DECISION, DETERMINATION, AND DESTINY
We received several requests recently after the teaching ezine titled The New You to do a writing on the Book of Ruth in the Tanakh (Old Testament). It never amazes me how the God of Israel has His eye on individuals and listens to their heart cry.
Several years ago a 14-year-old Arab girl named Neya wanted to know Issa (Yeshua in Hebrew, Jesus in English). At that time we distributed return mail business reply cards for people who wanted to study the Holy Bible by mail. People would then send the cards to us with their names and addresses. The postage on these cards was paid for by our office when received them at the post office.
The cards were only good, or honored, inside the USA. However, one day we received a card from a country in the Middle East. It had traveled from there, across the European continent, and to our post office box in the USA … with NO postage on it. I still remember the girl’s last name and address, but for confidentiality I will not reveal it. She finished the whole Bible course and became a wonderful believer in Messiah Yeshua. God knew that girl, where she lived and what she needed.
It was the same way with Ruth, who lived in Moab, which is present day Jordan.
In the days when the judges ruled (a period of backsliding for most of Israel) about 1300 to 1100 B.C., there was famine in the land of Israel. A man from Bethlehem, named Elimelech went to live in the land of Moab with his wife, Naomi, and their two sons. The two sons were named Mahlon and Chilion.
Elimelech’s name means “My God is King” and his wife’s name Naomi means “pleasant.” Mahlon’s name means “sickly” and Chilion’s name means “a mental or physical decline.” In other words, the sons were weak and puny. Bethlehem [Beit Lechem in Hebrew], of course, means “House of Bread.” If you want to order white bread in Hebrew you ask for lechem lavan; if you want dark bread, you ask for lechem shacor.
In the Bible, in the Tanakh (Old Testament), God refers to Moab as His washpot. “Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.” (Psalm 108:9)
We see right away in the first two verses of the Book of Ruth a warning. Don’t leave the place of promised blessing. Also, be constant in maintaining your testimony … you never know how it will affect other people. You are the only Bible some people read. Whenever Elimelech walked down the street, people would think: “Here comes a man whose God is King.” And yet, Elimelech, because of the famine he saw, left the promised place of blessing – the House of Bread – and went to Moab, the garbage can.
After living in Moab a while, Elimelech died, leaving behind Naomi and her two sons. The sons took wives of the women of Moab; one was named Orpah and the other Ruth. And they lived there about ten years. Then both Mahlon and Chilion died, leaving behind Naomi and her two daughters-in-law. Later, Naomi heard that the LORD had attended His people in Bethlehem by giving them bread; the famine was over. So Naomi started to return to her homeland.
She told her two daughters-in-law to return to their mothers. But they said, “No, we will surely return with you to your people.” But Naomi answered them, “Turn back … are there any more sons in my womb that they may be your husbands?” Under the Law of God a man could take his brother’s widow as his wife so that seed (children) could be raised up in his brother’s name, and his brother’s name not be put out of Israel.
Naomi told them, “I’m too old to get married again, and even if I were to get married, would you wait until I have sons and they grow up so you can marry them?” So Orpah kissed her mother-in-law and said “God be with you“ but Ruth clung to her mother-in-law. Ruth told Naomi, “Wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you live, I will live. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.”
So the two of them returned to Bethlehem. When Naomi and Ruth arrived in Bethlehem, the women recognized Naomi. The women said, “Is this Naomi?” But Naomi told them, “Don’t call me Naomi [pleasant]; call me Mara [bitter], for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty.” Now they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest. (Ruth Chapter One)
DECISION
Ruth’s life, and the future blessing of people in every nation of the world, was about to be influenced dynamically . . . eternally. Why? Because of Ruth’s decision! There were three (3) attributes of Ruth’s life that propelled her from poverty to status as a world class influence. These attributes all had the same underpinning: willingness.
Ruth manifested a disposition, a willingness – whether as an acquired habit or as a characteristic tendency – to be able:
1. To change;
2. To learn; and,
3. To receive.
Ruth didn’t appear to be afraid to make a CHANGE. If she was afraid, her trust in Israel’s God, the God of Naomi, helped her make the decision. Naomi must have been a wonderful testimony to her daughters-in-law.
Don’t be afraid to leave your “comfort zone”. If Ruth had not left her comfort zone, none of the blessings that eventually overtook her would have happened.
There are three important principles that need to be considered in any aspect of decision making:
What effect will this decision have on others?
What effect will this decision have on my future?
What good (or, bad) can come from this decision?
In short, they can all be summed up in one principle: “What does Yeshua want ME to do?”
Sometimes we have to make a fast decision (or, we think we do). This is why we need to make sure we’re constantly walking in the Spirit and listening to the Spirit. This is done daily by:
1) Reading God’s Word;
2) Praying; and,
3) Forgiving.
Start your day with the Holy Bible and prayer.
One very important thing to realize is that even “minor” decisions influence “major” decisions later in time; by virtue of the fact of “habit-making” or “habit-forming” patterns. Actions build patterns, and patterns build habits. (Also, habits build personalities!)
Another thing we need to realize is that contrary to modern educational philosophy, there is always a “right” or “wrong” decision? Even if you consider that one decision may be better (or, worse) than another … there is still only one BEST decision. This is why we need God’s wisdom.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and does not blame for asking; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)
We have made this too difficult – if you ask, God gives you wisdom! If you’re walking in the Word of God, most of the time you won’t have to ask for wisdom: God’s Word is wisdom! That’s why it’s important to read the proverbs daily (in addition to your other Bible reading).
Seeking wisdom in ordinary matters is just as important as seeking God for direction, even though it may not seem so. Again, the little decisions add up to BIG ones and build a “habit pattern” over a period of time. Strive for quality decisions, even in little matters. The COMPOSITE of the large MAJOR decisions in our lives is usually the summation of the smaller minor decisions and habit-patterns we have formed along life’s way.
DETERMINATION
Ruth was thrust into a place where it was NECESSARY for her to LEARN. She had to learn a new culture, a new religion, and a new way of sustenance or income. If she had not been WILLING to learn – or had the DETERMINATION to learn – she would not have succeeded. Never grow too old to learn!
She was determined to go through, no matter what it took or how difficult it would be. And you will go through, my friend, if you have that same determination and trust in God. You’re going to go through!
There was a relative of Naomi’s deceased husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz. He was a powerful man of good social standing and prosperous.
Ruth had asked her mother-in-law to allow her to go into the field and glean heads of grain in the sight of whomever she would find favor. Under the Law of God, farmers were required to leave the corners of their fields so that the poor could harvest them. (See Torah: Leviticus 19:9 and 23:22; also, Deuteronomy 24:19)
“And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.” (Ruth 2:3)
So Ruth went with Naomi’s permission to glean and she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz. The Hebrew word “miqreh” used for hap (or, happening) here means “a chance event, or fortune“. In other words, it was by God’s design that she landed in the field of Boaz. But notice … if she had NOT made the right DECISION to come back with her mother-in-law … and if she had NOT been DETERMINED to work … she would NOT have been in the right place at the right time!
There is a spiritual place of blessing … and a geographical place of blessing. Psalm 37:3 tells us: “Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and truly you shall be fed.”
Read Psalm 37. Notice that if you do four things:
1. Trust in the Lord;
2. Do good;
3. Delight in (enjoy) the Lord; and,
4. Commit (or, rollover) your concerns to the Lord.
Then, you will:
1. Dwell in the land;
2. Feed on God’s faithfulness;
3. Receive the desires of your heart.
Notice, these verses in Psalm 37 show you a place of blessing for both living and working: spiritually and geographically. This is what God gave Adam in the garden of Eden, a beautiful place to live and work – but because of sin, it was forfeited, or lost. (Read Torah: Genesis Chapters Two and Three.)
There is a “spiritual” place of blessing for you, and a “geographic” place of blessing. In other words, there is a ministry God has for you – a SERVICE to people – and a PLACE where God wants you to minister, or serve.
If you are shooting films, or teaching, or serving the homeless in Lome, Togo … and God wants you in Accra, Ghana … people will still be helped and God will still perform His Holy Word; however, the blessing in your personal life will not be as great because you are NOT where God wants you!
When Boaz came to the field that day, he said to his reapers, “The Lord be with you!” And they answered him, “The Lord bless you!” What an example for employer-employee relations! Then Boaz looked around the field … and saw Ruth. He then said, “Whose young woman is this?” I think he said in the vernacular of the day: “Who is that chick?” Or, “Wow, who is that and where did she come from?”
Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Do not go to glean in another field, nor go away from here.” At lunch time Boaz invited Ruth to eat with him and the reapers. After lunch, Boaz commanded his young men to purposely let grain fall in front of her so she could glean it.
When Ruth returned home that night, she showed her mother-in-law what she had gleaned. It was about four gallons (18 litres in the UK and 15 liters in the US). Naomi was amazed and said, “Blessed is the man who took notice of you.” Ruth told her it was Boaz, and then Naomi told Ruth that Boaz was a close relative: a “goalenu” in Hebrew, which means a “redeemer” or “kinsman-redeemer“. You can read about the “kinsman-redeemer” in Torah: Leviticus 25:25, 47-55.
DESTINY
The next night, Ruth’s mother-in-law told her to put her best dress on, wash and anoint herself (put on her perfume) … look nice for Boaz … and go to the threshing floor that night. By the Law of God, the nearest of kin could buy the land of a widow (if she so willed) and, also, marry the widow of the deceased.
That night, after Boaz had eaten and drunk and his heart was cheerful, Ruth went quietly and laid down by his feet. At midnight he discovered that a woman was lying at his feet. He said, “Who are you?” She answered, “I am Ruth … take your maidservant under your wing, for you are a close relative.” What she was actually saying was, “Spread the corner of your garment over your maid servant, Redeemer.” [Hebrew:"goel"] The culture of that day involved the practice of the casting of the garment over the woman being claimed for marriage, and had no reference to any immoral action.
As mentioned above, by the Law of God, the “goel” – the kinsman redeemer – could buy the land of a widow (if she so willed) and, also, marry the widow of the deceased. However, there were certain qualifications:
1. He had to be WILLING to perform the responsibility, or action.
2. He had to have the money to PAY THE PRICE.
3. He had to be a BLOOD relative.
In the same way, Yeshua Ha Meshiach – Yeshua, the Messiah – was our kinsman redeemer:
1. Yeshua was WILLING to redeem us.
2. Yeshua PAID our price with His own sinless BLOOD on the stake cross.
3. Yeshua was the Son of Man and the Son of God: He was our REDEEMER.
Probably because Boaz was older he would have not approached Ruth about taking her as wife. Naomi, knowing this, coached Ruth as to how to approach the matter. Ruth was probably attractive, for Boaz said to her: “Blessed are you of the Lord, my daughter. For you have shown more kindness at the end than at the beginning, since you did not follow young men, whether they were poor or rich.” (Ruth 3:10)
We know that Ruth was a virtuous woman because of Boaz’ statement: ” … for all the people of my town know that you are a virtuous woman.” (Ruth 3:11) Boaz was willing to give money to Naomi for any property that pertained to her from Elimelech, and also willing to marry Ruth. However, there was a relative nearer than him who had the right of first redemption.
So here was Ruth, as a result of a major decision, living in a new land, immersed in a new culture, and trusting in her new God: the God of Israel. She was in a perfect place to RECEIVE God’s blessings!
When Ruth came home that next morning she had six ephahs of barley – about 85 pounds or 38 kilograms – which Boaz had instructed her to give to Naomi. Ruth had stayed all night at the threshing floor and Boaz probably had a triple reason for giving her the grain:
1. It gave an apparent reason for Ruth’s being with him to those who might have harbored bad thoughts about Ruth being with him;
2. It was a sign that Boaz would take care of her in the future; and,
3. It was, in a sense, a sort of dowery (or bride wealth) as a sign to Naomi.
Boaz told Ruth, “Do not go empty-handed to your mother-in-law.” (Verse 17)
When Ruth returned to Naomi that morning, Naomi asked: “Who are you, my daughter?” The Hebrew word for “Who” used here is “miy” and is an interrogative pronoun of persons. I believe it was a play on words, and that Naomi was actually asking Ruth: “Are you Mrs. Boaz?” … or … “Are you getting married?” Context also seems to bear this out as Naomi then said to Ruth: “Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out; for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.” (Ruth 3:18)
The next day Boaz went to the gate of the city, where the elders confirmed legal transactions. He met with 10 elders plus the Naomi’s nearest relative, who had the first right of redemption. He offered the nearest relative the option … but at the same time he reminded him that he would have to marry Ruth as part of the package. Then the man did not want to perform the redemption. He said, “I will mar my inheritance.” He may have had previous commitments as to inheritance for his own family members, or he may have been racially prejudicial, since Ruth was a Moabite.
Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s, and all that was Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi. Moreover, Ruth, the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, I have acquired as my wife.”
So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he went into her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son whose name was Obed, who was the father of Jesse, who was the father of King David, from whose seed line the Messiah Yeshua was born!
I wonder, today, are you bound in a situation that looks impossible? Do you feel that there is no way that the vision you have in your heart will ever come to pass? Is the devil telling you that God’s destiny for your life will never be implemented. Don’t believe that lie!
Remember:
Ruth was shut out: by society and by the Law.
Ruth experienced great loss and sadness.
Ruth left her comfort zone.
Ruth experienced great cultural change.
Ruth was not ashamed to do menial work.
Ruth pledged allegiance to Israel’s God.
Ruth found favor with God and man.
Ruth was blessed with a new family and mate.
Ruth was liberated permanently.
Ruth was blessed with wealth.
Ruth became the progenitor of Messiah and his seed line.
God can turn your situation around, too. You see, Ruth was shut out by the Law of God because she was a Moabite. The Moabites did not help Israel with bread and water when they came out of Egypt. They also hired Balaam to curse Israel, which God turned into a blessing, because God loves Israel. (Deuteronomy 23:3-5)
Just as God turned the curse against Israel into a blessing … and just as God turned the exclusion of Ruth into the inclusion of His people, and into the royal seed line from which came Yeshua (Jesus), the Deliverer of the world … so God can turn your situation around.
Make the right DECISION today …
….. have DETERMINATION to change, to learn, to receive …
……… believe God to help you fulfill your DESTINY!

HOW TO BE USED BY GOD IN A POWERFUL WAY
If you’re going to be used GREATLY by God, there are eight (8) things you will need.
Three (3) of the eight you MUST HAVE.
One (1) of the eight will help you IMMENSELY.
Four (4) of the eight you USUALLY NEED but probably won’t have UNLESS you pray and fast.
These four can make the difference between being successful or NOT accomplishing GREAT achievements for God!
The three (3) things you MUST have:

[] Wisdom
[] Knowledge
The one thing which will help you IMMENSELY:
[] Network
The four things you USUALLY NEED are as follows:
[] Time
[] Money
[] Strength
[] Plan
It is the purpose of this teaching to instruct you as to HOW to obtain all eight of the above, and thereby be in a position to be GREATLY USED BY GOD.

[] THE ANOINTING
The Holy Spirit is your best friend. Spend much time with Him. Yes, I know He lives inside you if your human spirit has had a definite spiritual “jump start”: born again. But just because someone is a guest in your house … or even lives there … doesn’t mean you spend time with them. It’s the same way with the Holy Spirit.
Before I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues (received my heavenly language) I had sense enough to ask the Holy Spirit to “breathe on me” (to anoint me) before I would preach, and even before I would witness. I saw people come to Christ in great numbers in and outside of the USA.
Now I ask the Holy Spirit to anoint my writing and the various projects the Lord would have me undertake. When we produce social media releases, send out videos, cassettes, CD’s, literature, and workers (ministers) we lay hands on them and speak the BLOOD of Christ over them. We ask the Holy Spirit to anoint them: to save, heal, deliver, empower, and prosper the people receiving the ministry of the items or workers being sent out.
When I was a new Christian, I attended a Sword of the Lord Conference (one of the many I was privileged to attend) with great soul-winning ministers like Dr. John R. Rice. One evening Dr. Rice laid hands on me and prayed this prayer: “Father, breathe the breath of God on this young man for soul-winning power.” Within 15 minutes I led a person to Christ while I stopped to buy gasoline (petrol) for my automobile. That was the start of years of wonderful soul-winning adventures.
Since that time the Lord has taught me to ask for an anointing by the Spirit for multiplication upon my labors so that the results of the ministry will be multiplied: new churches and Messianic synagogues being raised up in every neighborhood, village, and community of the earth.
Ask the Holy Spirit to breathe on you. Talk to Him. Walk closely with Him. Ask for the anointing when you minister. Tell the Holy Spirit you need Him. Then, after the MIRACLES take place, give the Holy Spirit all the credit. Acknowledge to the crowds you’re ministering to that it was the Holy Spirit who did the work. It is the Holy Spirit who supplies the resurrection power of Christ on earth! Get alone immediately after you minister and tell your best friend – the Holy Spirit – that you know it was Him who did it!
[] WISDOM
Wisdom is the body of knowledge and experience gained – or developed – within a specified period or society. Practically speaking, wisdom is knowledge in action. The Holy Bible tells us how to initiate this process of development:
“The FEAR of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” [Proverbs 1:7 and 9:10]
I was thinking the other day of a prominent minister who fell into sin, was sentenced to prison, and later repented. He said that in all the time he was sinning that he never forgot that God loved him. But he said that his problem was that he forgot the FEAR of God!
We are so blessed to be the recipients of God’s love, mercy, and grace that we often forget His greatness and authority. We need to practice DAILY repentance and humility before the one “who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.” [Matthew 10:28]
On the other end of the spectrum, God’s wisdom will cause us to be slow to judge.
There are certain conditions of immorality laid down in the Bible which require us to impose church discipline. [1 Corinthians Chapters 5 and 6]. In this life we are to make certain judgments in relation to fellow believers as required by Scripture. In the next life, however, we will judge the world, and even angels. [1 Corinthians 5:12 and 6:2-3]
The FEAR of the LORD should cause us to be very slow to judge, and only then with NO acrimonious intent. There should be NO exhibition of strong animosity or resentment. But the FEAR of the LORD should cause us to judge in love, seeking the good of the person being disciplined. Why? Because this is the nature of our Father and we are to manifest His nature.
We, of all people on the earth, should consider where we came from … none of us were perfect. None of us were clean before God. If God were to mark offenses, who would stand? If it weren’t for Jesus, we would all be in a pit like Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. [Numbers 16:33]
“Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.” [Romans 14:4]
We have enough “beams” and “timber” in our own eyes to be removed before we attempt to remove the straw from our brother’s eye.
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” [ Matthew 7:3]
The FEAR of the LORD is the BEGINNING of WISDOM. It will cause us to act with controlled moderation in our own lives, as well as cause us to be SLOW to judge others, and then only out of LOVE for the one(s) being disciplined – true love, not a false love that only appears loving outwardly – seeking the benefit of the one(s) being disciplined.
“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.” [Proverbs 15:33]
This kind of wisdom will cause us to be humble and will ultimately bring us into honor where we can be USED GREATLY by God.
[] KNOWLEDGE
Wisdom is knowledge in action. By reading God’s Word, we know about God and what He wants … we learn His principles, also. When we have great reverence for our Heavenly Father, we desire to do what pleases Him, and begin to apply the knowledge we have from and about Him.
For decades I have conducted A.C.T.I.O.N. Seminars in different countries. A.C.T.I.O.N. is a mnemonic for Advanced Christian Training Inside Our Nation. We do our best to bring knowledge to pastors and Christian workers; knowledge which will help plant, nourish, and grow churches around the world. The Christian worker who is responsible for the work has to grow before a church can grow. No matter what your ministry office – apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, Christian worker – you must be a good steward of the intellectual faculties God has given you.
It amazes me how many people, even Christians, have the idea that they don’t need any more education after the age of 25 … and many, for sure, don’t think they do after the age of 50. I still engage myself in formal study every few years. Even at the time of this writing I go to a secular school and attend three classes of four (4) hours each (sometimes attending other classes). The reason I do this is twofold: 1. To be a good steward of what God has given me; and, 2. To sharpen my skills to enable me to reach more people for Christ.
I have been able, by God’s grace, to reach multitudes of people in many countries because of study that I did in formal educational institutions as well as independent study and research on my own. And this was all in addition to graduate theological seminaries I attended after earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (and in eleven other colleges and universities).
Don’t be afraid to augment your knowledge base. But remember this warning:
“Knowledge inflates our egos and makes proud, but love builds up.” [1 Corinthians 8:1 – my translation]
God may be dealing with you about going back to school. I have a friend who started a church in a ghetto area. He is one of the most spiritual and practical men I know, yet he has two (2) earned Ph.D. degrees. Sure, it takes time, effort, money, and sometimes sacrifice … but what doesn’t that’s worthwhile.
God may be dealing with you about quitting school. I have a friend – a man I ordained into the ministry over 20 years ago – who is also one of the most spiritual and practical men I know. He obeyed the Holy Spirit and dropped out of university to go to the nations of the world. The Spirit honored his obedience and uses him greatly in many countries.
Just make sure you obey what the Holy Spirit wants YOU to do, that He is leading you, and that you give Him the credit for any success! And … always be willing to study to obtain KNOWLEDGE, whether on your own or formally.
The more you KNOW … the more the Holy Spirit can use!
[] NETWORK
By working with other people and organizations you can greatly multiply and intensify your efforts in the Lord’s work. For clarity of definition, I am NOT talking about trying to meet people to receive contributions for your ministry. If the Lord is leading you to do that, that’s another matter; however, I purposely do not do that. I feel that the Lord can lead me to the people who would like to share in reaching the world for Christ, and that he can and will lead me to the people and organizations with whom He wants me to work.
Christians need to “brainstorm” more. Just because we know that God can give us ideas directly, doesn’t mean He might not want to use other people to “sharpen” the creative and thought processes with which He has endowed us.
Also, different people have different skills … and different skill levels! By working with and communicating with other people and organizations, you enhance the opportunities to refine and empower the ideas He has given you. One time I met with a group of engineers from Hughes Aircraft Corporation. In one of the Hughes divisions I had been invited to minister different times in both the engineering section and also the factory.
I had an idea that I knew was from God. I had been told – from one of the wildest and most creative people I knew – that the idea was too far out for them. That was my “sign” that the idea was from God. I met with the people from Hughes and we brainstormed about different aspects of getting the project off the ground. It definitely was something that could reach millions of people for Christ … and something (at least to my knowledge) that had never been done before.
As I became cognizant of the skills that each person in that group possessed, I assigned them different sectors of the project. Within days these men had each perfected and finished their respective assignments. That project reached some of the wealthiest Jews in the world – as well as multitudes of other people – in the center of the marketplace. I could probably never have done the project without the help and expertise of these men … and even if I could have … it would have taken much more time and money, and would not have been of the quality that our Lord deserves.

Ask God to lead you, or cross your path with, those people and organizations with whom He would like you to work. And don’t be concerned if the Lord does NOT lead you to others with whom to work. Many times, the Lord wants only YOU working on a particular project or ministry endeavor. The scriptures give us numerous examples of people who did great feats for God by themselves, with the anointing and leading of the Holy Spirit.
If you are going to network with other people, then choose your associates wisely. There is an old saying, “You are who you run with.” My mother many times told me, “Birds of a feather flock together.” After hearing that so many times in my life, I developed a simple axiom: “Don’t flock with stupid, unproductive, and lazy people.” And later in life, I honed that expression, “Don’t flock with people who don’t have a vision for reaching the world for Christ.” And even later: “Don’t flock with people who don’t honor the anointing.”
There’s another old saying, “If you lay down with dogs, you’re going to get fleas!” Associate with WINNERS … SOUL WINNERS! “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” [Daniel 12:3]
Networking is simply working with people to reach and help other people for Christ, and can take on a variety of creative expressions. It doesn’t just mean a Bible or evangelistic conference, although those are key things. Remember, God is “The Starter” … so ask Him to help you develop your creativity. If you’ve never been creative, then ask Him to START the creative process in your life and ministry to magnify His Son. Then pray, plan, and implement!
And most importantly, don’t disregard … or discard … IDEAS which God gives you. An idea may not be for you; it may be for someone else. As a good steward you should share ideas with appropriate people, unless God has told you to keep them confidential. An idea can be multiplied to reach millions for Christ and to build the kingdom of God; also, to help people in need. Many times, you may find that after sharing an idea, nobody picks up on it. That is, nobody acts on the idea; people may even think it’s a foolish idea (usually because it’s never been done). In those situations, God will probably show YOU how to do it … and bless you exceedingly!
[] TIME
You need anointed time to be GREATLY used by God. You need wisdom in the planning and use of your time. It is true that you’re living part of your eternal life now; however, life on this earth … and in this present body … is limited. If someone steals your time, they are, in effect, killing you. Why? Because they’re taking part of your life here on earth.
The Holy Bible tells us, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” [Ephesians 5:16]
The word for “redeem” here used is the Greek “exagorazo,” which means “ransom“. This scripture is literally telling us to “buy up the time“. We are to “ransom” the time; “rescue” the time from loss. We are to seize our opportunities eagerly and decisively!
There are several words for “time” in the Bible. There is “chronos” time, a segment of time … there is also a “season” of time … and there is “kairos” time, which is the word used in this passage. “Kairos” time is a set or proper time. It is an opportune season of time. A time that can pass you by if you do NOT seize the opportunity!
[] MONEY
You will find through the years that TIME, which we discussed above, and MONEY are inter-related. When you work for wages, you are selling your time, even if it is via your services. What is your time worth – to God, to your family, to the ones to whom you minister, and to yourself.
You will also find that TIME and STRENGTH, which we will discuss next, are inter-related. If you over extend your time to make money, then you are robbing God, your family, the ones to whom you minister, and yourself. When you steal time from yourself, you lose strength.
The Apostle Paul made tents as a source of income. He worked willingly with his hands so that he could give the gospel freely (with no charge). [Acts 20:33-35, 1 Corinthians 4:12]
You need to establish a consistent pattern of paying tithes and giving offerings to God and stay with it. The scripture teaches us that this is one way you can PROVE God. [Malachi 3:10-11]
If you are in a ministry position where your sole source of income is from contributions, love-offerings, or salary … or a combination of them … you still have to be watchful not to over extend your time in one area to the neglect of another area. You are still “selling” your time. For example, you have to prayerfully balance your time between the following:
Personal time with God;
Your family;
Those to whom you minister; and,
Yourself.
It is NOT the money which is the most important issue in your life. When you run out of time (when you die), money will do you no good. So when it comes to selling your time you must have a PLAN, both short-term and long-term:
A plan for maintaining your strength; and,
A plan for maintaining your ministry.
[] STRENGTH
To be used GREATLY by God, you need to maintain your health so yo will have strength and energy. One of the best things I can do for you in this line is to recommend that you go to “The Archives” of The Apostles Group and study the five (5) volume series “Health and Healing” (from September 15th through September 29th, 2002). Or you may go to www.realmiracles.com and select “Health” from the BLUE navigation bars on the left of any page. There you may study or print out the 32 page booklet.
If you’re walking closely with God, He will many times tell you things to change: in your life, or in your eating habits. God wants you healthy MORE than YOU want to be healthy! I remember one time six months before I was to go on an extended ministry trip overseas that God told me to get in shape. By His grace I lost 43 pounds in seven (7) weeks.
It was easy. I fasted, prayed, changed my eating habits, and exercised. If I hadn’t obeyed the voice of the Spirit, there were three times during that trip I could have over exerted my body. Even the natives told me they had said to one another, “How does he do it?” I even carried my bags and a native’s bags up a mountain!
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Treat it as such! Be a good steward of your body: for the sake of God, your family, others, and yourself! If you’re a young person, start practicing good nutritional habits now, as an investment for the future.
[] PLAN
If your plan fits into God’s plan
……. you will have God’s faith
………….. and God’s faith always works!
If I asked you to tell me specifically what it is that you want Christ to do through you in the next six months, five years, and 25 years, could you tell me? If not, you need to spend some time alone with God praying and fasting and receive some instructions: formulate your plan. One time while I was alone praying and fasting the Lord had $100,000 USD shoved under the door to me. There was a postage stamp on an envelope (from another country) showing a large wheat combine threshing the harvest!
If you don’t have a PLAN, how will you implement?
During this time alone, as you are receiving the instructions for your PLAN, be praying and receiving from the Holy Spirit the following:
TIME;
MONEY;
STRENGTH;
And … ask for an anointing from the Holy Spirit upon each of the above. The devil shudders – he is terribly afraid – of anointed time, anointed money, anointed strength … and anointed people.
Now … you know HOW to be used by God in a POWERFUL way!

THE STARTER – SEEING THE INVISIBLE
I call G-d “The Starter“. I imagine most people have asked the same question I have since childhood: “Who made G-d?” Even after telling people about Messiah Yeshua for 45 years I still ask Him that question occasionally. When I really get to meditating about the issue, I still ask My Heavenly Father, “How did You get here? You’re G-d, The Creator. Where did You come from … who made You?” And I always come up with the answer that G-d is “The Starter“!
Somebody or something had to be here in the beginning. Somebody or some thing had to make things for there to be a medium in which to exist. G-d, by the very definition of G-d, is omnipresent: He is everywhere. He is NOT limited by time, space, or any other dimension(s). G-d is “The Start” … and “The Starter”! Sometimes when I talk to Him I still call Him by the name of “The Starter”.
The Lord has asked me to teach you a principle that will allow you to SEE many more MIRACLES. This is a principle about which you have never before heard or read. The Ruach Ha Chodesh (the Holy Spirit) told me to teach you the principle of “The Starter – Seeing the Invisible” and to give you examples.
I used to have my wonderful mother make me peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I would take them down the alley and sit behind a neighbor’s garage and talk to Yeshua. I wanted to know “The Starter” but I didn’t know how, so I just talked to Yeshua whom I learned about by reading the Torah and the Brit Chadashah and also by attending a Sunday school at a local church.
When I was a little boy 11 years of age I prophesied that I would one day serve G-d and, also, that men would travel to the moon. (These were not considered possibilities then … neither the former nor the latter!) I was laughed at for that dual prophecy, but both parts were fulfilled years later.
I read the Holy Bible as a young boy, even though I was not born again. I read the Torah completely and all the New Covenant (Brit Chadashah) gospels, clear into the Book of Acts. I remember the Book of Acts as being so exciting!
I still don’t understand how He can be “The Starter” … but I know Him. And, I know His Son, Yeshua (Jesus), whom I met personally in a room one night when I was alone, by myself. I had carried a small booklet (a little red Bible portion) of scripture verses in my wallet for about 18 months. Every once in a while I would take the little Bible portion out and read it. One Saturday night I was reading the scripture from the Prophet Isaiah in the Tanakh:
“Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
I was overwhelmed with conviction for my sins, and I said: “Yeshua, if you are there, take my hand.” (I was on my bed and had lifted my hand in the air asking Yeshua to take hold of it.) I didn’t feel anyone take my hand, and so I got on my knees on the bed and reached up in the air again, and said the same thing. I didn’t feel anyone grab my hand and by this time I was weeping much. I thought I was so dirty that God wouldn’t take me or forgive me of my sins. Finally, reaching as high in the air as I could, I said something different: “Yeshua, I KNOW you are there, please save me.”
The next morning I was completely different. I couldn’t wait to go hear the Bible preached and went to a small church I had been to once before. I almost ran down the aisle at the invitation. A brother took me into a side room and showed me a scripture from the Jewish New Covenant (Ephesians 2:8-9):
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
I was so happy as I drove home that morning. Everything was different. The trees were different, the sky was different, everything was so beautiful … even my food tasted different. And my heart was so happy: my sins were forgiven, and I was on my journey to Heaven.
I followed the Lord’s command and participated in Mikvah (was baptized in water) about one month later. I knew what I was doing and wanted to be obedient to the Lord’s command. I figured that if I couldn’t obey Him in His first command, I probably wouldn’t be obedient in any others.
I started believing God for the salvation of my family and relatives and began actively talking to them about the Lord. Even though most of them were religious, I realized they were not truly born again by the Spirit as none of them ever talked about the Lord in a personal way, and none of them had assurance that if they died they would go to Heaven.
I prayed to “The Starter” and claimed a verse I found in the Brit Chadashah in Acts 16:31, which says: “Believe on the Lord Yeshua ha Meschiach, and you will be saved: you and your household.”
My mother, who had been in religious most of her life was first to be saved about one month after and then she was baptized. My brother, who had been my Sunday school teacher and who had been a trustee and a deacon for 14 years was next to be saved. (I never heard my brother curse at all in his whole life, I never knew him to mistreat a woman, and I never knew him to drink. He was a good brother and extremely moral and I have always been very proud of him; he was an excellent example to me.)
My brother lived in the wealthiest part of town; we had both graduated from the same college; he finished 10 years before. After he was saved, he was baptized, and quit three (3) of the secret orders he belonged to: The Masons, The Scottish Rite, and the Shrine. He also resigned from the private country club to which he belonged. He became a wonderful example of what G-d can do through a person; and turned many people to the Lord.
My sister, my nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles, cousins to the second cousins, and all seven (7) of my children, plus all seven (7) grandchildren know Yeshua, the Son of “The Starter“. I was the first one to be a born again believer in my family, even though almost all of my relatives were religious. You can believe G-d’s promises for the salvation of YOUR family. Moses told Pharaoh, “There shall not a hoof be left behind.” (Torah: Exodus 10:26) That’s what you need to tell the devil regarding the salvation of your loved ones! What a wonderful thing to know that all of your family will be in Heaven together!
Two medical doctors (in two different states of the USA) gave me laboratory results that I would (the same as) never have children. However, “The Starter” gave me seven children, all of whom know Him. I was the youngest and LAST son in my Father’s lineage and the only one to bear sons. So … G-d STARTED a NEW born again seed line in the lineage of my forefathers. My sons and daughters are all Spirit-filled soul winners. My daughters are very beautiful. They shine for the Lord. When thinking of them I often think of the verse in Job 42:15: “In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job.”
Before you can SEE G-d’s MIRACLES in a certain area, or domain of manifestation, you need to BELIEVE that He has that ability in His nature to perform in that specificity. For example, we read in Psalm 43:1 (probably written by Kind David), “O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.” At one time King Saul was hunting David to kill him (later, also, he tried with 3,000 men to catch and kill him). [1 Samuel Chapters 23 and 24]. “But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, ‘Hurry and come, for the Philistines have invaded the land’. Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David.” [Verses 27 and 28]
One aspect of deliverance is to realize that God can START situations at any time! This principle will help you SEE a lot more MIRACLES in your life and ministry. After I was told by two medical doctors that I couldn’t have children, G-d STARTED LIFE and gave me seven (7) children.
You need to SEE the invisible and BELIEVE G-d to START your MIRACLES. God is “The Starter”.
In John 11:39-45 we read about Yeshua raising Lazarus from the dead after he had been dead four days. Yeshua told them to take away the large stone on the mouth of the burial tomb, and said to Martha, “Didn’t I say to you, that, if you would BELIEVE, you would SEE the glory of G-d.” Then He prayed to the Father and said, “I know that You hear me always: but because of the people which stand by, I said it, that they may BELIEVE that you have sent me.” “Lazarus come forth.” “Loose him and let him go.”
There is a “cycle” of production AND propagation here. Meditate on this!
Your job: BELIEVE and you will SEE.
Result in people you’re serving: They will SEE and BELIEVE.
As a “believer” your job is to BELIEVE and then YOU will SEE … with the resultant effect that THOSE you serve will SEE MIRACLES and then BELIEVE.
You have to KNOW that G-d is “The Starter” and you have to SEE THE INVISIBLE IN FAITH. Then you BELIEVE and SEE the VISIBLE. Those around you will complete the cycle when they SEE the MIRACLES and they will BELIEVE G-d.
And … it doesn’t matter HOW G-d works … just so He works. For example, there was a young man in a perilous situation in Dothan who SAW dreams earlier given to him by “The Starter“; however the young mans’ deliverance and worldwide geo-political authority didn’t come to pass for 13 years. His name was Joseph. (Torah: Genesis Chapter 37)
There was another young man in Dothan, centuries later, who was in a perilous situation, but who received immediate deliverance by a host of holy angels. (Tanakh: 4 Kings 6:7)
“Elisha prayed and said, ‘Lord, I pray you, open his (the young man’s) eyes, that he may SEE. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he SAW: and behold the mountain was full of horses, and chariots of fire around Elisha.”
Remember … G-d can START situations at any time. Know this and believe it. See the invisible.
It doesn’t matter HOW G-d works … just so He works. He is “The Starter“!
What would you have “The Starter” do for you today? You don’t have to understand everything about Him. Stop trying to analyze Him … maybe you should stop trying to analyze the situation you’re in … and just BELIEVE!
If the finite could comprehend the infinite, then the infinite would be finite.
“Don’t be afraid; only believe.” (Brit Chadashah: Mark 5:36)

HOW TO PLAN FOR GIANT WORLDWIDE HARVESTS
When God was preparing to destroy the world through means of the Great Flood, He gave explicit commands to Noah. That the flood was a universal and cataclysmic event, worldwide and not local, is evidenced by the fact that it is recounted in different historical records of many ancient cultures, although corrupted as in the Gilgamesh Epic and the Sumerian account.
“Then the Lord said to Noah, Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female: two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female: also seven of each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth.
For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.
And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.” [Torah: Genesis 7:1-5]
Knowing that He would flood ALL the earth and destroy ALL living things that he had made upon the earth (both man and beast), God was at the same time planning for WORLDWIDE HARVESTS to keep the species [Lit: seed] alive on the face of all the earth (the earth after the destruction) by using birds to carry and disperse seed.
The Hebrew word for “species” or “seed” used in the above passage is “zerah” and can be used for fruit, plant, sowing time, or posterity. So God was planning ahead of time (after the destruction) for the seeding and maintenance of both botanical life and biological life, and thereby the ecological and systemic sustenance of human life and progeny.
God, in parallel manner during this present time of Planet Earth, in these last days, is preparing to destroy the heavenly bodies: the planetary system of the universe, including earth, as we know it.
However, He is at the same time planning for WORLDWIDE HARVESTS to keep the species [Lit: seed] alive on the face of the New Earth. [Ed. Note: Go to the Archives of The Apostles Group and study "Final Days of Planet Earth".] This “seed” will be the seed of the Word of God through the seed of Abraham: Messiah Yeshua. It is the “seed” of the LIVING Word, Yeshua, and of the WRITTEN Word, the Word of God, of which there is an organic union between both.
Orthodox Judaism will become a distinct part of this sphere of activity, as will evangelical Christianity, of which there will be an organic union of the Holy Spirit. Many rabbis will be visited by Yeshua in dreams, visions, and in person through the testimony of REAL Christians. It will be the last stage of seven in militant church history: the Militant Church of Israel. [Ed. note: Read "Militant Church History" copyright © 1973 by Handley World Services.]
This incorruptible Word of God will be the “seed” which brings new birth and the necessary sustenance of (spiritual) life during the Millennial Kingdom and after the establishment of the New Earth.
God promised to never again flood the whole world by water; however, He is going to FLOOD the earth a second time with the Word of God. There will be a worldwide deluge of God’s Holy Word and of Messiah’s doctrine.
We see three (3) things in the first five verses of Genesis Chapter Seven in Torah:
[1] Noah lived a just, lawful, and righteous life.
[2] Birds were used as the medium to carry botanical seed.
[3] Noah obeyed God.
[1] NOAH LIVED A JUST, LAWFUL, AND RIGHTEOUS LIFE
Notice the reason for choosing Noah: “Because I have seen you righteous before me in this generation.” [Genesis 7:1]
What kind of life are you living now? I didn’t ask you: “What kind of life did you live in the past?” I didn’t ask you: “What are people saying about you?” But I asked you: “What kind of life are you living … NOW?” Let’s do a self check, or a reality check. What kind of life do you want to live?
If you want to be used for “special works” then you need to live a sanctified, set apart, life. Only in purity will you be enabled for the Lord’s work. [2 Timothy 2:19-21]
[2] BIRDS WERE USED AS THE MEDIUM TO CARRY BOTANICAL SEED
Notice the means wherewith God told Noah that He would keep the species [Lit. seed] alive upon the earth after the flood:
“(You shall take) also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species [Lit. seed] alive on the face of all the earth.” [Genesis 7:3]
Birds were used as the medium to carry botanical seed after the flood thereby providing food, sustenance, and life for man and animals, and enabling procreation to continue.
Who are your birds? What carriers of God’s seed, the Word of God, do you have available to you? How will you keep seed alive upon the earth … and also prepare to keep the species alive (preserve life) upon the New Earth: the Millennial Kingdom of Messiah Yeshua?
May I say to you that there are several available means, or media. With these “media birds” you can “carry” seed. And with the seed you can evangelize, disciple, and establish new churches. Study the three (3) writings below to see more about how to do this:

[3] NOAH OBEYED GOD
If you want to be used greatly by God, it will cost you everything you have. Jesus taught, “The kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; which, when a man has found it, he hides the treasure, and because of the joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.” [Matthew 13:44]
If you want to reach China for Christ, then you will have to sell out; also, you will have to buy the whole field. But remember there is JOY involved, and the joy of the Lord is your strength. Also, whatever you leave behind for the cause of Jesus and the Good News, you will receive back in abundance in this life … plus eternal rewards in Heaven, also. [Mark 10:17-31] Meditate upon this! Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal this to you.
Isaiah 32:20 shows there are two ways to increase your blessings. “Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the feet of the ox and the donkey.” First, SOW, carry the seed, by the different media available. Second, SEND out the workers. Commission them; lay hands on and send out the seasoned, trained workers.
Lots of ministries sow, but few send out the workers.
Along with evangelism and discipling, we need to continuously be: 1.) SOWING; AND, 2.) SENDING. We need to be SOWING locally and worldwide. “And the good news must first be preached to all the nations.” [Mark 13:10] See also Mark 16:15 and Matthew 24:14. We need to be SENDING locally and worldwide [Matthew 28:19-20] Then, we need to TEACH the new believers to DO THE SAME, and to do ALL the teachings of Jesus. We need to TEACH them to START NEW CHURCHES.
We need to pray and fast: for the Word of God to TAKE ROOT in the hearts and lives of people, and to take root in ALL ethnic groups, language and cultural groups, and nations … and for the Word of God to MULTIPLY. We need to ask God for an ANOINTING OF MULTIPLICATION upon our sowing and sending. We need to prophesy and speak in faith for this multiplication for the same reason that Elisha prophesied the multiplication of the widow’s oil: to keep families alive upon this earth and the New Earth … to keep the species [Lit. seed] alive!
This way, we are praying and asking in the Father’s will. This is how we get our prayers answered expeditiously.

AND GOD’S FAITH ALWAYS WORKS!
“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done for you. Herein is my Father glorified, that you produce much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.” – Jesus [John 15:7-8]
Soul-winners get their prayers answered.
To obey God, as Noah did, has as a prerequisite that you have heard from God. Below are listed five steps to help you PLAN FOR GIANT WORLDWIDE HARVESTS.
1. OBTAIN A MAP of the world and pray for every country periodically. At times, the Lord may lead you to fast and pray. One good book on the subject is “God’s Chosen Fast” by Arthur Wallis, available by ordering at any good Christian book store.
You might want to pray for the leaders of certain countries, two per day. Write to Window International Network (WIN) for a calendar of the political and spiritual leaders in the 10/40 Window. You can email them at WIN@WIN1040.com.

2. GO MINISTER (evangelize, prayer walk, or do support work) in other nations. Go to places like China and take in Bibles or books or do tract evangelism. Before you go, you have to leave! What is God asking you to leave: anger, career, business, past, unhealthy relationships, pride, fear, arrogance, home, family? Read Mark 10:29 prayerfully.
God may leverage the odds against us to TEST us, as he did in Abraham’s life. At 75 he was a RISK TAKER! Abraham was asked to leave all that he knew. He did not know where he was going … he was clueless. However, he had a healthy sense of inadequacy because he trusted God.
3. FOCUS on those areas where you have a concern. God will give you a concern before He gives you a solution. You will HAVE to do it. No one else may ever do it. Pray and fast; bring your concern before God. Many things may catch your eyes but not your heart. Not everyone will share your concern … maybe no one will … but it will be strongly placed in your heart.
Brand yourself with the component of the eternal. Tell God, “Here I am … give me favor!” Nehemiah was not concerned about a wall … but about God’s people. Reality check: Ask yourself, “Am I concerned about people?” “Do I want God’s Kingdom established on Planet Earth?” Go to the Archives of The Apostles Group and study “Final Days of Planet Earth”.
Give yourself to people … and to the establishment of God’s kingdom on Planet Earth. Remember, “good” is the enemy of “the best”! Nehemiah said, “I am doing a great work and I can’t come down.” [Nehemiah 6:3]
4. EXCEL in where you place your focus (Step #3 above). God doesn’t want you to be average. You’re a believer. Tear down the barriers. BELIEVE GOD! Your own thinking will keep you from God’s best. Enlarge your vision. Prepare yourself for excellence. For advanced studies in leadership, church growth, and missions, study at The University of Excellence. “ENLARGE the place of your tent, and let them STRETCH OUT the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare. LENGTHEN your cords, and STRENGTHEN your stakes. For you shall EXPAND to the right and to the left. And your descendants will inherit the nations and make the desolate cities inhabited.” [Isaiah 54:2-3]

You have to prepare room first. Then you will break forth and expand. Maybe you need to take some classes in school or online courses on the internet, or obtain other experience. WHAT TO DO AFTER THE VICTORY – PART B
Immediately after the victory for which you have fought, prayed, and believed in faith, will subtly appear one of your most dangerous attacks from the enemy. It will NOT be like the attack(s) BEFORE your conquest: to discourage you, to make you afraid, to cause loss of integrity, loss of a loved one, or loss of possessions. All of which attacks you can defeat … and withstand … by living holy and living a life of faith and trust in God.
But this attack will be so delicate or precise as to be difficult to analyze or describe. You will not be capable, without discernment from God, of making fine distinctions as to the source of the attack. It will be overt and delicately complex. There will be put in place clever and indirect means by the enemy to achieve your downfall: spiritually, socially, materially, physically, and mentally … in that order.
This two-part newsletter is being written to instruct you as to how to offset this kind of attack, and to guard against it; also, to augment and solidify your recent victory, and to go on to higher and more productive accomplishments.
King Solomon tells us in the Book of Ecclesiastes that threefold cord is not easily broken. [Ecclesiastes 4:12] There are three things you can do to assure your maintenance of the victory and your own personal integrity. They are as follows:

[] Plan for the Future
In the previous newsletter we discussed the first thing you should do to assure the maintenance of your victory and your own personal integrity: Guard Against Pride.
In this newsletter we will discuss the second and third things you should do to assure the maintenance of your victory and your own personal integrity: Monitor the Victory; and, Plan for the Future.
[] MONITOR THE VICTORY
Is the business or ministry that was implemented as a result of the victory just accomplished helping people to grow? That is, is it making disciples for our Lord and, at the same time, advancing the kingdom of God? Are new synagogues and churches being raised up. Are you planning and praying for new churches and/or messianic synagogues to be raised up as a result of the business or ministry that was successfully implemented? If so, what will be your strategy for [harvesting AND] monitoring the new birthings that result from the victory?
Do you have literature prepared in the language(s) of the people or customers you will be reaching? What opportunities will be provided for the new believers to take part in your business or ministry so they may grow at optimum efficiency? (We’re NOT talking here about folding church bulletins!) How will you train the leaders of the movement?
Jesus wants you to give them “strong meat.” Not just salvation … but also enlargement. In the great commission He said to “teach them to observe ALL things I have commanded you …” [Matthew 28:18-20] That includes healing, forgiveness, casting out demons, prayer, fasting, love, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, unity, faith, and prosperity of resources.
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season.” [Matthew 24:45]
“For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” [Hebrews 5:12]
Do you have methodology in place whereby you can obtain feedback from the new wave of the harvest? How will you “take the pulse” of the new believers and the leaders in the movement or business so you can help them yield to the lordship of Christ. Do you have a system in place … a plan of action … to monitor and ensure that the new disciples are becoming disciples of Christ and NOT disciples of men.
What you do NOT need is for the enemy to trick you, and you find out up the road that false discipleship is taking place: the believers are falling prey to the (false) covering movement where they become disciples of men and lose their liberty to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. They become robots instead of creators! This happened in the 1970’s and was a strategy of Satan to destroy the evangelistic and prophetic ministry. I know of cases where people had to ask permission from the elders for such things as taking flowers to a sick person or evangelizing a university.
Let the Holy Spirit do what He wants; but you fast, pray, and plan. Some people spend much time planning and preparing for their own financial and legal matters, but hardly any time planning and preparing for the efficient mobilization of God’s people and the necessary logistics.
Do you have plans ahead of time to facilitate the new believers being directed into houses of worship … OR … to teach them how to start a new church or messianic synagogue?
When a new fellowship of believers is raised up, what should you look for? What ministry gifts does the Holy Spirit usually give to the new local body of believers before the ministry of apostle? How should the leaders be chosen? Will the new leaders know how and when to send out workers to other fields?
How will you make sure that the NEW MOVEMENT which results from the recent victory will be multiplied? Never be satisfied with production or harvest alone … but always pray for an ANOINTING OF MULTIPLICATION!

There are many subjects dealing with monitoring the harvest so you should examine each area of the RealMiracles website to derive the information relevant to the situation. For example, when I asked the questions above, “How should the leaders be chosen? Will the new leaders know how and when to send out workers to other fields?”, the answers are both subjective and objective.
If you study the scriptural pattern for new churches being established, you will see in Acts Chapter 13 that prophets and teachers were first called out by the Holy Spirit and then apostles sent forth. Study the Book of Acts and watch the scriptural pattern, an objective pattern laid out by the Holy Spirit. Also, notice how the apostles went back on subsequent journey(s) confirming the (souls of) the disciples.
However, there is “subjectivity” to the selection of leaders. You will see that the Holy Spirit “called” and then “sent forth” the apostles. In between the “calling” and the “sending forth” was the laying on of hands by the presbytery, ratifying the work of the Spirit. The aspect of “subjectivity” in the ordaining or choosing of leaders is of extreme importance. Let me give you an example.
While I was training pastors and Christian leaders in a jungle area, there were two predominant leaders. The brothers I knew who had been used by God to plant several churches in the area of that nation had two individuals in mind that they thought should be the leaders. However, the indigenous natives came to them and said, “They are not the leaders, it is someone else.” The leaders the people chose were the two that I had noticed.
[] PLAN FOR THE FUTURE
Jesus taught that we must be expedient concerning the harvest. It would be terrible mismanagement … extremely sinful … to allow the harvest to lay idle, and go unharvested: to allow it to rot.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.” [John 9:4]
“Do not say, There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest. But, look, I say to you, focus with your eyes, and put your attention on these fields, for they are already white, ready to harvest.” [John 4:35]
My mother used to say many times, “Make hay while the sun shines!” (In other words, when night comes it’s too late to work … take advantage of the situation NOW!)
After your victory is the time the enemy will do his best to allure you with: Fame; Fortune; Lust; and,
Deception of any kind.
Don’t let your guard down!
You are at your weakest point of defense right after your victory. That’s the time to “RSPS”: Rest; Stay under the anointing; Plan, stretch out in faith; and, Start implementing your plans for the NEXT victory. It may be related to the harvest of your present (recent) victory.
Rest for a short period. Use this time to reflect and give thanks to God, and those people who assisted you, for the victory. Pray God’s blessing on those who assisted you!
Stay under the anointing. Stay in the Word of God and prayer.
Plan. Use this period of rest to listen to God for the “skeletal” outline of your next project. Receive your plans from the Spirit. Then praise and thank Him in faith for the next victory!
Start. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you implement. Don’t wait until all the conditions are right before you start. Count the cost, but use faith. You can refine after you implement.

We will now discuss these three aspects.
[] Guard Against Pride
Let us examine some scriptures concerning pride, its effects, and what God thinks about it. It is not my purpose here to comment on each verse, but to provide a general overview of the consequences of pride and the response of God toward it.
“When pride comes, then comes shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.” [Proverbs 11:2]
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” [Proverbs 16:18]
“A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.” [Proverbs 29:23]
“But when his [Nebuchadnezzar's] heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne; they took his glory from him.” [Daniel 5:20]
“Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.” [1 Timothy 3:6] “For all that is in the world, the evil desire of the flesh, and the evil desire of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” [1 John 2:16]
Thinking in your mind that you were the one responsible for the victory … forgetting that God gave you the victory … is a great insult to the Heavenly Father, and manifests a lack of mature thankfulness. The Lord led you to the people, provided the resources, gave you the wisdom, enabled you with skill(s), and blessed you with the anointing.
You may have temptations to boast about the victory; maybe not in a braggadocios manner, but in a subdued presentation of the victory as “your brainchild” … “your baby” … “your production”. Remember, God is all-seeing, He is watching whether you try to take the glory or whether you give Him the glory. He doesn’t NEED the glory, but He is looking for the character in your heart, that He might use you even more in the future.
Remember, you can have your rewards here on earth … or in Heaven. The Lord Jesus taught us:
“Pay attention that you do not do your charitable donations before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have NO reward of your Father which is in Heaven.” [Matthew 6:1]
“Therefore when you do your charitable donations, do not sound a trumpet before you [to draw attention to yourself and your works], as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Truly I say unto you, they have their reward.”
“But when you do your charitable donations, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does. This way, your charitable donations may be confidential; and your Father which sees your confidential works Himself will reward you openly.” [Matthew 6:1-4]
You don’t get any reward from the Father when you try to draw attention to your good works. You already received your reward; that was to have yourself and your works … your “victory” … seen by men. Like the old saying, “You can’t eat your cake and still have it, too!”
However, if you do your works confidentially (sometimes you can’t keep them confidential), in your heart NOT trying to draw attention to yourself, but wanting God to receive the glory, then you will have your rewards BOTH on earth and in Heaven. In this way you will be able to eat your cake and still have it in Heaven!
This mindset has to be established ahead of time or you will not be able to resist the temptations to boast. If you do fall prey to boasting, Satan will have a “hook” in you called “pride” and try to use it to steal your earthly blessings and to bring you down. His chief objective in all this, however, will be to keep you from being powerfully used by God again in the future.
One way of boasting, and thus giving in to pride, is through the vanity of numbers or size. King David was guilty of this and many innocent people lost their lives. [1 Chronicles Chapter 21] “And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the Lord, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O Lord, take away the iniquity of thy servant, for I have done very foolishly.” [2 Samuel 24:10]
Some of the ancient rabbis put up walls around the Torah to keep people from breaking the law. In other words, they had man made laws to act as a “buffer zone” to keep people from getting too close to breaking one of the laws in the Torah (the five books of Moses, the Pentateuch). Maybe it would be wise to make a personal decision not to number people or things (other than for inventory or important purposes and records) as a guard against using these numerical values as a tool for boasting or personal aggrandizement. I’m not talking about being legalistic, but about setting a path for humility.
One way to set up walls to help us guard against pride is to search the scriptures and find out what pride is about, and then do the opposite. For example, when the Holy Bible tells us, “A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.” [Proverbs 29:23], then we can see that it would be to our profit to seek to be “humble in spirit.”
One area of pride, and there are many facets, is in the area of relationships. I’m not talking about immoral, or ungodly, relationships, but about bragging,or even mentally boasting that we know or closely associate ourselves with someone who is well known. I’m not talking about honoring and being thankful of associations with people who have the favor of God on their lives … but about giving preference or showing respect of persons.
James, the brother of our Lord and the first bishop of the church of Jerusalem, taught us:
“For if there come unto our assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment, and you have respect to him that wears the magnificent clothing, and say unto him, ‘You sit here in a good seat,’ and say to the poor person, ‘You stand here …’; are you not then showing partiality, and have become judges of evil thoughts.” [James 2:2-4]
The scripture admonishes us in Romans 12:16 to “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.” In other words, be of the same mind toward all people, whether rich or poor, politically connected or not, educated or uneducated, whether advantageous to our cause or not. This is another way to guard against pride.
It may take working at as we learn to lean on the Holy Spirit, but it will help us to maintain our well fought victories and also help us go on to higher and more productive accomplishments. Specifically, it will let God see that we are willing to let the metal of our hearts be refined so that He might use us more greatly for His glory!

HOW TO GET OUT OF WHERE YOU’RE AT
Are you in a place in your life or ministry where you think: “I will never get out of this situation!” Then you probably won’t. The Bible tells us, “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” [Proverbs 23:7] Let us rephrase it to make it personal: “For as YOU think in YOUR heart, so are YOU.”
This scripture means more than, “If you dwell on negative, fearful thoughts most of the time, then you’re a negative, fearful person.” It actually means these things will come to pass in your life. It’s not just that you experienced these things over and over and they caused you to be that way. But conversely … your mind caused you to experience them!
The battleground is in your mind. That’s where your future is set! Your future isn’t dependent upon where you grew up or from what family you came. Your future is set for success if you are born again and of the royal seed of Abraham through the shed blood of Christ. But … you have to control your thoughts to line up with your Father’s promises.
Your thoughts … just like dreams … come from one of three (3) sources: God, yourself, or the devil. Don’t let Satan lie to you and tell you: “You will never get out of this situation.” “You will never have victory in this matter.” “You will never pay all those bills off.” “You will never reach every nation, tribe, language group, and race of the earth for Christ.” The devil will tell you, “You’re too young, you’re too old, you’re not smart enough, you have too much education and it has hurt you.”
Remember the life of Queen Esther whom we studied last newsletter. She was so confident in God that she didn’t ask for anything to take into the king’s court on her first appearance to Ahasuerus. Whatever she desired would have been given to her. [Esther 2:13] “And Esther obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins.” [Esther 2:17] God can give you favor in whatever situation you find yourself. But you have to BELIEVE, OBEY, and CHOOSE to live in FAITH and VICTORY.
You may be in a jail cell. But God! Those are powerful words … think about them: “But God …” Jesus was taken from the wooden cross stake after having been crucified and laid in the tomb. “BUT GOD raised Him from the dead.” [Acts 13:30] I was a scheduled speaker at a large interfaith conference where I was Dean of the ministry school and met a brother, a minister, who had been sentenced to prison for life. He had been an attorney and was convicted of crimes by the federal government in the USA that resulted in his life sentence.
After being committed to prison he gave his life to Christ. One day, without advance notification, guards came and escorted him out of his prison cell and he was released permanently. “But God …” What is your situation? This relationship of ours with God, the Father, is a MIRACLE relationship. Never forget it! It has all happened as a result of the resurrection …. AND … the Holy Spirit is God’s agent on earth to supply the resurrection power of Christ. Believe God!
You must control your thoughts. “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God [the Word of God], and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” [2 Corinthians 10:5]
If you do not cast down Satan’s lies, if you listen to them … or if you choose to dwell on your own negative thoughts of defeat, poverty, and sickness … you will limit your life. God is NOT limited by your family, your background, your education, your companion. God is limited by your FAITH.
Choose to dwell on thoughts of life and hope and positivity. “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both you and your future posterity may live.” [Deuteronomy 30:19]
Is your life dull … boring? It’s because you’re not believing God for exciting things. Find a promise (or promises) in God’s Word that pertain to the thing(s) you want, and then believe God for them.
If it’s a new car, then go down to the dealership, find the model and color you really want and believe God for it. Put it on your prayer list. Ask God to show you if there’s something He would like you to do for Him. If it’s a husband or wife you want, then tell God what you’re looking for.
I was speaking at a large singles’ convention recently. I was late (it wasn’t my fault) and they had been waiting for six hours (in their seats) for me to arrive. Many people were saved and many were healed instantly with MIRACLES from God.
While speaking, I approached a young lady in the audience and asked her if she was praying for a husband. She said “Yes.” I asked her what kind she was praying for. She couldn’t answer me specifically. I said to her (and to the congregation) “How will God know what kind of husband to give you? Tell Him what you want!” “Do you want a white husband, a black husband, or a green husband? Do you want a tall husband or a pygmy? Intelligent … or unintelligent?” Finally, she got the point. Be specific in your praying.
Also, if you’re single, be specific in your goals before you go on a date. This will help you get your prayers answered. You have to come to the place AHEAD OF TIME, where if you’re tempted with sex, you can say to your date: “I really love / like you, but I want to please God … I love Him more … and I don’t want to have sex unless I’m married.”
My purpose in writing is to get you out of where you’re at. Here’s what to do:
Find something God wants to do … that’s near to His heart.
Find something you want to do … that’s near to your heart.
Join the thing(s) you want to do WITH and UNDER the things God wants to do.
IF YOUR PLAN FITS INTO GOD’S PLAN, YOU’LL HAVE GOD’S FAITH … AND GOD’S FAITH ALWAYS WORKS!
Bring (plead) your case before God. “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together; you declare, that you may be justified.” [Isaiah 43:26]
You have to get SERIOUS with God and PLEAD YOUR CASE BEFORE HIM. Lay out the facts. Show Him the paper work if you have to. How would you appear before a human judge who doesn’t even have one iota of the authority of Almighty God, the Judge of the Universe?
This is more than just praying! You’re standing seriously before the Court of Heaven pleading your case. It’s a “life or death” situation because you don’t want to end up where you’re at. You may be 8 years old … or 108 years old. But, the KEY element here is that you need to be FREE and PRODUCTIVE so that life can be ministered and multiplied to millions of people around the world through the ministry God has given you!
Give due diligence to present your case. Tell God WHY and to WHAT ADVANTAGE it is to both you and Him for you to be released from this situation in which you find yourself. If you are in that situation because of sin or disobedience, then repent and ask God for forgiveness. Assure Him that it will NOT happen again. (You may be there for a “learning experience” because God has been merciful upon you in that you would not learn the lesson another way.)
You may be there because the enemy has tricked you … deceived you. Explain this to God, and appeal to His mercy. Remember, God’s enemy is your enemy. This gives you favor, just as Queen Esther had favor … just as Joseph had favor. And it may be, just as in both the lives of Joseph and Queen Esther, that God will turn this situation around and use it “to save many people”.
When you leave the Heavenly Court, do so with humility, respect, and thankfulness. Wait, listen, and obey!
Write down your goals and the things you want God to do through you. Write them down in the form of goals or concise statements: what you WILL accomplish, by the grace of God. At the top of the page write these words: “By the grace of God and His MIRACLES, I will:”
Then underneath write out the prayer goals that you want the Holy Spirit to accomplish through you. You may have to pray for days, months, or years. Remember what Jesus taught us in Luke 18:1-8, recorded below:
“And He spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men should always pray, and not faint; saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, ‘Avenge me of my adversary.’
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I fear not God, nor regard man; yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her. Unless by her continual coming to me she wearies me.’
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says. And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes to earth, shall He find faith on the earth?”
I have things for which I have prayed daily for decades. Years ago I spent time alone in a hotel room writing down the goals that I wanted Christ to accomplish through me in the future. They were BIG and I thought many might not come to pass for 50 years. However, almost all of them came to pass within a few years.
Believe God for BIG things … so big you could never do them. That way, everyone, including yourself and your enemies, will know it is God when they come to pass! Claim Jeremiah 33:3 which says, “Call unto me and I will answer you and show you GREAT and MIGHTY things you do not know about.”
When you’re out of where you’re at, then don’t go back. Be productive, bear fruit for the glory of God … and out of thankfulness for what He has done for you. Remember, God brought the children of Israel OUT … that He might bring them IN. He delivered them from Egypt, that He might bring them into a wide, wealthy place of ENLARGEMENT to be a praise among the nations.
God is bringing you OUT … that He might bring you IN … and save alive many people!

HOW GOD WORKS FOR YOU – PART B
In the last newsletter we discussed certain ways God has to help you. Many times He or His angels are working ahead of time … or right on time … in unseen ways to deliver you, to prosper you, and to bring you into a place of super productivity.
Remember, God is FOR YOU. If you ever doubt this, look at the cross stake. “If when we were His enemies He loved us so much that He sent His only son, Yeshua ha Meschiach, to die for us, how much more, now that we are His friends, does He want to make us whole in every area of our lives.” [Brit Chadashah: Romans 5:10]
God has every detail of your life covered. If you walk in constant communion with Him … if the Holy Spirit is your best Friend … and if you are involved in kingdom work, then you can expect His VERY BEST for you.
In this newsletter we will discuss more in detail how God works “behind the scenes” to bring mass deliverance of nations and groups of people. Pray that God will guide you into the ministry of “national deliverance”.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go; I will guide you with my eye.” [Psalm 32:8]
Realize that this promise is both “individual” and “corporate”. God is not only working for YOU, but also for those PEOPLE under your tutelage and leadership. He wants you to KNOW His deliverance, direction, and dynamics: for your sake, as well as the sake of those people under your watch care … and for the sake of people in the FUTURE!
Before Christopher Columbus (real name Cristobal Colon) made his transatlantic voyages he began to believe that his plan for Atlantic navigation was divinely supported, that it was somehow connected with God’s purpose for the world. Five pages of remnants of some of Columbus’s original “papers” were sewn into the back of one of his favorite books: the Historia Revum Ubique Gestarum or History of All Things and All Deeds by Aeneas Sylvius (later Pope Pius II) printed in Venice in 1477.
On one of these pages he had written the Old Testament books and prophets which inspired him. He wrote: ” … the Holy Spirit, which with rays of marvelous brightness comforted me with His holy and sacred Scripture, in a high, clear voice.” Surely, not all was perfect in his life, but he had been used as a marvelous vessel in frontier work that opened up the New World from which the Good News and workers for Messiah spread throughout the world in the last 500 years.
Also, think of the many people who have fled persecution and oppression through the centuries and found refuge in the New World. At the end of his life Columbus was convinced that prophecies had been fulfilled by his voyages to the Indies and he gave up his quest for science to “cleave to the Holy and Sacred Scriptures. I have used the life of Columbus as an example. You don’t have to know every detail … and you don’t have to be perfect … to be an instrument God will use to impact the world, and even to open NEW, HITHERTO UNTRAVERSED FRONTIERS.
Let your heart speak to you; let the Spirit’s prompting in your inner man guide you in accordance to the Holy Scriptures. What is it that the Holy Spirit is leading you to implement? God’s Spirit is in the business of impacting nations. He is in the business of opening NEW FRONTIERS. He works “behind the scenes” to bring mass deliverance of nations and groups of people. For those who will listen and pay the price, He births the life work of “national deliverance”.
A scripture generally ascribed to the end times tells us: “And the gospel must first be published among all nations.” [Mark 13:10] The word for “nations” here is the Greek word “ethnos” which can mean a tribe or people with similar characteristics, or a race. It can be as broad as a nation and as narrow as a family or clan; and usually distinguished by linguistic or cultural characteristics.
God wants to impact clans and tribes, language groups and races … people from all characteristic groups of the world to represent His Son – the Messiah – as followers of Meschiach in Heaven.
“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us, to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” [Brit Chadashah: Revelation 5:9]
FIRST, How do you make this apply to yourself and the life work God has assigned you?
Answer: By IDENTIFICATION with God’s plan. If your plan fits into God’s plan, you will have GOD’S FAITH and God’s faith ALWAYS works!
SECOND, Why would you want it to apply to you?
Answer: You will be able to effect tremendous and numerous MIRACLES of world wide impact and SYNAGOGUE and CHURCH PLANTING with growth of disciplined believers who are partaking in “strong meat of the Word of God”.
THIRD, How can you implement this?
Answer: You will believe IN FAITH for an ANOINTING OF MULTIPLICATION.

When your heart is woven into the heart of God’s plan then you can expect mighty DELIVERANCES as well as MIRACLES. God can work for you through many avenues:
[] Enemies;
[] Circumstances;
[] Dreams or sleeplessness;
[] Angels;
[] Fastings.
[] Prayers of believers.
We see most, if not all, of the avenues listed above being used in the Book of Esther.
Ahasuerus was monarch of the Medo-Persian empire and ruled over 127 provinces from India to East Africa. For six months He made a feast to all his princes and servants during which time he flaunted his riches. At the end of this time he made a great feast for seven days, inviting all people in Shushan, the palace. He had sent for his wife, Queen Vashti, to come that he might display her beauty to the crowd; but she refused, and the king became angry.
The king asked [his wise men] the seven princes of Persia and Media: “What shall we do unto the Queen Vashti according to law, because she has not performed the commandment of King Ahasuerus by the household officers?” The concensus of the princes was that a decree should be made that every man should bear rule in his own house; and that Vashti could come no more before the king. Also, that her royal estate and position be given to another [woman] better than she.
Later, the king’s servants that waited upon him suggested, and talked him into, making another decree: “Let fair young virgins be sought for the king … and let the maiden which pleases the king be replacement for Vashti.” [Esther 1:22-2:2] The king appointed officers in all 127 provinces of his kingdom to gather beautiful young virgins to the palace at Shushan so that he could choose one to be queen instead of Vashti.
IT’S REPLACEMENT TIME IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH … NOW!
In Shushan the palace [city] lived a Jew named Mordecai who had been taken captive from Jerusalem under Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. Mordecai had raised his cousin, Esther, who was orphaned after her parents died. Esther was beautiful!
GOD SET THIS SITUATION UP TO BRING FORTH ESTHER AND MORDECAI – GOD SETS SITUATIONS UP TO BRING YOU FORTH
Esther was ultimately chosen after at least 12 months of preparation with oil of myrrh and sweet aromas. And the king loved Esther above all the women who were candidates to replace Vashti. She obtained “grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” [Esther 2:17] At this time Esther had not made known to the king that she was Jewish.
In those days Mordecai, Esther’s cousin, found out that two of the king’s officers were planning to assassinate the king. Mordecai told it to Esther the queen and she let the king know, also having the matter certified in the court records. These two men were then hanged.
After all these things the king promoted a man named Haman above all the princes in the kingdom, and the king commanded people to bow before Haman. But Mordecai refused to do so, and told them that he was a Jew. Eventually, people told Haman about this and he became full of anger. The people wanted to see if Mordecai would succeed; to see if there was any import to belonging to the God of Israel. Satan stirred up Haman and he then decided to destroy all the Jews, Mordecai’s people, throughout the whole kingdom, from India to Ethiopia!
Haman lied to the king and convinced the king that the Jews were a bad influence in the kingdom and should be destroyed; he talked the king into letting Haman prepare a decree for their destruction in all 127 provinces. The copy of the decree was delivered by horsemen to the provinces ordering the massacre of all Jews, including women and children, on one set day and to take their material wealth.
GOD KNEW ABOUT HAMAN AHEAD OF TIME AND HE KNEW THE JEWS WOULD NEED DELIVERANCE – GOD KNOWS ABOUT YOU AHEAD OF TIME AND HE KNOWS WHEN YOU NEED DELIVERANCE
In every province Jews started weeping and mourning; many started fasting. The Jews were not afraid to show their emotions; the time was drawing near for their extermination. Mordecai tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and went out into middle of the city, crying with a loud voice. Esther heard about Mordecai and sent one of the king’s officers to find out what was happening.
GOD HONORS FASTING – WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU FASTED?
FAST TO PROTECT YOURSELF, YOUR LOVED ONES, AND YOUR COUNTRY
Mordecai showed the officer a copy of the decree that had been made, to show it to Esther, and to command her to go into the king to make request for mercy for her people, the Jews. But Esther sent the officer back to Mordecai to explain to him that she could not go into the king without having been called by him; it was a death sentence to do so. Also, she had not been called by the king for the last 30 days.
But Mordecai answered her back: “Don’t think that you will escape in the king’s house more than all the Jews. For if you altogether hold you peace at this time, then there shall ENLARGEMENT and DELIVERANCE [from God] arise to the Jews from another place; but you and your father’s house shall be destroyed; and who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” [Esther 4:14]
GOD BRINGS DELIVERANCE AND ENLARGEMENT – WHEN HE DELIVERS YOU FROM SOMETHING HE THEN PROVIDES FOR YOUR ENLARGEMENT
King David said, “He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.” [2 Samuel 22:20 and Psalm 18:19]
After God delivered Israel from Egypt he directed them to a LARGE place of NO WANT. “When you go, you shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God has given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.” [Judges 18:10]
Then Esther sent an answer back to Mordecai saying, “Go gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan and fast for me; and don’t eat or drink for three days, night or day. I, also, and my maidens will fast the same. I will go in unto the king, which is not according to the law, and if I die, I die.” [verses 15 and 16]
YOUR DECISION TO DIE TO YOUR WILL ALWAYS BRINGS YOU INTO A PLACE OF ENLARGEMENT
Jesus taught, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” [Luke 9:24]
On the third day of complete fasting, Esther went into the inner court of the king’s house and stood before him while he was on his throne. She obtained favor in his sight and he held out his golden scepter to her. The king asked her what she wanted; that it would be given her to the half of his kingdom. She then invited the king … and Haman … to a banquet she had prepared that day.
NEVER LET YOUR ENEMY KNOW WHAT YOU’RE PLANNING
At the banquet the king asked her what her request was. She then invited the king … and Haman … to a second banquet she would have the next day and told the king she would then make her request known.
NOTICE THE IMPORTANCE OF TIMING AND OF BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD
After this first banquet, Haman went home happy but as he passed the king’s gate Mordecai would not bow down to him. This made Haman mad but he restrained himself. At home, he told his wife Zeresh and his friends about his promotion and the invitation he received to the banquet the next day. Also, he told them about passing Mordecai in the king’s gate and that Mordecai would not bow down to him. Haman’s wife and friends told him he should build a gallows 75 feet high (about 23 meters) upon which to hang Mordecai, and that he should ask the king for permission to do the same the next day at the banquet. That made Haman happy and he caused the gallows to be made.
THE NEXT 24 HOURS WERE OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE TO ESTHER AND THE JEWS – WHAT ABOUT THE NEXT 24 HOURS IN YOUR LIFE … AND IN YOUR COUNTRY?
That night the king could not sleep and he commanded someone to read the records (chronicles) of the kingdom. Written in the records he found that Mordecai had saved him from an assassination attempt; and he asked, “What honor and dignity has been done to Mordecai for this?” His servants answered, “Nothing has been done for him.”
AN ANGEL PROBABLY KEPT THE KING FROM SLEEPING – GOD WAS ANSWERING THE PRAYERS AND FASTING
About then Haman came into the outer court to speak to the king about hanging Mordecai. The king asked Haman, “What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” Thinking the king was talking about him, Haman answered, “Put royal clothes of the king upon him, with the royal crown, and let him ride through the city on the king’s horse.” Then the king commanded Haman to do this to Mordecai!
Before it was time to go to the second banquet of Esther’s, Haman went home mourning (because of Mordecai’s success). Even his wife and friends told him, “If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom you have begun to fall, you shall not prevail against him, but shall surely fall before him.” [Esther 6:13]
NEVER PUT YOUR HAND AGAINST THE JEWS OR AGAINST ISRAEL
“And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.” [Genesis 12:3]
While Mordecai and his wife were still talking, the king’s officer came to take Mordecai to the second banquet Esther had prepared. At the banquet, Esther told the king her petition. She told him of the plans to destroy her people, the Jews, and that wicked Haman was the adversary. Then one of the king’s servants told he king about the gallows Haman had prepared upon which he planned to hang Mordecai. The king said, “Hang him (Haman) thereon.” [Esther 7:9]
On that day the king gave the house of Haman, the Jews enemy, to Queen Esther. Esther told the king that Mordecai was her cousin and that he had raised her after the death of her parents. The king took off his ring (which he had taken from Haman) and gave it to Mordecai. Esther then set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
The king then told Esther and Mordecai to write a decree allowing the Jews in every province from Ethiopia to India to protect themselves and to destroy all who would attempt to harm them. They were also given permission to take plunder and take goods from their enemies.
DON’T QUIT TOO SOON
The king told Esther that the Jews had destroyed 500 men in Shushan and the ten sons of Haman. Esther then made a second request: that the Jews could attack their enemies the next day, also; and she asked that the dead bodies of Haman’s sons be hanged from the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. This request was granted.
Approximately 75,800 of the Jews enemies were killed in the 127 provinces, but the Jews did not take any of their enemy’s goods.
Mordecai became second in the kingdom, next to the king, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
THE DEVIL HATES ISRAEL AND THE JEWS
First, because it was through the Jewish seed line that Messiah Yeshua was born. Second, the Jews are close to God’s heart: they are God’s chosen people.
“For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God has chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” [Deuteronomy 7:6]
“For the LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people, for you were the fewest of all people. But [you were chosen] because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers …” [Deuteronomy 7:7-8]
The devil showed his hatred of the Jews in Nazi Germany when he had 6,000,000 killed under Adolph Hitler.
SATAN HAS REPEATED THIS PLAN THROUGHOUT THE CENTURIES – HE DID NOT WANT THE DELIVERER FROM ZION, MESSIAH YESHUA, TO BE BORN
The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Moses’ day under Pharaoh.
The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Esther’s day under Haman.
The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Jesus’ day under King Herod.
SATAN WILL TRY AGAIN TO DESTROY THE JEWS – HE DOES NOT WANT THE MESSIAH TO RETURN THE SECOND TIME TO ESTABLISH HIS EARTHLY KINGDOM
The devil will try to destroy the Jews with a cataclysmic flood during the Great Tribulation. [Revelation 12:13-17] The devil KNOWS that when the Jews INVITE the Messiah back … then He will return!
“And I will pour out upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications, and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.” [Zechariah 12:9]
“In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.” [Zechariah 13:1]
Ask God for the ministry of “national deliverance”. You can be instrumental in the impact of the Holy Spirit upon your country or region, upon Israel, and upon your family, tribe, or ethnic group.
WHO KNOWS WHETHER YOU HAVE COME TO THE KINGDOM FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS?

HOW GOD WORKS FOR YOU – PART A
There are many ways God has to help you. Many times He or His angels are working ahead of time … or right on time … in unseen ways to deliver you, to prosper you, and to bring you into a place of super productivity.
Remember, God is FOR YOU. If you ever doubt this, look at the cross stake where Messiah gave His life as atonement for our sins. If, when we were God’s enemies, He loved us so much that He sent His only son to die for us, how much more, now that we are His friends, does He want to make us whole in every area of our lives.[Brit Chadashah: Romans 5:10]
God has every detail of your life covered. If you walk in constant communion with Him … if the Holy Spirit is your best Friend … and if you are involved in kingdom work, then you can expect His VERY BEST for you.
At times, the enemy may try to attack you through fear. Fear is a spirit. Fear is the opposite of love. God is love. Perfect love casts out ALL fear. “There is NO fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.” [Brit Chadashah: 1 John 4:18]
Speak to the spirit (demon) of fear; take your authority over it, bind it in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name and cast it back to the pit of hell. Use the Word of God against the enemy: “For God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” [2 Timothy 1:7]
There are times when the devil would try to come against you with a protracted period of fear. This may, or may not, involve people, as agents of the enemy. This is a GOOD SIGN. This tells you that what you are doing … or about to do … is scaring the devil. The enemy is afraid. Since he is a liar, and the father of liars, then you know he is “bluffing you”. Don’t be afraid to “call his hand” just like you would in a game of poker. The difference is that you’re going to use your Heavenly Father’s resources (you have the BEST hand!).
In this kind of situation, do the following:
Fast.
Wait on God; listen.
Then do what God tells you.
You may not even have to do anything. The fast may take care of the situation itself. And, remember: If you walk in constant communion with Him … if the Holy Spirit is your best Friend … and if you are involved in kingdom work, then you can expect His VERY BEST for you. There are many ways God works for you and many of these are “behind the scenes” operations: “covert” if you will.
GOD IS ALWAYS READY TO WORK FOR YOU
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go; I will guide you with my eye.” [Psalm 32:8]
Realize that this promise is both “individual” and “corporate”.God is not only working for YOU, but also for those PEOPLE under your tutelage and leadership. He wants you to KNOW His deliverance, direction, and dynamics: for your sake, as well as the sake of those people under your watch care.
To make sure we are the recipients of His instruction, teaching, and guidance we need to be open to His leading and to be Spirit controlled. The verse immediately following the one above tells us, “Don’t be like the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding, and whose mouths must be held in with bit and bridle.” [Psalm 32:9] This is why we need to be in God’s Word every day, talking with Him, listening, and sharing our faith with others: to have understanding of His ways and NOT going our own ways.
GOD WANTS TO WORK FOR YOU IF YOU WILL GIVE HIM THE GLORY
In the Tanakh, in the Book of Judges (Chapter Six) we read that the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the and of Midian seven years. Then they cried out to the Lord and, as a result, God raised up a deliverer named Gideon. Gideon had a band of 32,000 people ready to go to war. But God told Gideon, “The people that are with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, because [your people] Israel will boast in a vain way saying, ‘Our hands won the battle [it wasn't God]‘.” [Judges 7:2]
GOD KNOWS HOW TO WIN YOUR BATTLE – JUST LISTEN TO HIM
The Lord told Gideon, “Whoever is FEARFUL and AFRAID, let him return and depart early … and 22,000 people returned; and there remained 10,000.” Next, the Lord told Gideon, “The people are still too many.” God then had Gideon separate the remaining people into two groups, depending upon how they drank water: if they bowed down upon their knees, or if they put their hand to their mouth and lapped the water with their tongues as a dog laps. God then told Gideon he would save them by the 300 men that lapped, and the other 9,700 were sent home.
GOD CAN GIVE YOU A SIGN THROUGH YOUR ENEMIES
That same night the Lord told Gideon to go down to the host of the enemy because he was going to deliver them into Gideon’s hands. The Lord told Gideon, “But if you are AFRAID to go down then take your servant with you and you shall hear what the enemy says.” One of the enemy soldiers had a dream and Gideon heard him tell another soldier about the dream. The soldier said the dream was about Gideon, a man of Israel, “for into his hand God has delivered us [Midian and all the host].”
That is exactly what happened! That night the Lord gave Gideon and his band of men a GIANT victory. Only 300 with Gideon and they defeated the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east who were in the valley like grasshoppers in multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude. [Judges 7:12]
Remember: one person plus God is a MAJORITY! Be watchful for those situations where God can invade the enemy through you and where God will receive ALL the glory! The Lord can use those situations to bring deliverance, prosperity, and wholeness to multitudes of people. And God will be glorified because everyone will know you could never do these things on your own: they are MIRACLES!
“But thanks be unto God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua ha Meschiach (Jesus the Messiah).” [1 Corinthians 15:57]
In the next teaching we will discuss more in detail how God works “behind the scenes” to bring mass deliverance of nations and groups of people. Pray that God will guide you into the ministry of “national deliverance”.

CHECKS AND BALANCES FOR MARKETPLACE MINISTRY
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you lookout not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:3-4)
This scripture is basically telling us to look for the giftings in those we’re associated with, and to attempt to elevate them (or bring them into prominence, productivity, and power) … even at our own expense.
This, of course, has as a prerequisite that we have contributed to – or are contributing to – their spiritual well being. We want to promote those with spiritual integrity, not based upon what we have heard about them from others, but what we have experienced and know to be true in our own relationships and associations with them.
Network marketing is often likened to discipleship. However any models, business or otherwise, of TRUE Biblical discipleship have to adhere to the SAME core endeavor: to make people more like Christ. We are to make disciples of Christ … not our own disciples. Making our own disciples produces two bad fruits of inbreeding:
Greed; and,
Pretended love.
We are NOT to use people: either in business or ministry. To recruit people and then abandon them because they don’t produce is selfish: it is pure greed. True, some people don’t want to pay the price to develop spiritually or materially. They have simply not learned:
To count the cost; and/or,
To be good stewards.
However, to dump these people, or to relinquish our responsibility to help them because of inefficiency, weakness, or lack of skills on their part is not following the admonition of scripture. We have only to look at the example of our Lord and His relationship to the Apostle Peter. Even after Peter denied Jesus three times, our Lord didn’t forget about Peter’s wellbeing. He had an angel emphasize a personal message to Peter of His resurrection (Mark 16:7).
Humility is both the great leveler and the great standard. If we want to accurately assess our own giftings, and thereby help others to our maximum abilities, we should NOT think of ourselves more highly than what an accurate appraisal represents. We should gauge ourselves based upon the measure of FAITH God has given us. (Romans 12:3)
Do to others as you would have them do to you. Don’t use and dump.
Remember: “You reap what you sow.” Help develop those people in your domain.
Don’t operate based upon selfish desire. Operate out of true love.
Teach people to count the cost of their decision, endeavor, or enterprise; tell ALL the facts.
Be a good steward in your associations which God has arranged for you.
Teach those in your domain the responsibilities and rewards of stewardship.
Measure yourself by the FAITH God has given you and be humble in your self -appraisal.
