through – the “instrument.”

It is interesting to note that the word “devil” is from the Greek “diabolos” and means “a traducer: one who attacks the reputation of another by slander or libel,” and is synonymous with “backbiter, slanderer, defamer.”

Especially egregious is the action of a Christian, one who claims to know Christ, who talks about another person in a defaming way, working around as a busybody – a gossip – about other people’s private lives. So repugnant is this action to the Lord that the Holy Spirit equates it to being a “murderer or a thief or an evildoer.” “But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.” (Brit Chadashah: 1 Peter 4:15)

A “busybody” includes someone who brings up material from many years past that is either non-relevant to today because of the BLOOD of Christ purging it … or is either false or an exaggeration. A “jealous” person is a person who is “envious of someone else’s achievements or advantages.” People are never jealous of you unless you are either doing more than they are or have more than they have (which can include “giftings” of God).

Here is a quote that sums up the picture very nicely: “Criticism, condemnation, and complaint are creatures of the wind. They come and go on the breath of lesser beings and have no power over me.” (Author unknown.)

My friend, remember to shake off the “little dogs.”

If people are jeaous of YOU – especially God’s People – it is usually because you have a strong gifting from God and the enemy of your soul is “stirring” them up against you to either discourage YOU or to get you to quit. Remember, it is the devil who is the source of the opposition and resistance, not the instrument – the people – he is using. Pray for the people.

Below are three (3) resources to help you in your work for God. You can NOT miss with these! This is a great way to confuse your enemies and bless those around you including the nations God will reach through you. Let that IDEA God has given you come to pass then let God anoint it for great works … and then – don’t stop with one success – go for repeat success. You can do it in the name of the LORD.

In this show we discuss HOW to receive MIRACLES … real miracles … for that impossible work you have been wanting to do: the work that will impact the world. Also, two SPECIFIC messages TO and FOR you from God.

“He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of mine and declare it to you.”  [John 16:14-15]

Are you having trouble believing for GREAT THINGS – impossible things – in your life and ministry? How big can you THINK? How big can you ASK? Make sure your plans and your goals go BEYOND what you can do. When you enter the realm of impossibility, then you are in God’s realm: the realm of MIRACLES. Then, He will have to get the glory!

Don’t hesitate to BELIEVE BIG!

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above ALL that we ASK or THINK, according to the power that works in us . . .”  [Ephesians 3:20]

Go ahead and START that new work for God . . . for His glory!

    Kara ma siko tando.

Karika barundo sandai.

Tama karinda – ra kindi ruko!

Ba ku rando siko!

    You have left much, but not all.

Parts were taken, you did not leave them.

I have seen the secret place – which no man knows!

I will reward you!

I came to be wounded in combat.

I shed my BLOOD and gave My life to HEAL the SEPARATION between God and man.

I defeated the enemy.

I bought you to God with My own blood.

You now belong to God.

You have My Word and the promises in My Word.

You have the Holy Spirit: the Other One Who empowers you and guides you into all truth.

You have resurrection power which assures your success, and even in failure restores you.

You have My Name. Use My Name to vanquish the enemy and to obtain MIRACLES, resources, and joy.

You have the ministry of the Holy Angels to help you and protect you.

FINISH THE WORK I have assigned you: short term and long term.

I was in a church one time which consistently does lots of good work to help homeless and disadvantaged people. However, after the service there were three homeless men sitting in the lobby at a table but nobody was talking to them. A friend asked me if I would sit with them and talk to them. I was very glad to do so and had a wonderful conversation with them.

I wonder if lots of times we feel that just because we give money to charities or the homeless or other missions to indigent people that we are doing our duty. I wonder if we are really being a “friend to the friendless.” People like to be recognized . . . and they like to feel accepted. Jesus taught us, “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.”  [Luke 6:31]

The scripture which contains the words the LORD spoke to me is Romans 12:16: “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.”  The Greek word used here for “condescend” is the word “sunapago” and means “to take off together,? that is, “transport with.?

One time I was telling a friend, who is an executive pastor of a rapidly growing church, that I have about two inches of letters (not counting all the emails) requesting me to come hold seminars to train pastors and Christian workers and to hold miracle meetings. The other person told me: “You should get to know [name withheld] because he has lots of money.” I thought to myself, “Why in the world do would I want to know someone just because they have money?!”

Take a look at the several Bible versions I have listed below and see their translation and/or paraphrase of Romans 12:16, and what it means to “condescend to men of low estate.”

New Jerusalem Bible:

“Give the same consideration to all others alike. Pay no regard to social standing, but meet humble people on their own terms. [Do not congratulate yourself on your own wisdom.]”

New American Bible:

“Have the same regard for one another, do not be haughty but associate with the lowly; do not be wise in your own estimation.”

Revised English Bible:

“Live in agreement with one another. Do not be proud, but be ready to mix with humble people. Do not keep thinking how wise you are.”

New Revised Standard Version:

“Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly. [Do not claim to be wiser than you are.]”

The Living Bible:

“Work happily together. Don’t try to act big. Don’t try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And don’t think you know it all.”

The Good News Bible:

Have the same concern for everyone. Do not be proud, but accept humble duties [or make friends with humble people]. Do not think of yourselves as wise.”

I searched what different men of God in the past (and others) thought about this passage in Romans 12:16. I have listed them below.

“There is nothing that disrupts harmony as much as seeking glory, when every man detests a base estate, and ambitiously seeks to be exalted.”   [Geneva Bible Notes]

“Be a companion of the humble, and pass through life with as little noise and show as possible.  Let the poor, godly man be your chief companion; and learn from his humility and piety to be humble and godly.  The term “sunapagomenoi,” which we translate condescend, from “sun, together,” and “apagw, to lead,” signifies to be led, carried, or dragged away to prison with another; and points out the state in which the primitive Christians were despised and rejected of men, and often led forth to prison and death.”  [Adam Clarke’s Commentary]

“It does not properly mean to condescend, but denotes a yielding, or being guided and led in the thoughts, feelings, plans, by humble objects. Christians should seek the objects of interest and companionship not among the great, the rich, and the noble, but among the humble and the obscure. They should do it because their Master did it before them; because his friends are most commonly found among those in humble life; because Christianity prompts to benevolence, rather than to a fondness for pride and display; and because of the influence on the mind produced by an attempt to imitate the great, to seek the society of the rich, and to mingle with the scenes of gaiety, folly, and ambition.”  [Albert Barne’s Commentary]

“Sympathize and associate with the poor, humble, afflicted, especially such as suffer for righteousness’ sake.”  [Family Bible Notes]

“Desire not riches, honour, or the company of the great.”  [John Wesley]

“Instead of seeking pre-eminence, we are to walk in lowly spirit like our Savior.”   [People’s New Testament Commentary]

“Be carried away with (borne along with) the lowly things” . . . or . . . “with lowly men.”   [Robertson’s New Testament Word Pictures]

I trust today we will all reflect on how our LORD would have us to condescend to men of low estate, and pray that we might please Him in doing so . . . continuously.

Do not hesitate to BELIEVE BIG!

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above ALL that we ASK or THINK, according to the power that works in us . . .”  [Ephesians 3:20]

Go ahead and START that new work for God . . . for His glory!

Or, Twitter:

When I was a young boy during World War II the USA was fighting on both ends of the world – Europe, North Africa, and Pacific Ocean – to help free people from oppressive rule by dictators. despots, and devil inspired personalities such as Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, and Hirohito … as well as to protect our own nation from outside aggression.

We often had civil air raid practice at night where all lights were off and little mini-parachutes would fall from the sky.

On every two or three blocks you would see a house with  a small flag denoting a relative who had been wounded or killed in battle.

My cousin, Crawford, died in France at the age of 18. I remember seeing him at our house before he left. One of the countless young men who gave is life to help save or deliver other people in other countries.

My brother, Eric, died in Italy after fighting in North Africa and Sicily. He was an ordained Christian minister but was not a chaplain. He fought as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and earned the following medals:

Silver Star with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster (denoting a 2nd – or TWO Silver stars);

Bronze Star with three Oak Leaf Clusters (denoting FOUR Bronze Stars);

Purple Heart with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster (denoting TWO Purple Hearts);

Other campaign medals for action in the European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign.

My brother received his TWO Silver Stars for the following:

Saving several men from a burning amphibian; and,

Sacrificing his life to save the men under his command.

At Salerno Beach, Italy, my brother and his men were hemmed in by a sniper. They did not know exactly where the sniper was hidden. My brother willingly – and decisively – advanced to draw the sniper’s gunfire so that his men could see from where he was shooting. As a result my brother was cut in two with machine gun fire from the sniper. However, this saved his men as they could then see from where the sniper was attacking.

I have often thought that this act of gallantry was a beautiful example of what the LORD JESUS CHRIST, Messiah of Israel, did for us … He willingly gave His life on a cruel cross stake so we could live. He paid for our sins so we could receive in exchange through FAITH his righteousness – his right standing – with our Father in Heaven.

My brother, Eric, was engaged to a French girl from Paris named Marie Monique Bomparde. She wrote my family for seven years and did not get married to anyone until seven years after my brother died in battle, and her sister named her first son “Eric Neil” in remembrance of my brother.

I look now at my brother’s medals as I write this and think of ONE MORE reason I will be so blessed and happy to go to Heaven: to see my brother and live with him forever … PLUS, I get to be with the GREATEST JEW WHO HAS EVER LIVED – Yeshua (Jesus) the Son of G-d and the Promised Mashiach of Israel … who willingly and decisively gave His life for me.

I trust you will reflect on MEMORIAL DAY USA this year, whatever country you live in or nationality you belong to, and remember that you are in a spiritual war that has already been won by the BLOOD of your Leader, Jesus the Messiah.

Your friend,

Prince Handley

Rather we should thank God that such men lived.”

God has many ways to bring you success. He can even use your enemies. Listening to the Holy Spirit is VITAL to your success. In this podcast you will learn SECRETS to assure your success. You do NOT need big programs, you do NOT need lots of people, and you do NOT need lots of money. If you will give God the glory, you WILL succeed.

There are many ways God has to bring you success. Many times He or His angels are working ahead of time – or right on time – in unseen ways to deliver you, to prosper you, and to bring you into a place of super productivity.

Remember, God is FOR YOU. If you ever doubt this, look at the cross. If when we were His enemies He loved us so much that He sent His only son to die for us, how much more, now that we are His friends, does He want to make us whole in every area of our lives. (Romans 5:10)

God has every detail of your life covered. If you walk in constant communion with Him – if the Holy Spirit is your best Friend – and if you are involved in kingdom work, then you can expect His VERY BEST for you.

At times, the enemy may try to attack you through fear. Fear is a spirit. Fear is the opposite of love. God is love. Perfect love casts out ALL fear. “There is NO fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.” [1 John 4:18]

Speak to the spirit (demon) of fear; take your authority over it, bind it in Jesus’ name and cast it back to the pit of hell.

Use the Word of God against the enemy: “For God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” [2 Timothy 1:7]

There are times when the devil would try to come against you with a protracted period of fear. This may, or may not, involve people, as agents of the enemy. This is a GOOD SIGN. This tells you that what you are doing … or about to do … is scaring him. The enemy is afraid. Since he is a liar, and the father of liars, then you know he is “bluffing you”. Don’t be afraid to “call his hand” just like you would in a game of poker. The difference is that you’re going to use your Heavenly Father’s resources (you have the BEST hand!).

In a situation of protracted period of fear, do the following:

Wait on God and listen; then,

Do what God tells you.

You may not even have to do anything. The fast may take care of the situation itself. And, remember: If you walk in constant communion with Him … if the Holy Spirit is your best Friend … and if you are involved in kingdom work, then you can expect His VERY BEST for you. There are many ways God works for you and many of these are “behind the scenes” operations: “covert” if you will.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go; I will guide you with my eye.” [Psalm 32:8]

Realize that this promise is both “individual” and “corporate”. God is not only working for YOU, but also for those PEOPLE under your tutelage and leadership. He wants you to KNOW His deliverance, direction, and dynamics: for your sake, as well as the sake of those people under your watch care.

To make sure we are the recipients of His instruction, teaching, and guidance we need to be open to His leading and to be Spirit controlled. The verse immediately following the one above tells us, “Don’t be like the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding, and whose mouths must be held in with bit and bridle.” [Psalm 32:9] This is why we need to be in God’s Word every day, talking with Him, listening, and sharing our faith with others: to have understanding of His ways and NOT going our own ways.

In the Book of Judges, Chapter Six, we read that the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the and of Midian seven years. Then they cried out to the Lord and, as a result, God raised up a deliverer named Gideon. Gideon had a band of 32,000 people ready to go to war. But God told Gideon, “The people that are with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, because [your people] Israel will boast in a vain way saying, ‘Our hands won the battle [it wasn’t God]’.” [Judges 7:2]

The Lord told Gideon, “Whoever is FEARFUL and AFRAID, let him return and depart early … and 22,000 people returned; and there remained 10,000.” Next, the Lord told Gideon, “The people are still too many.” God then had Gideon separate the remaining people into two groups, depending upon how they drank water: if they bowed down upon their knees, or if they put their hand to their mouth and lapped the water with their tongues as a dog laps. God then told Gideon he would save them by the 300 men that lapped, and the other 9,700 were sent home.

You see, God wants to receive the glory for what He does through you, my friend. You do NOT need a lot of big programs, you do NOT need a lot of people, you do NOT need a lot of money. You just need the Spirit of God anointing you and directing you as you obey what He instructs you to do.

That same night the Lord told Gideon to go down to the host of the enemy because he was going to deliver them into Gideon’s hands. The Lord told Gideon, “But if you are AFRAID to go down then take your servant with you and you shall hear what the enemy says.” One of the enemy soldiers had a dream and Gideon heard him tell another soldier about the dream. The soldier said the dream was about Gideon, a man of Israel, “for into his hand God has delivered us [Midian and all the host].”

That is exactly what happened! That night the Lord gave Gideon and his band of men a GIANT victory. Only 300 with Gideon and they defeated the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east who were in the valley like grasshoppers in multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude. [Judges 7:12]

Remember: one person plus God is a MAJORITY! Be watchful for those situations where God can invade the enemy through you and where God will receive ALL the glory! The Lord can use those situations to bring deliverance, prosperity, and wholeness to multitudes of people. And God will be glorified because everyone will know you could never do these things on your own: they are MIRACLES!

“But thanks be unto God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  [1 Corinthians 15:57]

The simple things are usually the powerful things. And so it is in the plan of God which He gives you for victory. Be willing and obey is the admonition of the prophet Isaiah:

“If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”
(Isaiah 1:19-20)

The beautiful purpose of this . . . and the LOVE of God . . . is shown in the previous verse:

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be as wool.” (Verse 18)

Israel’s unbelief (except for Caleb and Joshua) that they could take the Promised Land resulted in 40 years of wilderness wandering. Have you been wandering long?

Do you have great Spirit given goals that have been in you heart and prayers for years but have not come to fruition yet?
Is it because you have failed to GO into the Promised Land . . . to make that transition in FAITH? Have you been waiting for everything to fall into place before you leave your comfort zone?

Like the monkey holding on to the banana in the jar, who couldn’t get his hand out to enjoy the banana, are you “holding on” to your ministry . . . your business . . . your toys . . . not releasing them . . . so that you can make a NEW transition into greater service and works for the glory of God, and for your blessing as well?

When the children of Israel were about to attack Jericho, Joshua, with the direction of the LORD, commanded the people, “You shall NOT shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of our mouth, until the day I say unto you, ‘Shout!’ Then you shall shout.” (Joshua 6:10) They were commanded to keep silence for seven days.

The spoils of Jericho were like the first fruits of harvest. It was the first city they conquered in the Promised Land: their first stage of the victory promised. And God commanded them NOT to keep the spoils of the city for themselves.

“And you, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest you make yourselves accursed, when you take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: the shall come into the treasury of the LORD.”
(Joshua 6:18-19)

The Hebrew root for the word “accursed” is “cherem” and it ALSO means the “devoted thing” or a “dedicated thing” depending upon the context. In other words, what is devoted or dedicated to God is accursed to man. If you keep back or steal God’s property, then YOU become accursed. (Hebrew “charam”).

God’s people were promised success, but only if they walked in obedience!

A man named Achan did not obey and he took of the accursed things which were devoted to God, so the anger of the LORD burned against the children of Israel. By the way, the Hebrew word ‛Akan is from an unused root meaning “to trouble,” or “troublesome.” The LORD told Joshua that the man had stolen and deceived and put it among his own stuff. The LORD said, “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.” (Joshua 7:13)

Then the man, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had (including what he stolen that belonged to God) were burned with fire after the people of Israel stoned them with stones according to the command of the LORD.

This reminds us of Ananias and Sapphira who sold an estate, and kept back part of the proceeds, pretending to give ALL of it to the treasury of the church. They lied to the Holy Spirit and both of them died within three hours of each other. (Acts 5:1-11)

These two examples above also remind us of God’s promise in the book of Malachi.

“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In titles and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.” (Malachi 3:8-9) Notice again, the beautiful purpose of this . . . and the LOVE of God . . . is shown in the following verses 10-11:

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be food in My house, and PROVE ME now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”

“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field …” says the LORD of hosts.

NOTICE: God says you can PROVE Him . . . you can find out FOR SURE . . . God is Who He says He is: the great “I AM” . . . by paying Him tithes and giving Him offerings!

The whole rest of your life you will be blessed as you follow what I have taught you from God’s Holy Word today.

Baruch haba b’Shem Adonai.

Your friend,
Prince Handley

The other day I was reading some ministry results of a wonderful brother in Messiah. My first thought was, “God is using him so mightily . . . he is reaching so many people for Messiah!” And . . . he has NO synagogue or church support.

Like most of us in God’s work, he was one of the most unlikely prospects for God to use. Like you, and like me, people never guessed he would one day become a believer in Yeshua! When I reflected upon how God is using him, I thought, “What a great reward he will have in Heaven!”

I thought, “God, he is doing so much for You.” After a while the Lord prompted me, and The Holy Spirit reminded me that I was blessed to have part in his Christian growth; and to help disciple him to become a powerful follower of Yeshua. He took our Free Bible Studies course and we corresponded and communicated at times.

That is exactly what I shared in The Apostles Newsletter a few weeks ago: the disciples you teach should be used more greatly than you are. They should be disciples of MESSIAH and NOT disciples of men … IF you are doing your job right.

At the University of Excellence, of which I am President and Regent, we study five (5) secrets of military strategy for the accomplishment … and the continuance … of successful mission:

• Vision to reach the world for Messiah.

• Logistics and starting new synagogues and churches.

• Anointing of multiplication.

• Mission parameters.

• Resurrection and a new vision

I want to teach you something that will help you win the world for Christ!

If you could win 1,000 people to Messiah every day
, how long do you think it would take to evangelize the whole world? At this time, the population of the world is about six (6) billion people. It would take you 16,427 years to reach every person (even at 1,000 every day!).

However, if you would lead only one person each year to Christ, and would really train them, here’s what would happen:

At the end of one year there would be two of you to take the “Good News” to others. If each of you would lead one person to Christ that next year, there would be four of you at the end of the second year to go tell the “Good News”. At this rate, it would only take you a little over 32 years to reach the rest of the world! (Even if the population increases to 8.5 billion, it would take only one extra year, or 33 years.)

This is why Jesus said, “Go, then to all peoples of the world and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”

Now, here’s how to train a disciple: Ask God to lead you to someone who really wants to grow in the Lord (it may be someone you lead to Christ or someone who already knows Jesus.) Take them “under your wing” (like a bird does her babies) and pour your life, as well as the Word of God, into them.

You will have to “live” the life you are teaching about. Take them preaching on the streets or witnessing at the market with you. Teach them how to lead others to Christ, and to baptize them in water. Their training may last from one week, or until Jesus comes back!

Sometimes you may want to train more than one person at a time. However, never get so busy that you do not have time to spend with each person privately. When a person you are training starts training others for Christ (it may be the first week), then spend some time for “feedback”. That is, let that person discuss with you about the people they are training: get “feedback” about progress or problems, and try to answer their questions. Pray with them!

Be sure to tell the people you are teaching that Jesus said, “The field is the world!” Not just their village or city: but every nation, tribe, tongue, and dialect. Pray that God will send out workers to the nations … and be willing to go yourself. Teach them to do the same.

Obtain a map of the world (and of your country). Lay your hands on the different countries and cities and pray for them. Ask God:

To pour out the Holy Spirit on them;

To send out Christian workers to them; and,

To raise up “Spirit-filled” churches in them and all over the world.

While praying for cities and nations, always “bind” the devil and his demons and cast them out in Jesus’ name. Then, “loose” the Holy Spirit into the cities and nations! Jesus said, “Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.” This includes his teaching about love, repentance, healing, forgiveness, casting out demons, prayer, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and our “one-ness” with other believers in Jesus.

Some of the people you train may be from other countries (students or visitors). Or, some of those you train may someday go to other countries to study, tour, or work. They will then be able to preach the Gospel there. This is another way you will be reaching nations!

Finally, teach the ones you are training to teach the people they teach “to teach others.” (Notice the four groups, or “families,” of disciples in 2 Timothy 2:2.) The first family is YOU: you are a disciple, or a “follower,” of Christ. The next family is the person you are teaching to be a “follower” of Christ. Notice something very important: the four families are NOT your disciples, they are Christ’s!

Read this message again, and again, and again. There are “seven keys” to help YOU win the world for Christ!

The provision and supply necessary for ongoing ministry growth will come about as new synagogues and churches are raised up. After the process of true biblical discipleship – making disciples of Messiah and NOT of men – is established, along with a vision of reaching the world for Messiah, the next step is to establish synagogues or churches. The people, the money, the resources for current and subsequent ministry to the community and the world will emanate from the local synagogues or churches established. Tithes and offerings will help in material and financial support. Each leader must be honest and ethical in their allocation of resources, and thereby be an example for those to whom they serve.

There are basically three (3) ways to start synagogues and churches:

1. Start cell groups, OR house churches;

2. Visit neighborhoods;

3. Hold public miracle and healing meetings.

Start cell groups, or home Bible studies, from an existing church. They will then be centers in each neighborhood or community for people to come for Bible study and prayer, and from which new churches can be raised up.

Visit the surrounding neighborhood
. This is the probably the most effective and can also be used in conjunction with a cell group. Get people interested in the vision God has given you. Meet together for prayer, fellowship, and Bible study.

Win souls in the neighborhood or local community where you will have your synagogue or church – START there first! Visit and pray for the sick. Baptize converts and then TRAIN them:

• To win others.

• To study the Scriptures.

• To fast and pray.

• To tithe and give offerings.

• To follow the principles described above in “Vision To reach the World for Christ.”

Impart a vision of the world. Teach them to enjoy Messiah Jesus and their work with Him!!!

Pray daily for God to:

• Open the hearts of people;

• Pour out His Spirit upon the area where you are (or will be)working for Him; and,

• Lead you to people who are seeking for God and His salvation.

Look for needs to meet:

• In people;

• In the community; and,

• In the government.

Go door-to-door within a reasonable distance of the synagogue or church you’re starting and ask people if there is anything for which they would like you to pray. Tell them you’re meeting in about an hour at a certain location (give them the address). Go back in a week and follow up on them. Note: they may also have sick people in the house that they want you to pray for.

Tell people: “If you can find 10 other families who want to start a church, then organize a meeting in your home (or one of their homes) and invite these other 10 families. I will then come and tell them about the church we’re starting. At the same time, we will minister to the people’s needs, if they desire. Expect miracles!”

Never go to be a new head rabbi at a synagogue or pastor a church that someone else started unless the people at large give you complete control before you start. You will just be taking over someone else’s problems! Also, when miracles start the previous leaders will become jealous. Start NEW WORKS where the anointing is honored and God can get the glory!!

Here’s a testimony from a Pastor and General Overseer who followed the instruction described above for starting new churches. “The lessons and the questions are the best I have had in my life, especially since I started preaching the Gospel under the power of the Holy Spirit. Please help me to learn more and be a better worker for the Lord. With the lesson well studied, God has started blessing the work here. Prayer cells have sprung up in all places. God is adding souls to His kingdom.” [Bishop Harrison]

Do diligence to follow the steps in this lesson like Bishop Harrison and God will do MIRACLES for you!

There is probably no more effective way to start a new synagogue or church, especially in unevangelized areas, than by means of public meetings: both indoors and outdoors. Here is a proven and successful format for holding such meetings:

1. Start each meeting with 30 minutes of singing and “selected” testimony.

2. Preach 20 to 40 minutes.

3. Begin message by announcing: “We are going to pray in a few minutes and God is going to heal the sick.”

4. During the message, tell the people WHO Jesus is and WHAT He did. Tell them:

“I wouldn’t ask you to believe in a dead god! Jesus Christ is ALIVE!”

“Since Jesus is alive, He will do what He did when He lived on earth before!”

“If He does – and heals you – will you serve Him the rest of your life?”

(Before you pray) “If Jesus heals you, how many will come up and tell of it?”

5. After the message, pray for the sick to be healed. Do NOT go out into the crowd and do NOT pray for individuals at this time, but pray for the crowd “as a whole” from the place where you have been preaching. (Let God do His work!)

6. (During prayer) Tell the people, “Now, begin to praise God for healing you.”

7. (After prayer) Tell the people, “Now do what you couldn’t do before.”

8. Ask for those who have been healed to come and testify. Make sure you have workers who are trained to examine testimonies.

Eliminate those testimonies which aren’t for real or don’t glorify Christ. Train the workers to bring to the front at once ONLY miracles of healing. Also, make sure you have workers who are trained in crowd control.

Don’t let the devil bring confusion to your meeting at this point.

A) The first day of the meeting let God heal a few. Then go out to the neighborhood or villages and tell them what God has been doing; invite them into the meetings.

B) The second day of the meetings, and thereafter, pray for specific cases, such as the deaf and blind, as God leads. You may want certain cases to come to the platform for prayer (where you are ministering). This way the crowd can see the miracles. Do ONLY what the Spirit says and finish when He tells you to!

C) Always meet with your workers before the meeting. Review the previous days meeting and pray for the current one. Ask God for the anointing of the Holy Spirit and pray for unity.

D) Establish a synagogue or church from the new believers (baptize them). Make plans to teach them regularly and to train them.

Read and study “Health and Healing” (Parts 1 through 5) in the Archives of The Apostles Newsletter (September 15 through September 29, 2002). Also, read and memorize “How To Be Healed” in the Archives (June 28, 2002).

For a sample healing message to preach, go to: http://www.realmiracles.com/healmessage.htm

Lay hands on and pray over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE you send out or produce: ministers and workers; DVD’s, literature; podcasts, social media postings (MySpace, Twittter, etc.), YouTube videos, films; mp3 files; websites, prayer cloths. Ask God to put His power on them. Ask God for the “apostolic power of Christ” to invade the earth through them. Pray for MIRACLES to magnify Christ.

Pray for people to be saved, healed, delivered, baptized in the Spirit, prospered, and sent out to do the work of Messiah Yeshua. Ask God to raise up a great Holy Spirit synagogue or church in every village and neighborhood of the earth … and a great Holy Spirit witness in every house, home, or family of the earth through the WORK and the PEOPLE you send out! Believe!!

Thirty (30) years ago I asked God for a confirmation about a piece of literature I had written and was to be sending out. It was Lesson Four, “How To Receive the Power of God” in the Free Bible Studies course. I wanted God to show me if I should include this lesson in the series and I received three (3) confirmations within about one week.

The very first person who received that lesson was baptized in the Holy Spirit the day they received it in the mail. Then a Jew wrote from New York and said, “You wouldn’t believe what came out of my mouth when Jesus baptized me in the Holy Spirit” (as a result of the lesson). Thirdly, another man wrote saying that as soon as he took his lesson out of the envelope he read one sentence and was knocked down by a strange force and another language came out of his mouth.

“Believe! All things are possible to him that believes.”
[Mark 9:23]

If you are not available to lay hands on the materials – or the people – then commission others to do it. Lay your hands on them and pray over them so the apostolic power of Christ will flow through them. At times, when I have not been able to be present for an ordination service in a distant place, God would instruct me to send a prayer cloth over which I had prayed, and to have the prayer cloth laid on the minister.

If the Holy Spirit can supply the resurrection power of Christ to heal in this manner (Acts 19:11-12), then He surely can impart the gifts of the Spirit and enablement for ministry in the same manner. These should be “special” cases, however, because the normal Scriptural pattern would be to personally lay hands on those being ordained and sent out.

Ask God for ‘an anointing of multiplication’!
The kingdom of Heaven is like leaven (or, yeast): it grows and spreads. Yeshua (Jesus) still multiplies bread, and He can multiply the work, the workers, and the Word of God!

Be led by the Spirit of God! Follow the plain teachings of Jesus. Preach and teach the simple Gospel, apart from which there is no other gospel [1 Corinthians 15:1-5]. Obey the commission of Jesus in Matthew 28 and Mark 16. Adhere to the “Apostles’ Creed”. Use the pastoral writings of Paul and Peter and John as examples for church order and discipline and obey the Word of God as revealed in the Holy Bible.

A three-fold cord is not easily broken. Buildings designed in triangulation or with three-sided segments are stronger. Jesus sent out his apostles to:

1. Preach and teach;

2. Heal; and

3. Cast out demons.

Whether you are involved in ministry to governments, to the homeless, to the military … on television or the Internet … keep your ministry “triangulated” in balance with Jesus’ authority that he gave you: to preach; to heal; and, to cast out demons!

Then you won’t have to worry about false doctrines . . . because no one can copy the works God is doing through you. The Lord will confirm the Word of God you preach with signs following . . .and people who are really seeking God will come to the TRUTH! The cults have all have at least one of the three errors (if not all three!).

The cults and false religions teach:

1. Jesus was NOT God in human flesh;

2. You can work your way to Heaven;

3. Hell is not real (or, if it is, it only lasts for a short period).

No false teaching in the world can do all three … present the Good News, heal the sick, and cast out demons!
Especially like you are doing when you’re anointed with LOVE! False teaching is usually “lop-sided” with emphasis on either of two large errors: either you’re saved by your works only; or you can sin all you want to and get away with it!

“Faith without works is dead.”
[James 2:14-26]

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.”
[Galatians 5:6]

If you are used in creative, powerful, and productive works by God then I have a warning for you. Just about the time you put the “stamp” on your ministry and declare “Mission Accomplished” there will come a time of discouragement. It is nothing more than a demonic attack assigned by Satan to discourage you, to get you to slow down, to get you to lose excitement, to get you to think you can’t do any more great works, and to get you to quit!

Immediately after the victory for which you have fought, prayed, and believed in faith, will subtly appear one of your most dangerous attacks from the enemy. It will NOT be like the attack(s) BEFORE your conquest: to discourage you, to make you afraid, to cause loss of integrity, loss of a loved one, or loss of possessions. All of which attacks you can defeat . . . and withstand . . . by living holy and living a life of faith and trust in God.

But this attack will be so delicate or precise as to be difficult to analyze or describe. You will not be capable, without discernment from God, of making fine distinctions as to the source of the attack. It will be covert and delicately complex. There will be put in place clever and indirect means by the enemy to achieve your downfall: spiritually, socially, materially, physically, and mentally . . . in that order.

Read and prayerfully study The Apostles Newsletters titled “What to Do After the Victory” (Parts A and Part B) published September 14 and 21, 2003. Login to The Apostles Group and you will find them in the Archives.

This two-part newsletter was written to instruct you as to how to offset this kind of attack, and to guard against it; also, to augment and solidify your recent victory, and to go on to higher and more productive accomplishments.

King Solomon tells us in the Book of Ecclesiastes that a threefold cord is not easily broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12) There are three things you can do to assure your maintenance of the victory and your own personal integrity. They are as follows:

1. Guard Against Pride

2. Monitor the Victory

3.  Plan for the Future

After your victory is the time the enemy will do his best to allure you with:

• Fame;

• Fortune;

• Lust; and,

• Deception of any kind

Don’t let your guard down! You are at your weakest point of defense right after your victory:

• Rest;

• Stay under the anointing;

• Plan, stretch out in faith; and,

• Start implementing your plans for the NEXT victory. It may be related to the harvest of your present (recent) victory.

Rest for a short period. Use this time to reflect and give thanks to God, and those people who assisted you, for the victory. Pray God’s blessing on those who assisted you!

Stay in the Word of God and prayer. Stay under the anointing. Use this period of rest to listen to God for the “skeletal” outline of your NEXT project. Receive your plans from the Spirit. Praise and thank Him in faith for the next victory!

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you implement your next assignment. Don’t wait until all the conditions are right before you start. Count the cost, but use faith. You can refine after you implement.

God is getting ready to use you MORE GREATLY than ever before! He has given you the “eye of the tiger” . . . you will never be taken captive by the enemy. You will be stronger and more productive for the kingdom of God. The Master will say to you: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of the Lord.”

I guarantee you success and continued vision! You will not be barren or unfruitful, if you practice what I am teaching you in this series. Also, you will have an abundant entrance into Heaven. Remember, there are rewards in Heaven for your labor of love and faithfulness here on earth.

Jesus wants to be able to say to you when you enter Heaven: “Well done, you good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord.” [ Matthew 25:21]

You need continued vision for vitality. The Bible says, “Without a vision, the people perish.” [Proverb 29:18] To be successful in this life and to prepare for life in Heaven . . . and to maintain continued vision so we will be fresh and vibrant . . . there are eight (8) TWIN STRATEGIES to help you.

In the last newsletter we discussed the FIRST TWO TWINS for success and continued vision:

Enthusiastic Desire
PLUS Faith; and,

Decisive Nature PLUS Virtue.

To review these first two twins, see Part A.

We will discuss the next two (2) twins in this newsletter. They are as follows:

Specialized Knowledge PLUS Spiritual Knowledge; and,

Quest for Excellence
PLUS Temperance.

The remaining twins for success and continued vision will be discussed in subsequent ezine teachings.

If you are going to be used greatly by God, then you will have to make up your mind ahead of time that you are willing to do things . . . and exploits . . . that are out of the ordinary. Yeshua (Jesus) did not fit into the normal mold of man, even though He was God in human flesh. He was a perfect man . . . but he was focused on doing the will of God . . . not the will of man.

Likewise, if you make the decision to do the will of God during your time here on earth, then neither will you will fit into the normal mold of man: you will seem eccentric to the world. The definition of eccentric is as follows: 1. Unconventional and slightly strange; 2. Not placed centrally or having its axis placed centrally. But you see, this definition is from the perspective of what is “normal” and God did NOT call us to be normal by the world’s standards. Rather, the normal Christian life is abnormal to the world.

The origin of the word “eccentric” is from the Greek “ekkentros“: “ek” meaning “out of” plus “kentron” meaning “center,” therefore the meaning of: “out of center.” John Steward Mill gives an insightful comment of truth concerning this:

“Eccentricity has always abounded when and where strength of character has abounded; and the amount of eccentricity in society has always been proportioned to the amount of genius, mental vigor and moral courage which it contained. That so few men now dare to be eccentric marks the chief danger of our time.”

Specialized knowledge is highly dependent upon genius AND mental vigor. The second of these two, mental vigor, can complement what may be lacking in the first of the two: genius.

What is that GREAT THING you want to do for God? Do you have the SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE to attain that goal? Are you willing to sacrifice, study, and research to obtain the knowledge required to complete the task? Don’t be a lazy follower of the Lord. God did not call us to complacency, but rather to excellence. I have been on this planet for several scores of years, and I still spend much time studying and researching to find NEW, BETTER, and MORE PRODUCTIVE ways to reach the world for Messiah and to help my fellow man. Don’t be afraid . . . and never get too old . . . to go back to school for more formal education.

One of the best schools for people to learn MEDIA PRODUCTION, and one which I fully endorse, is Full Sail Real World Education based in Orlando, Florida, USA. They may be contacted by phone at 800.226.7625 or 407.679.6333. FAX to 407.678.0070. You may contact them on the web at WWW.FULLSAIL.COM. Some of their major fields of study are:

Digital Media;
Recording Arts;
Computer Animation;
Entertainment Business;
Show Production and Touring;
Game Design and Development.

We are living in a day like the Prophet Daniel described where “knowledge shall be increased” and we should take advantage of it to advance the kingdom of God. Daniel, in a passage of scripture dealing with the end times, tells us ” . . . but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” [Daniel 11:32] “Exploit,” in the sense used here, means literally “to do successively unfolding bold, courageous works!”

There are many other ways to influence society and to reach the world for Messiah other than through the internet and social media. And there are many NEW ways to help yourself gain SUCCESS! Pray and ask God to reveal these to you. Then, obey Him and be diligent to study in order to prepare yourself to be used by the Master: to be a good steward.

No amount of SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, however, will be of significant time value without SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE. No matter how successful we become in life, it will not be of any time value unless we know God personally. If we know God through His Son, Jesus the Messiah, then we have eternal life. [John 3:16] The measure of a man’s success in life is how many of his children make it to Heaven. If we know the Lord, we are living part of our eternal life NOW, while here on earth, and then in Heaven. It will never end!

Yeshua taught us, “What does it profit a man if he gains all the world, and loses his own soul? Also, what shall a man give in exchange, or to buy back, his soul?” [Mark 16:26 – Mark 8:36]

We need to have TOTAL success in life: in this life on earth and in the eternal beyond; and God has provided just such means to attain that goal. God has given us EVERYTHING WE NEED for: LIFE, and GODLINESS.

“According as His divine power has given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue.” [2 Peter 1:3]

He has given us PROMISES so that we can share or partner with Him in His divine expansion – or growth of descendants – after we have escaped, by His saving grace, the ruin that is in the world through lust. In other words, after we are born again and start serving Messiah, we can partner and be a companion with God in successfully bearing fruit: that is, growing other seed-descendants. These include our own children who are born again while also reaching out to the rest of the world. “Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” [2 Peter 1:4]

We should BELIEVE this and EXPECT it. Our children should be our greatest disciples. If not, something is wrong, or out of place.

Learn the PROMISES in Gods Word; believe them and appropriate them by faith. Take quality time daily to study and meditate in God’s Word. I usually separate my “study time” from my “devotional time.” In the morning, before I start my active day, I have my devotional time where I just want God to speak to me and minister to me through His Word, even before I have my prayer time. I made a rule years ago: “No Bible, no breakfast.” Eat the Word of God first. Jesus said, “It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” [Matthew 4:4]

When you study the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, and to teach you so you can teach others. The scripture instructs us, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” [2 Timothy 2:15]

Combining SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE with SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE will provide you a powerful impetus for ongoing success and continued vision. To be really successful we need to share our success with others: our family, our brothers and sisters in Messiah, our community, and the world.

THE MORE YOU KNOW . . . THE MORE THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN USE! This applies not only to mental knowledge but also knowledge gained through the acquisition of physical skills or craftsmanship. Bezaleel was such a man:

“And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.”
[Torah: Exodus 31:1-5]

When SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE is combined with SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE, there is a holy anointing upon our lives: our talents, skills, and abilities. Together, they not only complement each other, but they synergize each other.

But always remember: “Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” [1 Corinthians 8:1] Temper your knowledge (both specialized and spiritual) with LOVE!

Daniel was a leader, counselor, and basically Prime Minister
in three different foreign kingdoms (in which he was captive) partly because of his knowledge base. The Bible tells us concerning Daniel and the three Hebrew teenagers who accompanied him into captivity:

“Children in whom was no blemish, but well favored, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability . . .”
[Daniel 1:4]

The Bible tells us another of the secrets of Daniel’s success:

“It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; and over these three presidents: of whom Daniel was first, so that the princes might give accounts unto the presidents, and the king should have no damage.”

“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an EXCELLENT spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.” [Daniel 6:1-3]

The word here used for “excellent” is “yateer” and in its root form means “preeminent, or very exceedingly excellent.” That’s because the spirit that was in Daniel was the Ruach ha Chodesh (the Holy Spirit). Because of Daniel’s separation and devotion to God, he manifested a quality of excellence in whatever he attempted.

The Greek word for “virtue” in the New Testament is “arete“: it means “excellence and valor.” We need to be people of EXCELLENCE. Our nature should be to make excellent decisions based upon virtue.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”
[Colossians 3:23-24]

Don’t compare yourself with someone else; just do what you know God wants you to do. Do your best, don’t be satisfied with low quality work or effort. It’s interesting that the origin of the word “mediocre” is from the Latin “mediocris” which means of “middle height or degree” but literally means “somewhat rugged or mountainous.” It is derived from the words “medius” for “middle” and “ocris” for “rugged mountain.”

To do mediocre work is actually harder on you because you are causing your conscience to condemn you. It is like climbing a rugged mountain. The Bible says, “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.” [1 John 3:20] The EXCELLENT choice may be more of a sacrifice temporarily, but it will be easier on you in the long term. You will never go wrong striving for excellence!

Practice excellence in your CHARACTER. Be transparent and keep your word. Psalm 15 is a good start for practical living and developing excellence in character. Also, loving our neighbor as we do ourself, and doing unto him as we would have him do to us, is the guideline our Master set before us.

Practice excellence in your WORK. Be a good steward for you earthly employer and your Heavenly employer. Colossians 3:22 (Brit Chadashah) instructs us NOT to do sight-labor, that is: work that needs watching.

In your quest for excellence, develop your skills to the BEST of your ability. Be a good manager of what God has given you and over which God has placed you. Keep improving and growing in your knowledge base, your acumen, and your skills. Study Part A of this ezine teaching to help develop excellence in acumen; study the section on “Decisive Nature and Virtue.”

Along with the quest for excellence you need to partner with temperance, or self control
. Many people, on their quest for excellence, do NOT allow for rest or leisure. This is vital to SUCCESS and CONTINUED VISION.

Rest, and also quietness, is necessary for wholeness
. A key scripture and principle that I have tried to practice in my life for many years is found in Isaiah 30:15:

“For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest shall you be saved; and in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.”

The word “leisure” comes from the Latin word “licere” which means “to be permitted.” The Latin word for “work” is “negotium” which means “nonleisure.” Most so-called advanced societies today have turned this around and view leisure as nonwork!

Tim Hansel, in his book When I Relax I Feel Guilty, points out that the Greeks stressed the centrality of lesiure, but they added another important facet. The Greek word for “work” was “ascholia,” which means “absence of leisure.” The word for leisure was “schole,” which leads to the English words for school and scholarship. Leisure, then, was a time for growth and development.

Leisure is more than just non-work. It is when we PERMIT ourselves time for rest, growth, and development. Leisure is BOTH the embryo and the catalyst for creativity, and for NEW experiences, people, play, and places.

We have to permit ourselves the time to rest . . . to re-create . . . and to create!
