HOW TO LIVE A LONG LIFE & SUCCEED

Do the RIGHT thing!
“Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that you may LIVE, and go in and POSSESS the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you.” [Deuteronomy 4:1]
The Hebrew word for “live” in the above passage is “chayah” meaning “to keep alive, nourish, recover, repair, restore, and be whole.”
The Hebrew word for “possess” used above is “yarash” which means “to occupy by driving out previous tenants and possessing in their place, to seize, to inherit, to take possession.”
In the parable of the nobleman [Luke 19:13] Jesus alluded to the fact that we need to “occupy, or do business” until He returns again. We need to be good stewards of our resources:
1. What He has put into our hands (all that He has given us by birth, adoption, or assignment);
2. And, of our life and strength.
The Greek word for “occupy” is “pragmateuomai” which means “to busy oneself, to trade.” In other words, strive to be productive and successful while you are carrying out the Lord’s business. Don’t become inactive. Live a long life and succeed . . . take possession of the enemy’s territory and rule it! (See “Note” at the end of these shownotes.)

This is one aspect of the ABUNDANT LIFE which the Messiah of Israel promised us: not only LIFE but FLOURISHING LIFE.
Moses instructed the people of Israel, “Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which you shall command your children to observe and do, all the words of this law. For it is not a VAIN thing for you; because it [the Word of God] is your LIFE; and through this thing you shall PROLONG your days in the land, where you go over Jordan to POSSESS it.” [Deuteronomy 32:46-47]
The Hebrew word for “vain” above is “req” which means “futile.” It is saying in the original Hebrew that the Word of God is “not empty or worthless” but it will . . . if you observe and do it . . . give you LONG LIFE and SUCCESS in driving out the enemy and POSSESSING his territory. Here’s what you can count on:
1. Length of days;
2. Wholeness and nourishment;
3. Success;
4. Possession of the inheritance.
Length of days, wholeness and nourishment, success, and possession of the inheritance are yours!
In one of King David’s Psalms he writes, “By this I know that You are well pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.” [Psalm 41:11]

Scripture also tells us, “When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” [Proverbs 16:7]
As God gives you success, and as you drive out the enemy and possess his land, people will many times be jealous of you. Sometimes these may be brethren in the faith who are jealous of you. The enemy of your soul will try many ways to oppress you and to destroy your HEALTH. If your health (mental, physical, or spiritual) is weakened you will not be able to fight strongly and you will not live a long life to keep administering the areas God has given you to possess.
You must have BOTH success and a long life of wholeness in order to administer effectively the areas He gives you to possess. Unless God has chosen you to be a martyr, you must have health, length of days, and a long life to maximize the occupation of your victory!
This is why you must not only LISTEN and OBSERVE the Word of the Lord, but you must DO His Word. Then you will LIVE and POSSESS the land . . . and you will PROLONG YOUR DAYS in the land you go to POSSESS. [Deuteronomy 4:1 and 32:46-47]
Proverb 28:9 tells us, “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is abomination.”

The great passage that sparked the Reformation in the time of Martin Luther was Habakkuk 2:4: “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him; but the just shall LIVE by his FAITH.” It is literally saying that the person whose soul is “swelled” or “presumptuous” is not “straight or right” . . . not “pleasant or prosperous.” The root word for “LIVE” in this passage is the same Hebrew word “chayah” used in Deuteronomy 4:1 that we discussed above, and means “to keep alive, nourish, recover, repair, restore, and be whole.”
In other words, the person who does WHAT IS RIGHT will be continue to be nourished, restored, and whole by means of the FIRMNESS and CONSISTENCY of his faith: his fidelity and conscientiousness! Because of his solid belief he does the right thing!
“A FAITHFUL man will abound with blessings, but he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.” [Proverbs 28:20] The word for “faithful” here used is from the same root as the word for “faith” in Habakkuk 2:4. A man of firmness and stability through faith will have abundant blessings.
Moses said, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing . . . choose LIFE so that you and your children may LIVE so that you may LOVE the LORD your God, that you may OBEY His voice, and that you may CLING to Him, for He is your LIFE and the LENGTH of your DAYS, and that you may dwell in the land . . .” [Deuteronomy 19-20]
Do the RIGHT thing!

EIGHT TWIN STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS & CONTINUED VISION (PART D – FINAL)
In previous teachings in this series we discussed the FIRST FIVE TWINS for success and continued vision:
- Enthusiastic Desire PLUS Faith;
- Decisive Nature PLUS Virtue;
- Specialized Knowledge PLUS Spiritual Knowledge;
- Quest for Excellence PLUS Temperance; and,
- Organic Spiritual Endeavor PLUS Patience.
In this final teaching of the series we will cover the LAST THREE TWINS:
- Principles of Value PLUS Godliness;
- Like-minded Associates PLUS Brotherly Kindness; and
- Vehicle for Attainment PLUS Love.
When you combine your good desires with faith . . . ENTHUSIASTIC DESIRE PLUS FAITH . . . you have an unbeatable combination. You can begin to PLAN your future prayerfully based upon the God given desires of your heart. That’s one reason it is important to read and meditate upon the Word of God daily so you will KNOW and develop the will of God for your life.
Remember . . . you can CREATE with your faith. Hebrews 11:1 tell us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is the underpinning or support . . . a title deed (as in property) . . . that lets you KNOW you have the objects or affairs you do not yet see.
It is a wonderful thing to have FAITH, but if you have a PLAN incorporating your desires to go along with your faith, it is even better! Here’s a SECRET that will allow you to SEE many MIRACLES:
If your PLAN fits into God’s plan
. . . . . . . you will have God’s FAITH
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . and God’s faith ALWAYS WORKS!
You need to be able to make decisions based upon knowledge and quality input. Once again, this is where it is important to read and meditate upon the Word of God daily. You need DIRECTION in the many matters of life that face you now . . . and also about future planning. God has given you everything you need for LIFE and GODLINESS through His PROMISES and the KNOWLEDGE of Christ.
In ministry and in business you need to draw upon quality research, marketing, and experience (sometimes the input of others). And you need to KNOW when to act. Timing is KEY to success in many courses of action. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, says that when he knows that something is right, and that the timing is right, he goes into it with MASSIVE ACTION. However, without VIRTUE a decision can have disastrous effects eternally and with no substance temporally here on earth.
The Greek word for VIRTUE in the New testament is arete: it means excellence and valor. We need to be people of EXCELLENCE. Our nature should be to make excellent DECISIONS based upon VIRTUE. If we are following Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit, we will be able to accomplish this continuously.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” [Colossians 3:23-24]
Make your decisions based upon the fact that God is watching you!
We are living in a day like the prophet Daniel described where “knowledge shall be increased” and we should take advantage of that knowledge to advance the kingdom of God. Daniel, in a passage of scripture dealing with the end times, tells us ” . . . but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” [Daniel 11:32] Exploit, in the sense used here, means literally “to do successively unfolding bold, courageous works!”
There are many ways to influence society and to reach the world for Messiah. And there are many NEW ways to help yourself gain SUCCESS! Pray and ask God to reveal these to you. Then, obey Him and be diligent to study in order to prepare yourself to be used by the Master: to be a good steward.
No amount of SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, however, will be of significant time value without SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE. No matter how successful we become in life, it will not be of any time value unless we know God personally. If we know God through His Son, Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah, then we have eternal life. [Brit Chadashah: John 3:16]
When you study the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, and to teach you so you can teach others. The scripture instructs us, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” [2 Timothy 2:15]
Combining SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE with SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE will provide you a powerful impetus for ongoing success and continued vision. To be really successful we need to share our success with others: our family, our brothers and sisters in Messiah, our community, and the world.
THE MORE YOU KNOW . . . THE MORE THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN USE! This applies not only to mental knowledge but also to knowledge gained through the acquisition of physical skills or craftsmanship.
Practice excellence in your CHARACTER. Be transparent and keep your word. Psalm 15 is a good start for practical living and developing excellence in character. Also, loving our neighbor as we do our self, and doing unto our neighbor as we would have him do to us, is the guideline our Gadol Cohen (Great Rabbi) set before us.
Practice excellence in your WORK. Be a good steward for your earthly employer and your Heavenly employer. Colossians 3:22 instructs us NOT to do sight-labor: that is, work that needs watching.
In your quest for excellence, develop your skills to the BEST of your ability. Be a good manager of what God has given you and over which God has placed you. Keep improving and growing in your knowledge base, your acumen, and your skills. Study Part ‘A’ of this teaching to help develop excellence in acumen; particularly study the section on “Decisive Nature and Virtue.”
Along with the quest for excellence you need to partner with temperance, or self control. Many people, on their quest for excellence, do NOT allow for rest or leisure. This is vital to SUCCESS and CONTINUED VISION.
Rest, and also quietness, is necessary for wholeness. A key scripture and principle that I have tried to practice in my life for many years is found in Isaiah 30:15:
“For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest shall you be saved; and in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.”
Leisure is more than just non-work. It is when we PERMIT ourselves time for rest, growth, and development. Leisure is BOTH the embryo and the catalyst for creativity, and for NEW experiences, people, play, and places.
We have to permit ourselves the time to rest . . . to re-create . . . and to create! Isaiah 58:13-14 tells us about an ADDED BONUS when we honor the Sabbath of the Lord.
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
Then shall you delight yourself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”
We need to have TOTAL success in life: in this life on earth and in the eternal beyond; and God has provided just such means to attain that goal. God has given us EVERYTHING WE NEED for: LIFE, and GODLINESS.
“According as His divine power has given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue.” [2 Peter 1:3]
He has given us PROMISES so that we can share or partner with Him in His divine expansion – or growth of descendants – after we have escaped, by His saving grace, the ruin that is in the world through lust. In other words, after we are born again and start serving Messiah, we can partner and be a companion with God in successfully bearing fruit: that is, growing other seed-descendants. These include our own children who are born again while also reaching out to the rest of the world.
“Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” [2 Peter 1:4]
How can we involve ourselves in powerful, prolonged, and productive effort that will be self multiplying and profitable, not only temporally here on Planet Earth but also eternally in Heaven?
The answer: be actively engaged in organic ministry growth! Be involved in a work that is propagating living, continuous development of the Kingdom of God.
The definition of the word propagate is “to breed by natural (or supernatural) processes from a parent origin; to promote an idea or knowledge widely; to transmit in a particular direction.”
There are around 60,000 people groups on Planet Earth, with Messianic believers and Christians in most regions of the earth. With the expansion of global trade, internet access, social networking, and communications, many – if not most – of these groups understand and view themselves as one worldwide synagogue or church in an interconnected world. To be involved in Kingdom Work is to be involved with the heart and purpose of God. It is to be involved LOCALLY and GLOBALLY . . . and both TEMPORALLY and ETERNALLY.
The earth is getting smaller with regard to travel, communications, and interfacing of cultures. At the same time the Body of Messiah’s people is becoming more inter-tribal. We see the horizon of the fulfillment of Yeshua’s prophecy that the Good News will be preached, proclaimed, or published before the time of His return to Planet Earth.
“And the gospel must first be published [preached] among all nations.” [Mark 13:10]
The word for nations here used is “ethnos” – as in ethnic group – meaning “a race of the same habit, or culture, or tribe.”
Read and study the Biblical pattern of synagogue and church growth in the Book of Acts. Certain things are evidentiary and these same patterns are manifest in any POWER GROWTH synagogue or church today.
1. When people believed in Yeshua (Jesus), and after they took part in mikvah (were baptized in water), a group was formed for: worship; teaching; prayer; helps; and, evangelism.
2. Prophets and teachers were raised up by the Holy Spirit.
3. The Christians prayed and fasted.
4. The Holy Spirit called out apostles.
5. These apostles were sent out (NOT “released”) by the believers after hands were laid on them.
6. As the apostles went to different areas they preached the Good News.
7. Other churches were raised up as a result of the preaching and the work of the apostles.
8. The churches grew and ministered to the believers, the community, and the world.
Notice, in Acts 13:1-4, it was the Holy Spirit who CALLED the apostles (verse 2) and it was the Holy Spirit who SENT them (verse 4). In between the calling and the sending was the ratification by the elders with the laying on of hands (verse 3). The apostles were NOT “released by men” . . . it was the Holy Spirit who called and sent them.
Notice, this is the NORMAL PATTERN of church growth. This is to be expected today! It should be a regular practice of a local church to SEND OUT workers: both for long term commitment and for short term service.
We should always be willing to make changes for the Lord; that is part of discipleship. However; there are times we have to wait . . . because God is developing things or situations where we are going to be sent . . . or because He is developing things in our lives . . . or both!
But if you wait for an EXTENDED period of time, then examine yourself to make sure you are willing to leave your comfort zone. God may be speaking to you and redirecting you, but you may not be listening because it is NOT what you want to hear.
Patience is really cheerful, or hopeful, endurance. True biblical patience, as expressed by the Greek word “hupomone” is constancy. It is the kind of enduring patience, or patient continuance in well doing. It is knowing the will of God for this season of your life, and looking forward to being used by God in SPECIAL SERVICE in the future, also! Be involved in ministry that is sending out the workers, birthing or planting new synagogues and churches, preaching and teaching to facilitate the MIRACLE working power of God. Yeshua (Jesus) sent out his followers . . . and He is sending YOU out to:
Preach and teach;
Heal the sick;
Cast out demons.
This threefold ministry, or triangulation of mission, will empower you and your ministry; it will keep you FRESH under the anointing of the Spirit. You will be continuously creative, causing you to be more successful and to have continued vision!
Now, if you add to your patience PRINCIPLES OF VALUE and GODLINESS, you will have the spiritual and physical mechanics to add other people, like-minded associates, to your asset bank for success and continued vision.
PRINCIPLES OF VALUE plus GODLINESS
One of the great aspects of reading and studying – as well as meditating upon – the Holy Bible daily is so we can learn precepts and principles. We can learn HOW God thinks about certain things and WHY He wants us to behave in a particular manner. Situations vary in life; we may not always come up against situations that have been codified. However, if we know HOW God thinks about certain things and WHY God expects certain responses from us, then we can transfer those principles into every arena of life.
We need to know both the Jewish Old Testament (Tanakh) and the Jewish New Testament (Brit Chadashah) so we can navigate successfully through the issues of life and have continued vision. There is an association between the Law of God and vision from the Lord.
“The law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the Lord.” [Lamentations 2:9]
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.” [Proverbs 29:18]
It is the same way in our personal lives and ministries. If we adhere to the teachings of God; that is, live by the principles we learn about HOW God thinks and WHY He expects certain behavior, then we will not only have SUCCESS but also continued VISION.
Actually the combined traits of PRINCIPLES OF VALUE and GODLINESS will be concomitant factors. Here again is the key: knowing and obeying the Word of God, which is His Will!
LIKE-MINDED ASSOCIATES plus BROTHERLY KINDNESS
You need to have strong relationships with God and with those people to whom God will lead you to work. Appreciate the people with which God has chosen you to work. However, don’t try to “force” relationships: don’t make commitments to every person you meet. God will show you those people to whom you should be committed when you are FIRST committed to Him!
Give positive support, or “reinforcement” to those people you’re committed to …
Whether they are OVER YOU in a position of authority;
You are OVER THEM; or,
You are on the same level (working or ministry associates).
Remind each other that “God will fight for us!”.
Give your associates REWARDS from time-to-time for:
The good work they do;
Their consistency and faithfulness; or,
Their availability.
These rewards do not (always) have to be monetary. Sometimes a “pat on the back”, or a “word of encouragement”, is really meaningful: letting them know the good they are doing is not going unnoticed. Let people KNOW you are THANKFUL and APPRECIATIVE of their association with you.
Maybe an invitation to dinner, or just spending time alone with them or their family, whether it’s a few minutes or a day or two. It is also important for a man to give positive support to his wife. There are so many ways a wife serves a husband in his ministry that may go unnoticed by him.
Simple brotherly kindness to and among your group will go a long way to impacting the world with Messiah’s love and power! This is the reason I started The Apostles Group seven years ago, and the reason I write this newsletter and provide our world services free.
We need to appreciate those nearest to us, and never to take them for granted. This is where “family altar” is so important: don’t neglect ministering to your own family! They may be your GREATEST DISCIPLES!! Read and discuss the Holy Bible together, and then pray together.
It is good to spend time refreshing your mind thinking about all the successes God has given you in the past. God has NOT brought you this far to make you fail. God is FOR you! One time the disciples of Jesus were in a ship in the middle of the sea where the waves were rough and the wind was strong. They became fearful until Jesus came to them on the water and told them not to be afraid. They FORGOT that the Lord had commanded them to GO to the other side.
He did NOT intend them to sink or to fail. Jesus intends for you to SUCCEED! He wants you to make it to the “other side.” Take time to study in the Holy Bible how others have succeeded: Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Esther, Mordecai … and the Apostles.
Associate with like-minded people who SHARE YOUR VISION (or who know what you’re about) . . . people who are POSITIVE. You want to be able to brainstorm with these people, and not to have ideas – no matter how ridiculous – be shot down as soon as they are verbalized.
IMPORTANT: This group of like-minded people with whom you will share your vision, goals, and new ideas, is NOT an accountability group. This is NOT a group of people to whom you decide to be accountable for your personal life, your ministry, or your finances. This is a group of people with whom you need to have OPENNESS for CREATIVITY:
To dream;
To plan;
To get feedback; and,
To implement.
We have seen that when we add to our patience the twin gifts of GODLINESS and PRINCIPLES OF VALUE, we will have the spiritual and physical mechanics to add other people, LIKE-MINDED ASSOCIATES, to our asset bank for success and continued vision. Next . . . you can select your VEHICLE FOR ATTAINMENT.
VEHICLE FOR ATTAINMENT plus LOVE
What is the means by which you will arrive at your goal? What is the vehicle which will transport you to the attainment of your dream?
When an athlete in a championship game scores the winning goal, he is merely manifesting a composite of the years of training, wins and losses, experience, exercise, and mental conditioning that have preceded this moment. Likewise, the composite of major decisions in our lives are usually the summation of the smaller minor decisions and habit-patterns we have formed along the way.
To some people, the vehicle for attainment of their goals is a multilevel marketing plan. To others, it is a business and investment plan. To many, it is a retirement plan. To the ULTIMATE WINNER, it is the vision and the miraculous arrived at through seeking God in prayer and fasting: combining ENTHUSIASTIC DESIRE and FAITH with DIRECTION from God.
God will reveal YOUR vehicle for attainment as you spend time alone with Him. Shut off your television and your video / DVD player . . . spend time with the Creator of the Universe. Talk to Him . . . listen to Him. God is NOT stupid. The Heavenly Father knows the person who wants to be used by Him . . . the person who wants to spend time with Him. And, He doesn’t need anyone: no matter how great our talents, skills, and possessions!
The Creator will reveal by His Spirit the vehicle for you to use in the attainment of your goal(s) . . . and when to CHANGE that vehicle. God, the creator of the goal-desires in your heart, knows the methodology by which to bring them to pass. He knows the vehicle by which, when coupled with FAITH, will bring the goal-desires into fruition.
There is an amazing spiritual truth we find in Genesis 11:1-9. Before the nations of the earth were scattered on the face of the earth, the earth was of one language and one speech. The people had decided to make a city and a tower, whose top would reach unto heaven; they wanted to make a name for themselves so they would not be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth.
“And the Lord said, ‘Behold, the people is one, and they all have one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” [verse 6] “Let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” [verse 7]
Archaeological records show us that these were wicked and idolatrous people. Yet we see in verse 6 that God said, “nothing will be restrained from them”. Notice they had ONE goal and ONE speech. They were unified in purpose and language.
If this principle of “oneness” works in unbelievers … for ungodly, wicked people … how much more will it work for believers … for God’s people … who have ONE goal and ONE speech: a common vision and a common language! Especially spirit-filled Christians who have a common objective and who can pray and decree a thing (or a set of objectives) in not only their common earthly language(s), but also their heavenly language: tongues!
In Job 22:28 we read, “You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you …” In the original Hebrew language the word “decree” is a primitive root form of the word “gazar“, which means “to cut out exclusively, or to decide“. In its primitive form it is used also as a “quarrying” term … as in cutting out stone from a rock quarry.
It means more than to “say” or “speak”. It conveys the meaning of “cutting something out in your mind’s eye”; that is, “to envision [to make a vision], to decide upon it, and confess it” … and then it will be established unto you! If you and your Christian brothers and sisters have a common vision or goal, and decide upon it, confessing it in a common language, speaking it … “nothing will be restrained from you which you have imagined (or, envisioned) to do!! [Read again Genesis 11:1-6.]
The SECRET . . . the capstone to the whole process . . . without which you will not be the ULTIMATE WINNER . . . is LOVE.
The vehicle for attainment of your goals, no matter how intense your desire, your faith and the other twins we have studied, cannot bring you into success and continued vision without LOVE. Love is the channel through which the gifts of the Holy Spirit work. “Faith works by love.” [Galatians 5:6]
Remember … if you have LOVE, then FAITH can work.

EIGHT TWIN STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS & CONTINUED VISION – PART B
I guarantee you success and continued vision! You will not be barren or unfruitful, if you practice what I am teaching you in this series. Also, you will have an abundant entrance into Heaven. Remember, there are rewards in Heaven for your labor of love and faithfulness here on earth.
Jesus wants to be able to say to you when you enter Heaven: “Well done, you good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord.” [ Matthew 25:21]
You need continued vision for vitality. The Bible says, “Without a vision, the people perish.” [Proverb 29:18] To be successful in this life and to prepare for life in Heaven . . . and to maintain continued vision so we will be fresh and vibrant . . . there are eight (8) TWIN STRATEGIES to help you.
In the last newsletter we discussed the FIRST TWO TWINS for success and continued vision:
Enthusiastic Desire PLUS Faith; and,
Decisive Nature PLUS Virtue.

We will discuss the next two (2) twins in this newsletter. They are as follows:
Specialized Knowledge PLUS Spiritual Knowledge; and,
Quest for Excellence PLUS Temperance.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE plus SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE
If you are going to be used greatly by God, then you will have to make up your mind ahead of time that you are willing to do things . . . and exploits . . . that are out of the ordinary. Yeshua (Jesus) did not fit into the normal mold of man, even though He was God in human flesh. He was a perfect man . . . but he was focused on doing the will of God . . . not the will of man.
Likewise, if you make the decision to do the will of God during your time here on earth, then neither will you will fit into the normal mold of man: you will seem eccentric to the world. The definition of eccentric is as follows: 1. Unconventional and slightly strange; 2. Not placed centrally or having its axis placed centrally. But you see, this definition is from the perspective of what is “normal” and God did NOT call us to be normal by the world’s standards. Rather, the normal Christian life is abnormal to the world.
The origin of the word “eccentric” is from the Greek “ekkentros“: “ek” meaning “out of” plus “kentron” meaning “center,” therefore the meaning of: “out of center.” John Steward Mill gives an insightful comment of truth concerning this:
“Eccentricity has always abounded when and where strength of character has abounded; and the amount of eccentricity in society has always been proportioned to the amount of genius, mental vigor and moral courage which it contained. That so few men now dare to be eccentric marks the chief danger of our time.”
Specialized knowledge is highly dependent upon genius AND mental vigor. The second of these two, mental vigor, can complement what may be lacking in the first of the two: genius.
What is that GREAT THING you want to do for God? Do you have the SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE to attain that goal? Are you willing to sacrifice, study, and research to obtain the knowledge required to complete the task? Don’t be a lazy follower of the Lord. God did not call us to complacency, but rather to excellence. I have been on this planet for several scores of years, and I still spend much time studying and researching to find NEW, BETTER, and MORE PRODUCTIVE ways to reach the world for Messiah and to help my fellow man. Don’t be afraid . . . and never get too old . . . to go back to school for more formal education.

We are living in a day like the Prophet Daniel described where “knowledge shall be increased” and we should take advantage of it to advance the kingdom of God. Daniel, in a passage of scripture dealing with the end times, tells us ” . . . but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” [Daniel 11:32] “Exploit,” in the sense used here, means literally “to do successively unfolding bold, courageous works!”
There are many other ways to influence society and to reach the world for Messiah other than through the internet and social media. And there are many NEW ways to help yourself gain SUCCESS! Pray and ask God to reveal these to you. Then, obey Him and be diligent to study in order to prepare yourself to be used by the Master: to be a good steward.
No amount of SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, however, will be of significant time value without SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE. No matter how successful we become in life, it will not be of any time value unless we know God personally. If we know God through His Son, Jesus the Messiah, then we have eternal life. [John 3:16] The measure of a man’s success in life is how many of his children make it to Heaven. If we know the Lord, we are living part of our eternal life NOW, while here on earth, and then in Heaven. It will never end!
Yeshua taught us, “What does it profit a man if he gains all the world, and loses his own soul? Also, what shall a man give in exchange, or to buy back, his soul?” [Mark 16:26 - Mark 8:36]
We need to have TOTAL success in life: in this life on earth and in the eternal beyond; and God has provided just such means to attain that goal. God has given us EVERYTHING WE NEED for: LIFE, and GODLINESS.
“According as His divine power has given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue.” [2 Peter 1:3]
He has given us PROMISES so that we can share or partner with Him in His divine expansion – or growth of descendants – after we have escaped, by His saving grace, the ruin that is in the world through lust. In other words, after we are born again and start serving Messiah, we can partner and be a companion with God in successfully bearing fruit: that is, growing other seed-descendants. These include our own children who are born again while also reaching out to the rest of the world. “Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” [2 Peter 1:4]
We should BELIEVE this and EXPECT it. Our children should be our greatest disciples. If not, something is wrong, or out of place.
Learn the PROMISES in Gods Word; believe them and appropriate them by faith. Take quality time daily to study and meditate in God’s Word. I usually separate my “study time” from my “devotional time.” In the morning, before I start my active day, I have my devotional time where I just want God to speak to me and minister to me through His Word, even before I have my prayer time. I made a rule years ago: “No Bible, no breakfast.” Eat the Word of God first. Jesus said, “It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” [Matthew 4:4]
When you study the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, and to teach you so you can teach others. The scripture instructs us, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” [2 Timothy 2:15]
Combining SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE with SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE will provide you a powerful impetus for ongoing success and continued vision. To be really successful we need to share our success with others: our family, our brothers and sisters in Messiah, our community, and the world.
THE MORE YOU KNOW . . . THE MORE THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN USE! This applies not only to mental knowledge but also knowledge gained through the acquisition of physical skills or craftsmanship. Bezaleel was such a man:
“And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.” [Torah: Exodus 31:1-5]
When SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE is combined with SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE, there is a holy anointing upon our lives: our talents, skills, and abilities. Together, they not only complement each other, but they synergize each other.
But always remember: “Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” [1 Corinthians 8:1] Temper your knowledge (both specialized and spiritual) with LOVE!
Daniel was a leader, counselor, and basically Prime Minister in three different foreign kingdoms (in which he was captive) partly because of his knowledge base. The Bible tells us concerning Daniel and the three Hebrew teenagers who accompanied him into captivity:
“Children in whom was no blemish, but well favored, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability . . .” [Daniel 1:4]
QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE plus TEMPERANCE
The Bible tells us another of the secrets of Daniel’s success:
“It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; and over these three presidents: of whom Daniel was first, so that the princes might give accounts unto the presidents, and the king should have no damage.”
“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an EXCELLENT spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.” [Daniel 6:1-3]
The word here used for “excellent” is “yateer” and in its root form means “preeminent, or very exceedingly excellent.” That’s because the spirit that was in Daniel was the Ruach ha Chodesh (the Holy Spirit). Because of Daniel’s separation and devotion to God, he manifested a quality of excellence in whatever he attempted.
The Greek word for “virtue” in the New Testament is “arete“: it means “excellence and valor.” We need to be people of EXCELLENCE. Our nature should be to make excellent decisions based upon virtue.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” [Colossians 3:23-24]
Don’t compare yourself with someone else; just do what you know God wants you to do. Do your best, don’t be satisfied with low quality work or effort. It’s interesting that the origin of the word “mediocre” is from the Latin “mediocris” which means of “middle height or degree” but literally means “somewhat rugged or mountainous.” It is derived from the words “medius” for “middle” and “ocris” for “rugged mountain.”
To do mediocre work is actually harder on you because you are causing your conscience to condemn you. It is like climbing a rugged mountain. The Bible says, “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.” [1 John 3:20] The EXCELLENT choice may be more of a sacrifice temporarily, but it will be easier on you in the long term. You will never go wrong striving for excellence!
Practice excellence in your CHARACTER. Be transparent and keep your word. Psalm 15 is a good start for practical living and developing excellence in character. Also, loving our neighbor as we do ourself, and doing unto him as we would have him do to us, is the guideline our Master set before us.
Practice excellence in your WORK. Be a good steward for you earthly employer and your Heavenly employer. Colossians 3:22 (Brit Chadashah) instructs us NOT to do sight-labor, that is: work that needs watching.
In your quest for excellence, develop your skills to the BEST of your ability. Be a good manager of what God has given you and over which God has placed you. Keep improving and growing in your knowledge base, your acumen, and your skills. Study Part A of this ezine teaching to help develop excellence in acumen; study the section on “Decisive Nature and Virtue.”
Along with the quest for excellence you need to partner with temperance, or self control. Many people, on their quest for excellence, do NOT allow for rest or leisure. This is vital to SUCCESS and CONTINUED VISION.
Rest, and also quietness, is necessary for wholeness. A key scripture and principle that I have tried to practice in my life for many years is found in Isaiah 30:15:
“For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest shall you be saved; and in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.”
The word “leisure” comes from the Latin word “licere” which means “to be permitted.” The Latin word for “work” is “negotium” which means “nonleisure.” Most so-called advanced societies today have turned this around and view leisure as nonwork!
Tim Hansel, in his book When I Relax I Feel Guilty, points out that the Greeks stressed the centrality of lesiure, but they added another important facet. The Greek word for “work” was “ascholia,” which means “absence of leisure.” The word for leisure was “schole,” which leads to the English words for school and scholarship. Leisure, then, was a time for growth and development.
Leisure is more than just non-work. It is when we PERMIT ourselves time for rest, growth, and development. Leisure is BOTH the embryo and the catalyst for creativity, and for NEW experiences, people, play, and places.
We have to permit ourselves the time to rest . . . to re-create . . . and to create!

ENTHUSIASTIC DESIRE plus FAITH
If you do not have burning desires and goals throughout life, you will become bored. The English word enthusiasm means intense enjoyment or interest. It has its root in the Greek word enthous, meaning possessed by God.
Josiah became king of Judah when he was eight years old and reigned for 31 years. “And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the Lord with ALL HIS HEART, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like unto him.” [2 Kings 23:25]
There is a wonderful promise in Mark 11:24 which Yeshua (Jesus) declared: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you DESIRE, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.”
Another wonderful promise in Psalm 37:4 states: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the DESIRES of your heart.”
When you have pleasurable emotion in the Lord, when you delight in Him . . . when you are ENTHUSED in your worship of Him . . . then He will give you the DESIRES of your heart. He first gives them to you by placing them in your heart and mind. And secondly, He gives them to you by granting them . . . bringing them to fruition . . . after you have consistently applied your FAITH. It’s like an engine and a caboose on a train.
These desires will many times be to do GREAT THINGS; and the enemy, the devil, will lie to you and tell you that you can NOT accomplish them. But the devil is a liar and God is truth. This is one way you know that those desires in your heart to do BIG THINGS for Messiah is from God: because the devil is trying to talk you out of it!
When you combine your good desires with faith . . . ENTHUSIASTIC DESIRE plus FAITH . . . you have an unbeatable combination. You can begin to PLAN your future prayerfully based upon the God given desires of your heart. That’s one reason it is important to read and meditate upon the Word of God daily so you will KNOW and develop the will of God for your life.
Remember . . . you can CREATE with your faith. Hebrews 11:1 tell us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is the underpinning or support . . . a title deed (as in property) . . . that lets you KNOW you have the objects or affairs you do not yet see.
It is a wonderful thing to have FAITH, but if you have a PLAN incorporating your desires to go along with your faith, it is even better! Here’s a SECRET that will allow you to SEE many MIRACLES:
If your PLANS fit into God’s plans
. . . . . . . you will have God’s FAITH
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . and God’s faith ALWAYS WORKS!
DECISIVE NATURE plus VIRTUE
You need to be able to make decisions based upon knowledge and quality input. Once again, this is where it is important to read and meditate upon the Word of God daily. You need DIRECTION in the many matters of life that face you now . . . and also about future planning. God has given us everything we need for LIFE and GODLINESS through His PROMISES and the KNOWLEDGE of Christ.

In business we need to draw upon quality research, marketing, and experience (sometimes the input of others). And we need to KNOW when to act. Timing is KEY to success in many courses of action. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, says that when he knows that something is right, and that the timing is right, he goes into it with MASSIVE ACTION. However, without VIRTUE a decision can have disastrous effects eternally and with no substance temporally here on earth.
The Greek word for VIRTUE in the New testament is arete: it means excellence and valor. We need to be people of EXCELLENCE. Our nature should be to make excellent DECISIONS based upon VIRTUE.

Make your decisions based upon the fact that God is watching you!
There are several words for TIME in the Bible, but in our discussion here of DECISIVE NATURE we are talking about a due season of time, or an opportune season of time. It is the meaning which if you miss the window of time presented you . . . or available at this particular time . . . then you will MISS the opportunity! In the New Testament it is the Greek word kairos.
An example of exercising a DECISIVE NATURE along with VIRTUE is in the Old Testament in the Book of Esther when the Jews were facing extermination in 127 provinces from India to Ethiopia. Mordecai told Queen Esther:
“For if you altogether hold your peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but you and your father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Ruth is another example of a person who exercised a DECISIVE NATURE and VIRTUE when she decided to go to Israel with her mother-in-law. She said: “Entreat me not to leave you, or to return from following after you: for where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God will be my God.” [Ruth 1:16]

UNLIMITED VISION AND ATTAINMENT
MUSIC / INTRO
The title of this newsletter may seem oxymoronic. How can you have UNlimited goals and succeed in accomplishing them? Answer: by NOT limiting your goals. Usually the main thing people omit when establishing goals is NOT allowing for self-perpetuating growth or augmentation.
Years ago I gave three automobiles away to three different ministers of the Gospel. I had walked for three years before the Lord blessed me with the first auto I gave away; and I walked in between the time I gave the others away. I am now driving the ??th automobile (I forgot how many) that the Lord has given me. Seven of the autos were Cadillacs (the most expensive auto made in the USA) and in about half of them I had loudspeaker installations.
The Cadillacs were excellent for this setup because they had ample space between the front grille and the radiator to enable the sideways installation of a large 110 watt police horn speaker. Inside the cars were also installed amplifiers and secret (hidden) microphones. This way I could preach while driving and have both hands on my steering wheel. The sound was so loud from the loudspeaker that one time while driving down an interstate freeway, going about 70 mph, the cattle in a field a long way from the road even turned to look as I was preaching.
In large metropolitan cities I would preach while stopping at the red lights while the crowds of pedestrians would cross the street. Sometimes people would risk getting run over and hurriedly walk (almost run) through (against) the red light just to get away from God’s Word.
One time while driving through the mountains the Lord impressed me to stop the car and preach on the loudspeaker. There weren’t any people or buildings around that I could see but I obeyed anyway. I didn’t know until a few minutes later that there were men working down the mountainside building a house. I preached to them from Hebrews 3:4, “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.”
Whenever I’m home, in the morning I step out on the roof veranda and look at some of the most beautiful buildings in the world with architecturally superb designs. Amazed at their grandeur, I also reflect on all the planning, money, risk, coordination, and time that went into building them. And I always thing of that verse in Hebrews 3:4, “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.”
When I first look at the buildings, even with my engineering background, I think, “How can men build these fantastic buildings?” And then I think, “But God built ALL things … he made the men and the materials; and gave men the knowledge and skills needed to construct and finish them.”
I want to encourage you. You can do something far BIGGER than build buildings like these. You can make disciples for Messiah Yeshua and MULTIPLY your ministry / vision through many future generations.

First of all, never get so busy that you don’t have time to dream! What is that BIG work you want to do for God? You CAN DO it!
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” [Matthew 19:26]
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.” [Mark 9:23]
“And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” [Matthew 21:22]
“For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.” [Hebrews 3:4]
Here is one of YOUR KEYS to success:
If your plans fit into God’s plan … you will have God’s faith … and God’s faith always works!
This is one reason it is imperative to see the importance of Israel, Jerusalem, and God’s chosen people, the Jews, in the divine plan of God. For this reason, to help you, I recently wrote the newsletters “The Millennial Kingdom (Part A) and (Part B).”
“When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob [Israel] is the lot of His inheritance.” [ Deuteronomy 32:8-9]
In my booklet, “How To Win the World for Christ,” you will find seven (7) keys for reaching the whole world.
Multiplication of ministry starts with the BELIEF in the potential of one person. This is where discipleship is important. K. Bruce Miller drives home this idea: “Would you spend as much time preparing yourself to meet the needs of one person as you would preparing a sermon for five thousand? How much do you believe in the potential of one?”
In my teaching on “Anointing of Multiplication” you will find how to multiply your ministry.
In the teaching “How to Start a Church” you will find a simple, effective way to start a synagogue or church in any neighborhood, city, barrio, or village.
A few years ago I prophesied to my oldest daughter, Ariel, that she would start teaching God’s Word. I bought her a new study Bible and gave it to her. About a month later she called me and told me that the Lord was having her start teaching . She and her husband and another couple started a home Bible study with about 6 to 10 people, alternating from each home. The other couple finally felt the Lord leading to start a church, and in about three years grew to 1,500 people attending. Around 400 of those attending were new Christians, having given their lives to the Lord within the previous year.

When you have a dream or vision that you want to accomplish for God, the main thing you need to decide on at the outset is that you will NOT quit … you will NOT give up!
If you don’t quit, you’ll WIN! … But if you quit, you can’t win!
Thomas Edison failed over 30,000 times before inventing the light bulb. The Bible says, “A just man falls seven times, and rises up again.” [Proverbs 24:16]
You have time, talent, and treasure with which to serve the Lord. God is watching for your faithfulness. Are you consistent in good times as well as bad? Are you BELIEVING for the accomplishment of your vision through the years when you don’t SEE fruit, production, or growth? Does your plan fit into God’s plan?
Read Luke 11:5-15. Importunity means to keep on asking; approach God with your requests as persistent and pressing.
“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asks, receives; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.” [Luke 11:9-10]
Have only super BIG, positive, more-than-maximum, Unlimited goals. And … keep enlarging them. Refuse to have small, negative, limiting thoughts, dreams, and visions. Say to yourself, “I refuse to think or envision anything negative, small, minimal, or limited.”
Zechariah 4:10 says, “For who has despised the day of small things?” Don’t worry about STARTING small … just make sure the goal – the vision – is BIG and unlimited.
Associate with positive winners! It would be better to be alone, and hang out with Jesus, than to associate with the wrong people. There’s an old saying, “If you want to see what you’ll become, look at the people you’re with whom you associate.” This is “the law of the group.” We associate ourselves with people we are like.
Find somebody who is positive and successful and spend quality time with them. If you can’t find anyone like that, then spend lots of time with Jesus the Messiah in fellowship, in His Word, and in prayer. I always enjoy when I can be away from people so I can spend more time talking to Jesus.

Project yourself into your visions and goals. A successful hedging investor in the commodities futures market has to do two (2) things:
1. He has to mentally place himself in the trade; and,
2. He has to ask himself, “Do I have the product or not?”
These two factors will determine the position a successful hedge investor will take. It’s the same way when you plan BIG works for God:
1. You have to mentally place yourself in the vision. See yourself at each stage of the growth. Then PLAN and PRAY accordingly. Pray ahead of time for each stage of development.
2. Ask yourself (ahead of time) at each stage of the project / vision: “Do I have what I need?” If “Yes,” pray and plan for the proper implementation. If “No,” pray and receive in faith the people and things you need.
As your vision develops and comes to pass you will need a network. A network is comprised of:
Logistics;
Communication; and,
Funding.
You need to pray ahead of time for these and receive them by faith. And don’t always look at the easy way or the path of least resistance. Also, not every package that comes your way (that has your name on it) is necessarily from God. It might be from the devil. It might be from a Christian. For example, you might receive an offer of funding or help from a Christian source, but make sure you pray about it before receiving it. It may NOT be God’s will. I’ve given lots of money back to people after they gave it to me, and sometimes when it was offered to me.
Read 2 Chronicles 25:9. King Amaziah had hired 100,000 mighty men to help him fight and had paid 100 talents of silver. Afterwards the man of God told King Amaziah not to go carry out his plans to use these men. Amaziah then told the man of God, “What shall we do for the 100 talents that I have given them?” And the man of God answered him, “But God is able to give you much more than this.”
How LARGE can you ASK?
How BIG can you THINK?
“Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ASK or THINK, according to the power that works in us …” [Ephesians 3:20]
TRY THIS VISION:
A Holy Spirit baptized church or Messianic synagogue in every neighborhood and village of the earth.
A Holy Spirit baptized witness in every house, home, or family of the earth.
Take this message, my friend, and reach the whole world with the Good News of Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel.

VISION, VALOR, AND VICTORY
King Hezekiah was a man who did what was good, right, and truthful. Everything he was involved in was carried out with all his heart; and he prospered.
“This Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.” [2 Chronicles 31:20-21]
All people should live a life that is right before God, but leaders especially have a greater responsibility to do so. With that responsibility comes an attendant blessing. When you are in the arena, you will be shot at. If you want to be used greatly by God, then make your mind up ahead of time that you are NOT going to quit, and you are NOT going to run away!
If you quit, you can’t win. But if you don’t quit, you’ll win!
This doesn’t mean that you will have the strength or wisdom in your self; but you are determined to stand in faith, believing and drawing upon the resources of God.
The Assyrians were a cruel and treacherous military force. They resorted to terrible means of torture and were also a formidable foe. After Hezekiah’s deeds of faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered Judah. He encamped against the fortified cities, thinking to win them over to himself.
When Hezekiah saw this, and realized that Sennacherib’s purpose was to make war against Jerusalem, he gathered his leaders and commanders together and encouraged them.
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is before him: for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. [2 Chronicles 32:7-8]
Because of the impending danger, King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah prayed and cried out to heaven. Then the Lord sent an angel who cut down every mighty man of valor, every leader, and every captain in the army of Assyria. So the King of Assyria returned shamefaced to his own land, and was killed by his own family.
“And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians 185,000 men; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses – all dead.” [2 Kings 19:35; 2 Chronicles 32:9-23]
God still uses angels today. Psalm 34:7 tells us “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” Surely there are many times the angels deliver and protect us and we don’t even know about it. But, in addition – like many of the promises of God – we need to KNOW God’s Word so we can ACCESS God’s resources. We need to appropriate them by faith. We need to BELIEVE and PRAY as Hezekiah did. Vision begins with a purpose … and that purpose is to SEE the dream become a reality! There are five (5) basic steps in this process:
1. Dream;
2. Plan;
3. Preparation;
4. Logistics; and,
5. Action.
In action – and sometimes in the first four steps above – we engage the adversary as Hezekiah did. We implement our plans and put in place those things and people we have prepared, and that the Lord has assigned to us. Then we utilize the resources within our command to take action. Gideon had some clay vessels and candles. Moses had a rod. What is it that God has placed in your hand? What are those things you will BELIEVE God to bring into your access? It is your duty to use your faith. Faith is your servant. Read Luke 17:5-10.
Many times it is the thing that is in our hand or our heart that is our greatest resource. Are we turning the gifts of God away through unbelief? Are we afraid to leave our comfort zone? Use your faith – it is your DUTY to use it! I am reminded of a man and his wife who won $1,000,000 USD. When the authorized bearers of the prize tried to contact the couple, they were repeatedly turned away. The man and his wife would not answer their phone calls, or respond to their letters. They thought it was a joke. Finally, the man and his wife decided that they would at least see what the communication was about. The bearers of the prize were authorized one more time to attempt delivery to the man and his wife. They responded at the last minute.
How many times do we NOT receive God’s MIRACLES because of unbelief, or because of taking things for granted? We have the ability to DREAM and IMAGINE. We can establish a VISION and believe God for its fulfillment. When was the last time you dreamed for God? Imagine what your life and ministry would be like if the present hindrances were removed. One of the great promises in the Holy Bible is found in Jeremiah 33:3. “Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.”
In his book The Weight of Glory, C. S. Lewis said “Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak.” What can you IMAGINE or THINK? For what can you ASK God? “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” [Ephesians 3:20]
Once your dream is starting to take form – that is, when it becomes a reality – your VALOR will be tested: by God … and by the enemy of your soul: the devil. You will have to make up your mind ahead of time to be a champion, to be valiant. God is looking for champions like the people of faith who went before us, who “Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.” [Hebrews 11:34]
As you move out with the VISION, know that God has designed your VICTORY, but you have to have VALOR and stand in faith, calling upon Him for strength, wisdom, and MIRACLES. One thing that will help you is when you realize that God will use your enemy to help promote you: just like He did Pharaoh. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that the Lord would be SET APART in the eyes of the Egyptians. And so God will use the reality of your vision so that He might be set apart in the eyes of people in every nation, tribe, family, and language of the earth. [Exodus 9:13-16; Romans 9:17] Just as God used angelic ministry to help King Hezekiah and his people, so God will use the angels to help you, if you will PRAY and CRY OUT to Heaven like Hezekiah and Isaiah.
The magicians could not stand before Moses [Exodus 9:11], and neither will the enemy’s people stand before you. There will be a severance – a setting apart – for God’s servants. There is a difference for those anointed for ministry: not “haphazard” ministry, but ministry anointed through prayer, fasting, listening, and obedience! The Lord makes a difference between His people and the people of the enemy. Read prayerfully the following verses; they are God’s Word for you at this time:
Exodus 8:23;
Exodus 9:26;
Exodus 11:7
The two most important things you can do to enlarge your VISION and engage the enemy with VALOR are:
1. Sit at the feet of Jesus; and,
2. Live holy.
Then your VICTORY will be assured!

FEAR OF SUCCESS
God wants the BEST for you! He wants you to WIN! God wants you healthy, prosperous, successful, and productive! In the Old Testament, God told the Israelites that He wanted their days to be as the days of “Heaven upon earth.”
“That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon earth.” [Deuteronomy 11:18-21]
In the Brit Chadashah (New Testament), we read: “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, just like your soul prospers.” [3 John 2]
However, some people cannot handle these attributes – health, prosperity, success, productivity – at a particular point in time. Therefore, God sends testings to try us and prove us. There are different reasons why He does this:
1. To make sure when we are blessed with a particular attribute that we will give glory to Him.
2. To make sure we honorably represent Messiah. If being blessed causes us to be puffed up with pride, then that is not good.
These two items above should be one of our two parallel long term goals in life: to honorably represent Messiah and give glory to God.
The other long term goal in our life is to accomplish the great work for which we were created: the thing that is the deep desire within your heart.
In the last newsletter we discussed “Maintaining a Position of Spiritual Power.” One area of hindrance to maintaining a position of spiritual power is FEAR OF SUCCESS. I believe King Saul had a fear of success. The Bible says that Saul was “a choice young man and goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.” [1 Samuel 9:2]
Not only was Saul taller than any of the other young men, but he was cheerful, kind, joyful, and gracious. We know this from the descriptive Hebrew word “tob” which is translated “goodly” and “goodlier” in the English. He was handsome, healthy, and happy. He had a good start … but a miserable finish!
In the newsletter “Decision, Determination, and Destiny” (the story of Ruth) we learned that Ruth was propelled from poverty to status as a world class influence because of her willingness:
1. To change;
2. To learn; and,
3. To receive.
Fear of success will keep a person from receiving. There are several reasons for this:
1. Mental rejection. For some reason, they don’t want success: A.) Maybe because of the resultant responsibilities; B.) Maybe because success will also come to those around them whom they want to hurt; and, C.) Maybe because they want to punish themselves or those near to them.
2. Fear of failing. This seems contradictory but some people don’t want to succeed because they are afraid they will fail after they achieve success. Therefore, they set up a wall to protect themselves from succeeding … so they won’t have to fail.
3. Low self esteem. Inwardly, they do not feel worthy of success, and subconsciously reject it. They may accept success at the onset; however, over time, a self-defeating mechanism brings destruction and failure.
4. Unresolved sin. They may not realize that forgiveness is available through Christ. Or, they may know that Christ paid for their sins, but psychologically they still afflict punishment on themselves.
5. Demonic oppression. They may be afflicted with a spirit of failure, destruction, or inferiority … and sometimes a lying spirit assigned from the enemy, Satan, to keep them from success.
This is WHY we need to read and meditate the Word of God daily:
1. We need to KNOW what our Father in Heaven wants for us. God wants us healthy, prosperous, successful, holy, and productive!
2. We need to KNOW our spiritual authority in Messiah. In the name of Yeshua ha Meshiach (Jesus the Messiah) we can bind the demons that would try to lie to us and attack us (or lie to and attack others) and we can break their hold PERMANENTLY! [Read and study The Apostles Newsletter titled "The Covering" - June 15, 2003]
God designed you for SUCCESS. If you are IN MESSIAH, God has given you the tools you need TO WIN:
The name of Yeshua (Jesus);
The promises in God’s Word;
The measure of faith;
The ability to pray in tongues (Holy Spirit baptism); and
The ministry of the Holy Angels.
There is NO REASON for you to fail … if you are honorably representing Messiah Yeshua and giving glory to God.
Remember we discussed in a previous newsletter that our exit plan in life should be EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN our long term goals.
The bigger your long term goal for life, the more the enemy will try to resist you. It only stands to reason. He doesn’t care what or whom he uses: it may be a person (Christian or non-Christian); it may be a relative or someone you don’t know; it may be a friend or an enemy; it may be a demon; it may be a situation; it may be a series of situations to bring you into despondency or depression.
The good news is that you have ALREADY WON! All you have to do is APPROPRIATE YOUR VICTORY through faith. Claim the promises in God’s Word. Take your authority over the enemy and bind him in Jesus’ name, casting him away from hindering you and your associates. Loose – invoke – the ministry of the Holy Spirit into the situation. Commission the Holy Angels to help you … if you don’t know how to do this, then just ask God to send the Holy Angels to help you. At times you may want to fast and listen to God for new instructions.
Whatever you do … don’t quit! If you quit, you can’t win. If you don’t quit, you’ll win!
The bigger the goal(s) … the more patience you’ll need. The scripture says, “Knowing this, that the trying [or, testing] of your faith works [accomplishes] patience.” [James 1:3] Hang in there … you’re going to go through! Just like an athlete, you must learn to pace yourself. Don’t go too slow … don’t go too fast. You can’t make it on your own … your not strong enough to last.
Learn to enjoy the presence of Christ and draw on His strength. His strength is made perfect in your weakness! [2 Corinthians 12:9]
You do NOT have to be afraid of failure … and you do NOT have to be afraid of success. God has designed you for SUCCESS.
For God has NOT given us the spirit of fear; but He has given us the spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind and self control.” [2 Timothy 1:7]

HOW TO BE USED BY GOD IN A POWERFUL WAY
If you’re going to be used GREATLY by God, there are eight (8) things you will need.
Three (3) of the eight you MUST HAVE.
One (1) of the eight will help you IMMENSELY.
Four (4) of the eight you USUALLY NEED but probably won’t have UNLESS you pray and fast.
These four can make the difference between being successful or NOT accomplishing GREAT achievements for God!
The three (3) things you MUST have:
[] Anointing
[] Wisdom
[] Knowledge
The one thing which will help you IMMENSELY:
[] Network
The four things you USUALLY NEED are as follows:
[] Time
[] Money
[] Strength
[] Plan
It is the purpose of this teaching to instruct you as to HOW to obtain all eight of the above, and thereby be in a position to be GREATLY USED BY GOD.

[] THE ANOINTING
The Holy Spirit is your best friend. Spend much time with Him. Yes, I know He lives inside you if your human spirit has had a definite spiritual “jump start”: born again. But just because someone is a guest in your house … or even lives there … doesn’t mean you spend time with them. It’s the same way with the Holy Spirit.
Before I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues (received my heavenly language) I had sense enough to ask the Holy Spirit to “breathe on me” (to anoint me) before I would preach, and even before I would witness. I saw people come to Christ in great numbers in and outside of the USA.
Now I ask the Holy Spirit to anoint my writing and the various projects the Lord would have me undertake. When we produce social media releases, send out videos, cassettes, CD’s, literature, and workers (ministers) we lay hands on them and speak the BLOOD of Christ over them. We ask the Holy Spirit to anoint them: to save, heal, deliver, empower, and prosper the people receiving the ministry of the items or workers being sent out.
When I was a new Christian, I attended a Sword of the Lord Conference (one of the many I was privileged to attend) with great soul-winning ministers like Dr. John R. Rice. One evening Dr. Rice laid hands on me and prayed this prayer: “Father, breathe the breath of God on this young man for soul-winning power.” Within 15 minutes I led a person to Christ while I stopped to buy gasoline (petrol) for my automobile. That was the start of years of wonderful soul-winning adventures.
Since that time the Lord has taught me to ask for an anointing by the Spirit for multiplication upon my labors so that the results of the ministry will be multiplied: new churches and Messianic synagogues being raised up in every neighborhood, village, and community of the earth.
Ask the Holy Spirit to breathe on you. Talk to Him. Walk closely with Him. Ask for the anointing when you minister. Tell the Holy Spirit you need Him. Then, after the MIRACLES take place, give the Holy Spirit all the credit. Acknowledge to the crowds you’re ministering to that it was the Holy Spirit who did the work. It is the Holy Spirit who supplies the resurrection power of Christ on earth! Get alone immediately after you minister and tell your best friend – the Holy Spirit – that you know it was Him who did it!
[] WISDOM
Wisdom is the body of knowledge and experience gained – or developed – within a specified period or society. Practically speaking, wisdom is knowledge in action. The Holy Bible tells us how to initiate this process of development:
“The FEAR of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” [Proverbs 1:7 and 9:10]
I was thinking the other day of a prominent minister who fell into sin, was sentenced to prison, and later repented. He said that in all the time he was sinning that he never forgot that God loved him. But he said that his problem was that he forgot the FEAR of God!
We are so blessed to be the recipients of God’s love, mercy, and grace that we often forget His greatness and authority. We need to practice DAILY repentance and humility before the one “who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.” [Matthew 10:28]
On the other end of the spectrum, God’s wisdom will cause us to be slow to judge.
There are certain conditions of immorality laid down in the Bible which require us to impose church discipline. [1 Corinthians Chapters 5 and 6]. In this life we are to make certain judgments in relation to fellow believers as required by Scripture. In the next life, however, we will judge the world, and even angels. [1 Corinthians 5:12 and 6:2-3]
The FEAR of the LORD should cause us to be very slow to judge, and only then with NO acrimonious intent. There should be NO exhibition of strong animosity or resentment. But the FEAR of the LORD should cause us to judge in love, seeking the good of the person being disciplined. Why? Because this is the nature of our Father and we are to manifest His nature.
We, of all people on the earth, should consider where we came from … none of us were perfect. None of us were clean before God. If God were to mark offenses, who would stand? If it weren’t for Jesus, we would all be in a pit like Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. [Numbers 16:33]
“Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.” [Romans 14:4]
We have enough “beams” and “timber” in our own eyes to be removed before we attempt to remove the straw from our brother’s eye.
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” [ Matthew 7:3]
The FEAR of the LORD is the BEGINNING of WISDOM. It will cause us to act with controlled moderation in our own lives, as well as cause us to be SLOW to judge others, and then only out of LOVE for the one(s) being disciplined – true love, not a false love that only appears loving outwardly – seeking the benefit of the one(s) being disciplined.
“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.” [Proverbs 15:33]
This kind of wisdom will cause us to be humble and will ultimately bring us into honor where we can be USED GREATLY by God.
[] KNOWLEDGE
Wisdom is knowledge in action. By reading God’s Word, we know about God and what He wants … we learn His principles, also. When we have great reverence for our Heavenly Father, we desire to do what pleases Him, and begin to apply the knowledge we have from and about Him.
For decades I have conducted A.C.T.I.O.N. Seminars in different countries. A.C.T.I.O.N. is a mnemonic for Advanced Christian Training Inside Our Nation. We do our best to bring knowledge to pastors and Christian workers; knowledge which will help plant, nourish, and grow churches around the world. The Christian worker who is responsible for the work has to grow before a church can grow. No matter what your ministry office – apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, Christian worker – you must be a good steward of the intellectual faculties God has given you.
It amazes me how many people, even Christians, have the idea that they don’t need any more education after the age of 25 … and many, for sure, don’t think they do after the age of 50. I still engage myself in formal study every few years. Even at the time of this writing I go to a secular school and attend three classes of four (4) hours each (sometimes attending other classes). The reason I do this is twofold: 1. To be a good steward of what God has given me; and, 2. To sharpen my skills to enable me to reach more people for Christ.
I have been able, by God’s grace, to reach multitudes of people in many countries because of study that I did in formal educational institutions as well as independent study and research on my own. And this was all in addition to graduate theological seminaries I attended after earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (and in eleven other colleges and universities).
Don’t be afraid to augment your knowledge base. But remember this warning:
“Knowledge inflates our egos and makes proud, but love builds up.” [1 Corinthians 8:1 – my translation]
God may be dealing with you about going back to school. I have a friend who started a church in a ghetto area. He is one of the most spiritual and practical men I know, yet he has two (2) earned Ph.D. degrees. Sure, it takes time, effort, money, and sometimes sacrifice … but what doesn’t that’s worthwhile.
God may be dealing with you about quitting school. I have a friend – a man I ordained into the ministry over 20 years ago – who is also one of the most spiritual and practical men I know. He obeyed the Holy Spirit and dropped out of university to go to the nations of the world. The Spirit honored his obedience and uses him greatly in many countries.
Just make sure you obey what the Holy Spirit wants YOU to do, that He is leading you, and that you give Him the credit for any success! And … always be willing to study to obtain KNOWLEDGE, whether on your own or formally.
The more you KNOW … the more the Holy Spirit can use!
[] NETWORK
By working with other people and organizations you can greatly multiply and intensify your efforts in the Lord’s work. For clarity of definition, I am NOT talking about trying to meet people to receive contributions for your ministry. If the Lord is leading you to do that, that’s another matter; however, I purposely do not do that. I feel that the Lord can lead me to the people who would like to share in reaching the world for Christ, and that he can and will lead me to the people and organizations with whom He wants me to work.
Christians need to “brainstorm” more. Just because we know that God can give us ideas directly, doesn’t mean He might not want to use other people to “sharpen” the creative and thought processes with which He has endowed us.
Also, different people have different skills … and different skill levels! By working with and communicating with other people and organizations, you enhance the opportunities to refine and empower the ideas He has given you. One time I met with a group of engineers from Hughes Aircraft Corporation. In one of the Hughes divisions I had been invited to minister different times in both the engineering section and also the factory.
I had an idea that I knew was from God. I had been told – from one of the wildest and most creative people I knew – that the idea was too far out for them. That was my “sign” that the idea was from God. I met with the people from Hughes and we brainstormed about different aspects of getting the project off the ground. It definitely was something that could reach millions of people for Christ … and something (at least to my knowledge) that had never been done before.
As I became cognizant of the skills that each person in that group possessed, I assigned them different sectors of the project. Within days these men had each perfected and finished their respective assignments. That project reached some of the wealthiest Jews in the world – as well as multitudes of other people – in the center of the marketplace. I could probably never have done the project without the help and expertise of these men … and even if I could have … it would have taken much more time and money, and would not have been of the quality that our Lord deserves.

Ask God to lead you, or cross your path with, those people and organizations with whom He would like you to work. And don’t be concerned if the Lord does NOT lead you to others with whom to work. Many times, the Lord wants only YOU working on a particular project or ministry endeavor. The scriptures give us numerous examples of people who did great feats for God by themselves, with the anointing and leading of the Holy Spirit.
If you are going to network with other people, then choose your associates wisely. There is an old saying, “You are who you run with.” My mother many times told me, “Birds of a feather flock together.” After hearing that so many times in my life, I developed a simple axiom: “Don’t flock with stupid, unproductive, and lazy people.” And later in life, I honed that expression, “Don’t flock with people who don’t have a vision for reaching the world for Christ.” And even later: “Don’t flock with people who don’t honor the anointing.”
There’s another old saying, “If you lay down with dogs, you’re going to get fleas!” Associate with WINNERS … SOUL WINNERS! “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” [Daniel 12:3]
Networking is simply working with people to reach and help other people for Christ, and can take on a variety of creative expressions. It doesn’t just mean a Bible or evangelistic conference, although those are key things. Remember, God is “The Starter” … so ask Him to help you develop your creativity. If you’ve never been creative, then ask Him to START the creative process in your life and ministry to magnify His Son. Then pray, plan, and implement!
And most importantly, don’t disregard … or discard … IDEAS which God gives you. An idea may not be for you; it may be for someone else. As a good steward you should share ideas with appropriate people, unless God has told you to keep them confidential. An idea can be multiplied to reach millions for Christ and to build the kingdom of God; also, to help people in need. Many times, you may find that after sharing an idea, nobody picks up on it. That is, nobody acts on the idea; people may even think it’s a foolish idea (usually because it’s never been done). In those situations, God will probably show YOU how to do it … and bless you exceedingly!
[] TIME
You need anointed time to be GREATLY used by God. You need wisdom in the planning and use of your time. It is true that you’re living part of your eternal life now; however, life on this earth … and in this present body … is limited. If someone steals your time, they are, in effect, killing you. Why? Because they’re taking part of your life here on earth.
The Holy Bible tells us, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” [Ephesians 5:16]
The word for “redeem” here used is the Greek “exagorazo,” which means “ransom“. This scripture is literally telling us to “buy up the time“. We are to “ransom” the time; “rescue” the time from loss. We are to seize our opportunities eagerly and decisively!
There are several words for “time” in the Bible. There is “chronos” time, a segment of time … there is also a “season” of time … and there is “kairos” time, which is the word used in this passage. “Kairos” time is a set or proper time. It is an opportune season of time. A time that can pass you by if you do NOT seize the opportunity!
[] MONEY
You will find through the years that TIME, which we discussed above, and MONEY are inter-related. When you work for wages, you are selling your time, even if it is via your services. What is your time worth – to God, to your family, to the ones to whom you minister, and to yourself.
You will also find that TIME and STRENGTH, which we will discuss next, are inter-related. If you over extend your time to make money, then you are robbing God, your family, the ones to whom you minister, and yourself. When you steal time from yourself, you lose strength.
The Apostle Paul made tents as a source of income. He worked willingly with his hands so that he could give the gospel freely (with no charge). [Acts 20:33-35, 1 Corinthians 4:12]
You need to establish a consistent pattern of paying tithes and giving offerings to God and stay with it. The scripture teaches us that this is one way you can PROVE God. [Malachi 3:10-11]
If you are in a ministry position where your sole source of income is from contributions, love-offerings, or salary … or a combination of them … you still have to be watchful not to over extend your time in one area to the neglect of another area. You are still “selling” your time. For example, you have to prayerfully balance your time between the following:
Personal time with God;
Your family;
Those to whom you minister; and,
Yourself.
It is NOT the money which is the most important issue in your life. When you run out of time (when you die), money will do you no good. So when it comes to selling your time you must have a PLAN, both short-term and long-term:
A plan for maintaining your strength; and,
A plan for maintaining your ministry.
[] STRENGTH
To be used GREATLY by God, you need to maintain your health so yo will have strength and energy. One of the best things I can do for you in this line is to recommend that you go to “The Archives” of The Apostles Group and study the five (5) volume series “Health and Healing” (from September 15th through September 29th, 2002). Or you may go to www.realmiracles.com and select “Health” from the BLUE navigation bars on the left of any page. There you may study or print out the 32 page booklet.
If you’re walking closely with God, He will many times tell you things to change: in your life, or in your eating habits. God wants you healthy MORE than YOU want to be healthy! I remember one time six months before I was to go on an extended ministry trip overseas that God told me to get in shape. By His grace I lost 43 pounds in seven (7) weeks.
It was easy. I fasted, prayed, changed my eating habits, and exercised. If I hadn’t obeyed the voice of the Spirit, there were three times during that trip I could have over exerted my body. Even the natives told me they had said to one another, “How does he do it?” I even carried my bags and a native’s bags up a mountain!
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Treat it as such! Be a good steward of your body: for the sake of God, your family, others, and yourself! If you’re a young person, start practicing good nutritional habits now, as an investment for the future.
[] PLAN
If your plan fits into God’s plan
……. you will have God’s faith
………….. and God’s faith always works!
If I asked you to tell me specifically what it is that you want Christ to do through you in the next six months, five years, and 25 years, could you tell me? If not, you need to spend some time alone with God praying and fasting and receive some instructions: formulate your plan. One time while I was alone praying and fasting the Lord had $100,000 USD shoved under the door to me. There was a postage stamp on an envelope (from another country) showing a large wheat combine threshing the harvest!
If you don’t have a PLAN, how will you implement?
During this time alone, as you are receiving the instructions for your PLAN, be praying and receiving from the Holy Spirit the following:
TIME;
MONEY;
STRENGTH;
And … ask for an anointing from the Holy Spirit upon each of the above. The devil shudders – he is terribly afraid – of anointed time, anointed money, anointed strength … and anointed people.
Now … you know HOW to be used by God in a POWERFUL way!

THE STARTER – SEEING THE INVISIBLE
I call G-d “The Starter“. I imagine most people have asked the same question I have since childhood: “Who made G-d?” Even after telling people about Messiah Yeshua for 45 years I still ask Him that question occasionally. When I really get to meditating about the issue, I still ask My Heavenly Father, “How did You get here? You’re G-d, The Creator. Where did You come from … who made You?” And I always come up with the answer that G-d is “The Starter“!
Somebody or something had to be here in the beginning. Somebody or some thing had to make things for there to be a medium in which to exist. G-d, by the very definition of G-d, is omnipresent: He is everywhere. He is NOT limited by time, space, or any other dimension(s). G-d is “The Start” … and “The Starter”! Sometimes when I talk to Him I still call Him by the name of “The Starter”.
The Lord has asked me to teach you a principle that will allow you to SEE many more MIRACLES. This is a principle about which you have never before heard or read. The Ruach Ha Chodesh (the Holy Spirit) told me to teach you the principle of “The Starter – Seeing the Invisible” and to give you examples.
I used to have my wonderful mother make me peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I would take them down the alley and sit behind a neighbor’s garage and talk to Yeshua. I wanted to know “The Starter” but I didn’t know how, so I just talked to Yeshua whom I learned about by reading the Torah and the Brit Chadashah and also by attending a Sunday school at a local church.
When I was a little boy 11 years of age I prophesied that I would one day serve G-d and, also, that men would travel to the moon. (These were not considered possibilities then … neither the former nor the latter!) I was laughed at for that dual prophecy, but both parts were fulfilled years later.
I read the Holy Bible as a young boy, even though I was not born again. I read the Torah completely and all the New Covenant (Brit Chadashah) gospels, clear into the Book of Acts. I remember the Book of Acts as being so exciting!
I still don’t understand how He can be “The Starter” … but I know Him. And, I know His Son, Yeshua (Jesus), whom I met personally in a room one night when I was alone, by myself. I had carried a small booklet (a little red Bible portion) of scripture verses in my wallet for about 18 months. Every once in a while I would take the little Bible portion out and read it. One Saturday night I was reading the scripture from the Prophet Isaiah in the Tanakh:
“Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
I was overwhelmed with conviction for my sins, and I said: “Yeshua, if you are there, take my hand.” (I was on my bed and had lifted my hand in the air asking Yeshua to take hold of it.) I didn’t feel anyone take my hand, and so I got on my knees on the bed and reached up in the air again, and said the same thing. I didn’t feel anyone grab my hand and by this time I was weeping much. I thought I was so dirty that God wouldn’t take me or forgive me of my sins. Finally, reaching as high in the air as I could, I said something different: “Yeshua, I KNOW you are there, please save me.”
The next morning I was completely different. I couldn’t wait to go hear the Bible preached and went to a small church I had been to once before. I almost ran down the aisle at the invitation. A brother took me into a side room and showed me a scripture from the Jewish New Covenant (Ephesians 2:8-9):
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
I was so happy as I drove home that morning. Everything was different. The trees were different, the sky was different, everything was so beautiful … even my food tasted different. And my heart was so happy: my sins were forgiven, and I was on my journey to Heaven.
I followed the Lord’s command and participated in Mikvah (was baptized in water) about one month later. I knew what I was doing and wanted to be obedient to the Lord’s command. I figured that if I couldn’t obey Him in His first command, I probably wouldn’t be obedient in any others.
I started believing God for the salvation of my family and relatives and began actively talking to them about the Lord. Even though most of them were religious, I realized they were not truly born again by the Spirit as none of them ever talked about the Lord in a personal way, and none of them had assurance that if they died they would go to Heaven.
I prayed to “The Starter” and claimed a verse I found in the Brit Chadashah in Acts 16:31, which says: “Believe on the Lord Yeshua ha Meschiach, and you will be saved: you and your household.”
My mother, who had been in religious most of her life was first to be saved about one month after and then she was baptized. My brother, who had been my Sunday school teacher and who had been a trustee and a deacon for 14 years was next to be saved. (I never heard my brother curse at all in his whole life, I never knew him to mistreat a woman, and I never knew him to drink. He was a good brother and extremely moral and I have always been very proud of him; he was an excellent example to me.)
My brother lived in the wealthiest part of town; we had both graduated from the same college; he finished 10 years before. After he was saved, he was baptized, and quit three (3) of the secret orders he belonged to: The Masons, The Scottish Rite, and the Shrine. He also resigned from the private country club to which he belonged. He became a wonderful example of what G-d can do through a person; and turned many people to the Lord.
My sister, my nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles, cousins to the second cousins, and all seven (7) of my children, plus all seven (7) grandchildren know Yeshua, the Son of “The Starter“. I was the first one to be a born again believer in my family, even though almost all of my relatives were religious. You can believe G-d’s promises for the salvation of YOUR family. Moses told Pharaoh, “There shall not a hoof be left behind.” (Torah: Exodus 10:26) That’s what you need to tell the devil regarding the salvation of your loved ones! What a wonderful thing to know that all of your family will be in Heaven together!
Two medical doctors (in two different states of the USA) gave me laboratory results that I would (the same as) never have children. However, “The Starter” gave me seven children, all of whom know Him. I was the youngest and LAST son in my Father’s lineage and the only one to bear sons. So … G-d STARTED a NEW born again seed line in the lineage of my forefathers. My sons and daughters are all Spirit-filled soul winners. My daughters are very beautiful. They shine for the Lord. When thinking of them I often think of the verse in Job 42:15: “In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job.”
Before you can SEE G-d’s MIRACLES in a certain area, or domain of manifestation, you need to BELIEVE that He has that ability in His nature to perform in that specificity. For example, we read in Psalm 43:1 (probably written by Kind David), “O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.” At one time King Saul was hunting David to kill him (later, also, he tried with 3,000 men to catch and kill him). [1 Samuel Chapters 23 and 24]. “But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, ‘Hurry and come, for the Philistines have invaded the land’. Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David.” [Verses 27 and 28]
One aspect of deliverance is to realize that God can START situations at any time! This principle will help you SEE a lot more MIRACLES in your life and ministry. After I was told by two medical doctors that I couldn’t have children, G-d STARTED LIFE and gave me seven (7) children.
You need to SEE the invisible and BELIEVE G-d to START your MIRACLES. God is “The Starter”.
In John 11:39-45 we read about Yeshua raising Lazarus from the dead after he had been dead four days. Yeshua told them to take away the large stone on the mouth of the burial tomb, and said to Martha, “Didn’t I say to you, that, if you would BELIEVE, you would SEE the glory of G-d.” Then He prayed to the Father and said, “I know that You hear me always: but because of the people which stand by, I said it, that they may BELIEVE that you have sent me.” “Lazarus come forth.” “Loose him and let him go.”
There is a “cycle” of production AND propagation here. Meditate on this!
Your job: BELIEVE and you will SEE.
Result in people you’re serving: They will SEE and BELIEVE.
As a “believer” your job is to BELIEVE and then YOU will SEE … with the resultant effect that THOSE you serve will SEE MIRACLES and then BELIEVE.
You have to KNOW that G-d is “The Starter” and you have to SEE THE INVISIBLE IN FAITH. Then you BELIEVE and SEE the VISIBLE. Those around you will complete the cycle when they SEE the MIRACLES and they will BELIEVE G-d.
And … it doesn’t matter HOW G-d works … just so He works. For example, there was a young man in a perilous situation in Dothan who SAW dreams earlier given to him by “The Starter“; however the young mans’ deliverance and worldwide geo-political authority didn’t come to pass for 13 years. His name was Joseph. (Torah: Genesis Chapter 37)
There was another young man in Dothan, centuries later, who was in a perilous situation, but who received immediate deliverance by a host of holy angels. (Tanakh: 4 Kings 6:7)
“Elisha prayed and said, ‘Lord, I pray you, open his (the young man’s) eyes, that he may SEE. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he SAW: and behold the mountain was full of horses, and chariots of fire around Elisha.”
Remember … G-d can START situations at any time. Know this and believe it. See the invisible.
It doesn’t matter HOW G-d works … just so He works. He is “The Starter“!
What would you have “The Starter” do for you today? You don’t have to understand everything about Him. Stop trying to analyze Him … maybe you should stop trying to analyze the situation you’re in … and just BELIEVE!
If the finite could comprehend the infinite, then the infinite would be finite.
“Don’t be afraid; only believe.” (Brit Chadashah: Mark 5:36)

WHAT TO DO AFTER THE VICTORY – PART B
Immediately after the victory for which you have fought, prayed, and believed in faith, will subtly appear one of your most dangerous attacks from the enemy. It will NOT be like the attack(s) BEFORE your conquest: to discourage you, to make you afraid, to cause loss of integrity, loss of a loved one, or loss of possessions. All of which attacks you can defeat … and withstand … by living holy and living a life of faith and trust in God.
But this attack will be so delicate or precise as to be difficult to analyze or describe. You will not be capable, without discernment from God, of making fine distinctions as to the source of the attack. It will be overt and delicately complex. There will be put in place clever and indirect means by the enemy to achieve your downfall: spiritually, socially, materially, physically, and mentally … in that order.
This two-part newsletter is being written to instruct you as to how to offset this kind of attack, and to guard against it; also, to augment and solidify your recent victory, and to go on to higher and more productive accomplishments.
King Solomon tells us in the Book of Ecclesiastes that threefold cord is not easily broken. [Ecclesiastes 4:12] There are three things you can do to assure your maintenance of the victory and your own personal integrity. They are as follows:

In this newsletter we will discuss the second and third things you should do to assure the maintenance of your victory and your own personal integrity: Monitor the Victory; and, Plan for the Future.
[] MONITOR THE VICTORY
Is the business or ministry that was implemented as a result of the victory just accomplished helping people to grow? That is, is it making disciples for our Lord and, at the same time, advancing the kingdom of God? Are new synagogues and churches being raised up. Are you planning and praying for new churches and/or messianic synagogues to be raised up as a result of the business or ministry that was successfully implemented? If so, what will be your strategy for [harvesting AND] monitoring the new birthings that result from the victory?
Do you have literature prepared in the language(s) of the people or customers you will be reaching? What opportunities will be provided for the new believers to take part in your business or ministry so they may grow at optimum efficiency? (We’re NOT talking here about folding church bulletins!) How will you train the leaders of the movement?
Jesus wants you to give them “strong meat.” Not just salvation … but also enlargement. In the great commission He said to “teach them to observe ALL things I have commanded you …” [Matthew 28:18-20] That includes healing, forgiveness, casting out demons, prayer, fasting, love, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, unity, faith, and prosperity of resources.
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season.” [Matthew 24:45]
“For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” [Hebrews 5:12]
Do you have methodology in place whereby you can obtain feedback from the new wave of the harvest? How will you “take the pulse” of the new believers and the leaders in the movement or business so you can help them yield to the lordship of Christ. Do you have a system in place … a plan of action … to monitor and ensure that the new disciples are becoming disciples of Christ and NOT disciples of men.
What you do NOT need is for the enemy to trick you, and you find out up the road that false discipleship is taking place: the believers are falling prey to the (false) covering movement where they become disciples of men and lose their liberty to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. They become robots instead of creators! This happened in the 1970’s and was a strategy of Satan to destroy the evangelistic and prophetic ministry. I know of cases where people had to ask permission from the elders for such things as taking flowers to a sick person or evangelizing a university.
Let the Holy Spirit do what He wants; but you fast, pray, and plan. Some people spend much time planning and preparing for their own financial and legal matters, but hardly any time planning and preparing for the efficient mobilization of God’s people and the necessary logistics.
Do you have plans ahead of time to facilitate the new believers being directed into houses of worship … OR … to teach them how to start a new church or messianic synagogue?
When a new fellowship of believers is raised up, what should you look for? What ministry gifts does the Holy Spirit usually give to the new local body of believers before the ministry of apostle? How should the leaders be chosen? Will the new leaders know how and when to send out workers to other fields?
How will you make sure that the NEW MOVEMENT which results from the recent victory will be multiplied? Never be satisfied with production or harvest alone … but always pray for an ANOINTING OF MULTIPLICATION!

There are many subjects dealing with monitoring the harvest so you should examine each area of the RealMiracles website to derive the information relevant to the situation. For example, when I asked the questions above, “How should the leaders be chosen? Will the new leaders know how and when to send out workers to other fields?”, the answers are both subjective and objective.
If you study the scriptural pattern for new churches being established, you will see in Acts Chapter 13 that prophets and teachers were first called out by the Holy Spirit and then apostles sent forth. Study the Book of Acts and watch the scriptural pattern, an objective pattern laid out by the Holy Spirit. Also, notice how the apostles went back on subsequent journey(s) confirming the (souls of) the disciples.
However, there is “subjectivity” to the selection of leaders. You will see that the Holy Spirit “called” and then “sent forth” the apostles. In between the “calling” and the “sending forth” was the laying on of hands by the presbytery, ratifying the work of the Spirit. The aspect of “subjectivity” in the ordaining or choosing of leaders is of extreme importance. Let me give you an example.
While I was training pastors and Christian leaders in a jungle area, there were two predominant leaders. The brothers I knew who had been used by God to plant several churches in the area of that nation had two individuals in mind that they thought should be the leaders. However, the indigenous natives came to them and said, “They are not the leaders, it is someone else.” The leaders the people chose were the two that I had noticed.
[] PLAN FOR THE FUTURE
Jesus taught that we must be expedient concerning the harvest. It would be terrible mismanagement … extremely sinful … to allow the harvest to lay idle, and go unharvested: to allow it to rot.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.” [John 9:4]
“Do not say, There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest. But, look, I say to you, focus with your eyes, and put your attention on these fields, for they are already white, ready to harvest.” [John 4:35]
My mother used to say many times, “Make hay while the sun shines!” (In other words, when night comes it’s too late to work … take advantage of the situation NOW!)
After your victory is the time the enemy will do his best to allure you with: Fame; Fortune; Lust; and,
Deception of any kind.
Don’t let your guard down!
You are at your weakest point of defense right after your victory. That’s the time to “RSPS”: Rest; Stay under the anointing; Plan, stretch out in faith; and, Start implementing your plans for the NEXT victory. It may be related to the harvest of your present (recent) victory.
Rest for a short period. Use this time to reflect and give thanks to God, and those people who assisted you, for the victory. Pray God’s blessing on those who assisted you!
Stay under the anointing. Stay in the Word of God and prayer.
Plan. Use this period of rest to listen to God for the “skeletal” outline of your next project. Receive your plans from the Spirit. Then praise and thank Him in faith for the next victory!
Start. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you implement. Don’t wait until all the conditions are right before you start. Count the cost, but use faith. You can refine after you implement.
